We did sell our dairy herd. I'll be covering that in an upcoming video. We went from making shakes to making steaks, lol. Still got plenty of cattle on the farm, just not Dairy.
Slugs are a big issue this year for a lot of folks. No winter means the stalks didn't break down, plus stalks now are tougher and that means they are harder to break down to begin with. Need to look into fall tillage, VT or springtime. Where we worked the ground in the spring the slugs weren't there, one field we didn't workup and the slugs have had a feast
Hey " I don't like rain on my hay "😂. Glad the rain held off, and you got put up. Thanks for sharing another great video, always enjoyable and interesting 👍👍
@user-ry2bb6yo3p We could definitely use a new set of blades. We keep planning on doing that in the off-season but never get that far down the list before it's time to get things rolling again.
Yeah, I have a bird problem, to say the least. It's hard to make a barn "bird proof." Unfortunately, I didn't have the time I needed to get the 766 shined up before the 1st cut, but you bet your hind end, it will be sharp by 2nd. Thanks for watching! Do you need some birds?... Asking for a friend 😅
Here in the piedmont Carolina’s 99% is no till. Plus double cropping is the norm. However we don’t have the winters you do. So take that into consideration
Not my farm but I think i would re plant everything and spray the hell out off them. You are lucky im dealing with my 90 years old dad.dont come to my dads we buy all no til but plow everything lol
Really has a cheap deck period But you can drill tap and install zert plus remove the inside bearings plastic covers 😊😊 Will last for years then if you grease it twice a year
Very nice planting set up. I have always liked the Deere drills. We run 66 series tractors but never knew if we had enough hydraulics to run a Deere. Looks like we could do it
What’s the story on the Claas baler? I think in your last video you said you chopped some rye, what did you guys end up doing with that? Congratulations on finishing up planting
Since this channel has been referred to as a dairy farm channel I tried to locate some videos of you milking cows, but I was not able to do that. Could you possibly explain why that is the case?
Not sure if that tractor is wired the same as our 1066, but on it there is a resistor behind the plate by the park brake that some how is tied in between the switch and the alternator, anyway if it goes bad or a dang rat chews the wire into it doesn't charge.
