Yes please to b raw!!!! Sony has needed better raw options for a while. Braw works great on most computers with DaVinci and it’s about time this option is available. (Hopefully) So many people have Sony stuff but will switch to other companies because they don’t have the codecs that lumix, canon, black magic and others have. Not to mention they have better frame rates on cheaper cameras. And are surpassing Sony in most areas now… Sony has been slacking hard in a lot of areas like this, and I myself owning an a7s2 wanting to upgrade have been wanting to get the a7iv but didn’t because other companies give you a lot more for less. It’s making me want to switch and just get new lenses… sell all the Sony stuff…. That’s a lot of work to do, but it’s just cause of Sony not making things like easy codecs 120fps4k and keeping the good stuff out of the lower range cameras. I don’t have much money these days, so it’s a big investment for myself, that won’t always be the case but so many ppl have issues with Sony and firmware and lots of little things like overheating. The market just has caught up with Sony and they are needing to do a lot more to keep people that are just in film making for the fun of it. If it gets annoying than people will ditch. Plain n simple…. lol. Man, what a rant. I guess I’m more frustrated about this stuff than I realized. Thanks for reading. I really hope they make b raw for Sony a series. Like really badly!
Can you use 3rd party PD USB C cables for the monitor? I have a car rig and would love to get all camera functions from the cabin including touch screen
I am so sorry you mist this opportunity to NOT involve the C70. Really this is a big missing point, It is nearly as you want to sell the C80. Think about it in the future comparisons. Thank you for this film too. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Pyxis monitor????! Are they kidding. Moronic. Complete BS. Be honest please. Did we need Sony or canon to add a monitor to any of their cameras. I would like to think that the team responsible for the Pyxis side monitor have been sacked. Who the hell is working in bm design team. Have they ever used a camera. Just the worst bs .
Thank you for not using charts! Somehow I prefer the Cato. That shot of the girl in the forest the DZO just looks so much more pleasing to me. I would’ve love to see maybe color corrected versions to be able to concentrate on the bokeh and focus fall off.
Definitely the SC-08 for reverbarant rooms. Seems to have a little more lower-mids as well. Not surprisingly, it was outshined by the shotgun mics in the outdoors settings.
18:40 - I'm very interested in having this monitor on my C400 (when it arrives). As a matter of fact, I'm willing to pay more than the current price if the monitor would be compatible with the c400. Having a screen like this would be amazing. The current one from canon is not as nice, big and functional as this one will be.
Wow, all this is amazing. Blackmagic as a company is just so generous and supportive towards young filmmakers and professionals. Hollywood needs to start acknowledging this.
@@mrshaheedmalik oh I see I’ve never used a BM assist and Sony ProRes is only through Atomos if I’m not mistaken so that’s why I was curious what you would need. So you’re saying it would only be through the BM assist monitor then and not internal? Internal into a type A or sd card would be pretty great.
@@parttimepaulBlackmagic raw only available via SDI output as of now but when you connected with BLACKMAGIC ASSIST only(FX6&9, later FX3 and cinema line he said)
I really want the Sony Creators App for BlackMagic cameras. Ability to monitor multiple cameras, without any accessories, wirelessly with an iPad... Huge.
Yeah, AF is essential to youtube and unmanned camera work. Also, why we can't have bm clouds instant editing as local version? We have BMD Store Mini 8tb, and we want to record 3 cameras via a 10g local network and get them straight to resolve. Atm that requires files to go over internet and have expensive cloud monthly payments.
Excellent presentation! I can’t wait to see (and use) the new immersive camera to see what it’s capable of. Immersive travel content (which is what I’m interested in producing) and immersive movies (horror, thrillers, choose your own adventure, documentaries) are going to transform how we view content. While I don’t think it will replace traditional video anytime soon, I can see it shifting that way in the future when these devices are the size & weight of ski googles (Ready Player One style). Watching something on a rectangular box vs feeling like you’re really there (concerts, sporting events, hard-to-reach travel destinations) is going to be a game-changer. Watched this video and commenting from my Apple Vision Pro right now!
@@TomStorey-CanonUKHi Tom, is it possible to assign a button to toggle between the three base ISOs (one toggle for every press) without having to choose a specific one on the screen every time I press the button?
@@TomStorey-CanonUK that’s great! Would it be possible to cycle only between the base ISOs without the auto also? Then it really could be used as a three-way switch like a Sony camera😊
