Imagine someone didn’t follow the steps you have outlined, and as a result, has a four year old Akubra Byron hat with a coating on the fibres, with a thin woven hatband and a leather trim band around the exterior. Four years of sweat has resulted on an oily brown stain on the brim’s coated weave. Any advice on how to clean that off, or tone it down? Thanks for any advice. Rob
you answered my question there about the gaps on the side just got a panama and the gaps made me wonder if its not my size... by the way i have a jokey style that says goorin bros. with a penguin in the front i love it... never knew where it comes from and its great to connect it to a face!
We live in Florida and do not have a problem with hats drying out, but my husbands straw hat has lost its shape. How do I steam it exactly? Can you do a video demo
Felt can take the rain and snow no problem but I like to do it to make water bead off the hat. If it doesn’t get wet much it doesn’t need drying much. It just makes caring for the hat easier.
Hi, I have a wool forage hat with a cotton head band. Do you think the stretcher will work for that? What is the max it will stretch size wise? Thanks!
Just gave a short brim Stetson fedora to my friend, she has the fashion chops to pull it off and it fits her! Found a three inch triple x Stetson that fits me.
Hello all. Thanks my man for the video. It helped me tremendously. Your efforts and time are appreciated. The only gripe I have is I wish you could has used a better hat to illustrate a 2.5 brim size. The brim on that hat was floppy and it was a little difficult to gage how a 2.5 brim would look on me. Other than that, the video was great for me to learn and get a feel what size brims look good on me. Keep up the good work. Rock rock on!!!
I put a longer feather into my fedora similarly and it fell out and lost it.. is there any other steps we can do to fully secure it? Also where can I get more quality feathers ? Thank you
I wear feathers and such regularly, and have found a very small dab of low temp hot glue on the band side of the feather stem helps tremendously, as it allows easy release from the hat whenever I need to remove it... another tip, if you dont wish to use glue, is to find a small pin that you enjoy, and use the pin to help tack the base of your feather to the hat/band, whichever you prefer!! Best of luck!!
My favourite flat cap is a Christies of London "RADNOR". I bought it in 1975 when visiting Edinburgh. It's falling apart now but I am loath to throw it out after all this time. I have other caps for occasions when I need to be better dressed!
I am looking at several fedora that had a really fat band and is like to swap it out for a more narrow band. If I do this will the previous seam likely be visible on the outside of the hat?
Hello, hey, I have a question, I bought the bad ass cap and I have the question: what is the purpose of the card that it comes with that says (REPORT CARD), on the back it says Do u like me? Do I have to fill it or what???

Great video my man! As a new comer to wearing fedoras, this was a great introduction to understanding how to wear them and in what situations certain widths may be best for such as a summer day for shade.
