Al Di Meola plays (and looks!) very well for being almost 70. The concert was supposed to start around 6:30, but was delayed about a few hours, due to their tour bus breaking down 4 hours away. They had to get here by a few SUVs. The actual concert began around 10:05. Still, everyone was in good spirits, and the audience got to see the soundcheck (usually a sort of VIP experience), and the band was happy we stuck around despite the delay. We even got an encore of Race With Devil On Spanish Highway, where everyone was asked to stand and Di Meola asked lower rows to come near the stage. Luckily I was row D, which meant I stood pretty close. Pretty cool.
