YEAH... I found you... So Happy. I am going Back into the BBQ Business... but I mainly want to Smoke Beef Jerky. I want to use an Off-Set Smoker that I can use char-coal and Stick/Wood for smoking... I still want to be able to Smoke all the Meats for BBQ... Brisket... Ribs etc... too. I want 3 racks at least... or more... I do not want anything that Electric... for over 50 years all we used is a REAL Smoker using Wood... Now... years later.. I want to do this.. but on a smaller scale... Any Suggestions... ??? Thank you so much for your help and sharing this great video
I bought the front shelf and the rack system for my Camp Chef Woodwind 36 Pro. Perfect fit and no drilling. Great addition to my smoker. Highly recommend.
Hey terry, thanks for the comment. The single set bolt provides significant advantages. first the install takes me about 30 seconds and without any tools required. Drilling holes and requiring tools would create a lengthy install process. Second, drilling holes in your grill would most certainly void the factory warrant. Finally, you can use a 7/16 wrench for piece of mind if you really want to tighten them. I suppose you can drill some holes if you want to permanently mount them, but it is absolutely not necessary.
I have to be honest. I thought this would be gimmicky but the no drill install was really thought out. I would care about drilling but a lot won't want to do that. My only beef is the liner, I can see grease getting between but maybe it doesn't. I like the bucket because it dumps easy and I toss it when I feel like it. Really cool idea though and a really well done video.
The grease drops straight into the middle of the liner. The kit also comes with self tapping screws so you can semi-permanently install it if you like :)
Installed mine today. Well built and looks like it will work well. But now I know why they installed on a new grill. The screws are a pain in the butt to remove. One screw stripped and two tore the welded nut apart.
Hey Jim! Glad you are enjoying it. Sorry to hear about the factory T screws stripping out. I've used vice grips on some of the older grills to get them out easily.
If you own one of our Pimp My Grill Rack Systems, it will already have the interior bracket installed. The other option is to use self tapping screws with the bracket that comes with the GMG rotisserie.
I have not heard of it interfering with many covers. However check that your cover allows roughly 7" of clearance. Worse case it'll still cover the grill just not the grease box
If i already have the GMG Rack-it system will this work with that bracket installed as well? Just looking to get as much variety out of the grill as possible! Thanks.
I just can't see you putting the rack system on the treagar pro 34 without pulling out the treagar thermostat out please show us im not the only one saying this on this video show us pictures or video on the pro 34
Hey Jeremy, if you’d like to request some photos email us at orders@pimpmygrill.com Basically the tracks in the brackets that guild your racks are connected by a frame. The frame portion of the brackets sits against the wall of the grill on either side of the thermostat, thus holding the tracks inward clearing the thermostat
Anyway to get this to work for the Camp Chef DLX 24? I asked support if it would on the PimpMyGrill website but never got an answer. Ordered my racks and they seem to barely not fit.
Thanks for the comment! We will release a version specifically for your model just as soon as possible. If you reach out to us using the contact form on the website, ask to be put on the list to notify for the DLX 24 and we will email you just as soon as its ready
Hey guys look at making some kind of rotisserie unit support system ! I do believe you will sell them.I wish I had something that I could convert and put one in there.I have the camp shelf 24 toss it around.Thank you
Its definitely on our list. The mounting brackets should be easy but you will have to drill through the stainless for the spit. Will be difficult to drill through that stainless..
I have not heard of it interfering with many covers. However check that your cover allows roughly 7" of clearance. Worse case it'll still cover the grill just not the grease box
Question, what covers up the hole that has to be drilled out, when I want to use the grill for something else besides a rotisserie. Wouldn’t heat be escaping out of the hole causing the grill not to heat correctly?
The hole's affect on performance is going to be marginal at best. Pellet grills are not made to be airtight. In fact, GMG allows up to 1/4 gap around the lid. I suppose you could put a couple layers of foil between the bracket and the grill's body if you like.
Well there is definitely room behind them to put something, though I would be very careful to ensure whatever you do is food/heat safe. Our upgraded baffles are so much thicker than stock, I doubt you will need anything additional.
Mine just arrived. Why doesn’t it have any installation instructions in the box nor on the website? Why does it only come with four screws when it clearly requires two (not included) for the side mount to the smoker? Where do the two plates with pre tapped box threads go? Amazing how for so much money one gets such an incomplete package.
The brackets mount to the side of the grill using your existing bolts from your stock upper rack as mentioned in the video. I am sincerely sorry for the confusion with the threaded plates. Those were a rolling change to improve the strength of the shelf and I have not had a chance to shoot a new video. We will do that soon. Those plates are your nuts that go on the inside of the self. Longer screws go in the bottom holes from the outside of the brackets. Short screws go on the top. Let me know if you are still having trouble and we’ll hop on a call
Was going to buy one but not compatible with the sidekick. A majority of the people who have the woodwind pro’s have the sidekick. The bucket works with the sidekick. 🤔
Yes it works with the WW pro currently unless you have the sidekick attached. The version for pellet grills with the bucket on the bottom will be available by Christmas.
