Bought some metal pulleys off Ebay. Watched your video several times, till I felt comfortable doing this project. Wife came out and helped some also. Got it done in 50 minutes. And I'm NO mechanic by any means. Wife said it probably saved us a bunch of money.
Thanks for watching! Ramp is called Kwik-Lift. I'd say that they are as safe as it can get. New ones go for about $1800, but I found one on FB Marketplace for $500 or $600
I didn’t repair it yet, but it looks like blend door actuator. After moving ac controls in different settings, eventually blend door actuator got quieter. I am still planning on fixing it one day.
well, it turns out that was not the problem. The switch was good but there was a plastic piece bout the size of a coin called the plunger that the switch pushes up against. without it your brake lights will stay on.
Hey man, I have a 2007 Toyota Camry hybrid after I replace the battery and put the orange safe and I went to the car to start it up but it didn’t. It shows lights on but not on and I make sure the orange key is on. It’s in the proper place, so any idea?
Brake cleaner dries very quickly and coils and gaskets there will see brake parts cleaner only couple times in their lives till it’s time for a new set. At least that’s my opinion. Thanks for your input though. I always appreciate different opinions!
Вибрация, в этом примере была вибрация именно когда на задней передаче. Также подушка будет с трещинами если изношена. Если не родная подушка то вибрации.
Nice video for DIY ! From what I've read on various Subaru Outback forums the hissing is known to sometime happens with HK amps. Sometimes its fixed by connecting any metal chassis parts to the ground. But as you plan on by-passing the amp your hissing problems should end then. I own 2011 Outback with a McIntosh nav and amp with 5 speakers and a woofer. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks for the tips! My understanding is that since aftermarket stereo amplifies the sound, having HK amp also amplify it is no go for a sound quality so bypassing is the only way to go. I guess I could have connect the wiring to the amp using RCA cables, but wiring would be more complicated and sound quality won't be too good anyway.
Good video, I also had issues with the movement once installed, my question is since the door arms flop around while installing is it possible that the arms are engaged in the slots of the white moving part (sector) ? Or does it matter where the arm pins engage into the sector ?
Not sure if I fully understand your question, but I believe that as long as you put the arm thing inside where it needs to go, it would be moving as it is supposed to. From my memory, while vehicle is off, you can move those arms around for an easier installation.
@@PZPal I watched your video again and noted the position of the white (sector) piece on the motor. I then connected the motor to the plug and put the AC in AUTO, this moved the sector to a horizontal position I then installed it in that position and it works fine now. Not sure f I had a problem with the way I did it before but it didnt move until I remounted it the way I described.
It goes by how many you drain if you want to count it like that, but if your transmission was leaking or burning oil you won’t get accurate amount. You better of using technique shown in the video.

5/24/24. Thnx so much for this video. I now have a problem, and because of you I now know WHICH IS THE #2 COIL. thnx a mill.
My 2011 honda Ridgeline I change all break pads, rotors and new fluid break and the truck still not breaking well. I have to press the brake pedal so hard to do a complete stop . Do you think can be the master cilinder?

Thanks for the video! I found an old UPS in a box during a move and decided to maybe fix it. Watched this video, ordered the batteries and now I have a new UPS for the new house. You're a life saver!
@ptd077s hi there! I am having issues with my headlight knob on my Ridgline. What do you mean by cleaning the contact, can you explain? My issue is I go to turn off the lights but it remains on no matter which setting my knob is turned to. It does eventually turn off when I play with it long enough.
I'd assume he's talking about the system board that is inside the switch or the connector to the switch. Either one of them can be cleaned with WD Contact Cleaner, just no guarantee if it will work.
@@PZPal thank you so much! My problem is I bought a new knob off EBay, switched it out.. and it’s doing the same thing. I’m not sure what else it could be.
That is weird, did you buy used one? Perhaps it has same issue as it is somewhat common problem. If not that, maybe there is relay that is going somewhere before the light switch. Also look at your original connector that goes into the light switch and make sure it's clean and not corroded.
My uncle told me about any Subaru, you get the best or most expensive, reliable, toughest gasket, screws, tubing, clips, spark plugs or any replaceable small parts possible, because you don't want to repeat the process for a long long long time.
One time is enough. He said replaced all those fragile parts, whenever he opens up the engine bay, because the whenever the next chance you get still gonna suck. While it sucks, fix or replace all other potential miseries.
Yeah, they've been great! Customer service is exceptional. My car broke on the way from there and their employee helped me tremendously! Vehicle is not mine but owner of the vehicle is still very happy with the battery and still gets better mileage per gallon
Yo this is definetly the best tutorial on valve gaskets, this was my first time I followed every direction to a T and had no issues while replacing or startup
You got me confused at the part where you where constantly taking the screw in and off. Why do that ? Isn’t it supposed to pump the exact amount you took off?
I taking the screw off to see if it's sipping fluid. The problem with adding the exact quantity of fluid that was drained is if there was leak or whoever did fluid change last time did not put enough, you'll be low on fluid.
Kind of tough to explain here in comments what I tried to explain in the whole video lol. can you try to ask me a more specific question and I'll try to answer?
The way it works, I'll try to explain in simple terms, the projector has shield built in it. When the headlights are in low beam, the shield is covering part of the lens. When the headlights are in high beam, the shield folds down and all lens is exposed. Hope it makes sense. Pretty much high beam wire goes to the shield and instead of turning light on or off, the shield folds when needed.
