I’m glad you tested out a few tie dye techniques for the t-shirt as I was going to attempt it myself and you’ve saved me a lot of trial and error 😅 The hair gel is so annoying to wash out and makes the hair really dry in my experience, still trying to find a solution for that! I think your brown eyed girl really resembles S3 Sheryl who I love so I’m excited to customise her 😊

Hi, could you make a video about dyeing Barbie hair with revlon hair dye? I'm trying that with my dolls, (using black & red, Though I got a cheap $1 brand that didn't work on the saran hair, just stained the face by leaching from the scalp under the protective layer I'd put on the dolls face to stop that very thing: Tip don't use $1 brands or types.) I'd like to see the process from start to finish, but so far I can't find anything helpful. Could you Please? It be huge for me If you did. Thanks! Ilike your how-to videos on doll hair dyeing.
I’ll see if I have some spare Barbie’s laying around! Barbie (and MH and most Mattel dolls) are seen as undyeable though due to their hair being synthetic fibers. RH, OMG, and a lot of modern MGA dolls have high grade Nylon hair which takes dye well, but they’ve used low grade nylon on some of the new budget dolls and now they won’t take dye well either- not even Rit Dyemore for synthetics. I used Dyemore on a Barbie and even for long term at high heat, it barely made a difference. I’d always heard that human hair dye didn’t work on Barbies but I can see what I have around the house and give it a shot :3

My favorite from series 1 RH Color and Create is the doll with purple eyes and curly hair. My favorite from series 2 RH Color and Create is the doll with mint eyes and dark skin tone. In my store,I saw RH Color and Create series 1 doll with olive green eyes. If I got all RH Color and Create dolls,from series 1 and series 2,I would dye them the same color as their eyes. I’ve seen a few folks in facebook groups dye the first series color and creates to match their eyes and its beautiful! Especially the green eyed girl with green hair looks really good. I did do mint hair on my series 2 color and create girl with mint eyes and I love her so much!!
I have had Fibromyalgia for the last at least 6 years. Because of my pain, I don't go out much either, like I used to. Same as you, close places aren't as bad. But longer drives hurt. I passed up a lot with Sabrina for good price, it was too far. And I don't have a Sabrina. 🙄 oh well, if I'm meant to have her, I'll find her some other easier way.
I get about 10 trigger point injections in my back every 4 weeks for my fibromyalgia and it does help for the most part- my super bad pain days are down to about 2-3 a month, but it’s expensive and it hurts super bad to get the shots, plus it hurts when they start to wear off and for a day or two after I get them, so if you don’t like needles that’s a thing too, but otherwise if you have a pain management clinic nearby, that may be helpful. I have a hypermobility problem too so I have a bad hip. I think traveling in that much pain is enough to give anyone travel anxiety though, so we can relate on that. I hope you find a good Sabrina soon- definitely stalk Facebook marketplace and yard sales!
Me again 😂....thanks for showing us your awesome collection. And what a pain in the butt it can be when it gets so big ! I have nowhere near the amount you do, but mine is getting a little cramped. Your video is a reminder to constantly organize ( which I do ), and re-evaluate. Are there dolls you don't connect with & could get rid of ? Or doll accessories you can part with ? Keep the hobby of collecting enjoyable & not overwhelming & out of control.
I like to remind myself that there is a fine line between thoughtful collecting and hoarding just because you can. I want to avoid becoming a hoarder just to get clout/show off because I always feel like that’s really gross and I can’t connect with people who live like that for social media approval. I try to maintain a thoughtfulness to my collecting so I sell stuff off a lot when I get overwhelmed. I regret it occasionally, but not enough to try and get back anything. I always remind myself that it’s not that serious. I recently sold off a lot and have more for sale just to keep some sort of balance in my life. Luckily my custom dolls bring happiness to their new owners 🩷
Yea, I have not bought any new reboot RH dolls. I don't like them. I do like the new Color & Create.....but still want the wrist articulation back ! I may get one of those. But so far, I'm not continuing with RH.
I think the new brown eyed girl may be a hard skintone to match. I saw @pixeldollz had trouble with the skintone match for her- she’s a close match (but too yellow-toned) for Priscilla. I can’t stand the lack of wrist articulation, but at the same time I really want to dye them. I ordered one of each so far just to inspect them so hopefully they’ll be here soon!
I definitely don't want my dolls in storage. Unless you pull some out for seasons, holidays etc. But I don't see how you can enjoy a doll unless it's out.
I think prices on the shoes may go up. The new RH collectors don't have any. And there's only a few fashion packs out there, which can barely be found. And the new dolls don't come with 2nd outfits. So, the shoes might be a sought after accessory?
I did store up on shoes when there were clearances and such and I’m glad I did for those exact reasons- especially like for Demi’s boots and Ainsley’s boots and such, like the really desirable shoes- I bought a lot of clearance dolls I didn’t really want just to get those shoes lol
Love your videos, I was saving everything but got way overwhelmed so I decided to trash anything cardboard and donate most of doll accessories ( I don't use them) also donate all of the monster high lockers and all the Barbie playsets and houses even some dolls that I did not love ( it was a hard decision but I'm glad I did) I gained so much space and feel so much better😊 I rather have the space for dolls 😺
It is definitely a hard decision, but the feeling of having a clean space and a clear mind makes it feel like you can finally breathe again for me personally!
I've saved all my shoe boxes. I have a lot too ! I did use a couple with the ribbon handle in my RH closet as drawers for socks & sunglasses. I haven't decided what I'm doing with the rest either. But they're just too nice to throw away.
The quality on the boxes was really good so they are hard to toss. I gave it a thought right after I made this video- the holographic colored film on the boxes may make them non-recyclable too. :/
this video is exactly what i needed. i got a hairmazing doll second hand and wanted to see the fashion pack shoes up close ♡ glad to know they share some clothes with some other dolls i have.
The clothes are surprisingly cute even for being thinner cheaper fabrics, also they have new little single fashion packs! I got the blue dress one and it fits my MH (with a bit of struggle on the hips though tbh), and I’ve seen someone have in on their RH doll!
I know this is a Year later, but be careful ordering Blythe doll clothes for Rainbow H8igh dolls because their WAISTS are NOT the same size---Rainbows are LARGER so it's best to get dresses with empire waists, and the Hoodies fit really well. Rainbow pants will fit Blythe, but not the other way around. Be careful what you order because it's not worth sending them back.
Thank you for the tips! I tend to order 1/6 BJD clothes too- a bit big but easier to stich a few stitches in to make smaller than get stuck with stuff that’s too small. Luckily I also collected Pullips, MH/EAH, FailFix, etc so anything that doesn’t fit one brand will probably fit another :3

I have done it in previous videos, but you just separate the hair and only dunk the strips you need, or you can use a spoon and pour the dye over smaller areas. 🩷

I’m going to try for that, I have a few more rows to photograph, so at the very worst I may have to push it back to the 3rd (I have super important dr appts the next two days that could affect how much I can get done), but I agree all at once is probably best.
Usually as little as $15-20 for single color dyes. Some of the go as high as $75 depending on the base doll or if they’re multi-color dyes, but most never go above $50. I try to keep them inexpensive so that they can go to loving homes.
At first I thought it would be easier by series but hearing you out its best to do them all at once... People will buy more at once instead of waiting for a series. Gurl we are so related! I have alot of collections as well... Could be a museum of sorts.. Lauras life by eras. I let go of alot of stuff in the move.. sometimes i look back but honestly Rainbow had me good and tight. I have alot of interests. I love your channel and customs... As far as Bella... I just dont know why they did her like that. Also Poppy in Slime. Ive just lost luster for some of the dolls tbh. Reminds me of other lines just kinda sinking. Maybe Pullips help but I gotta save. Rainbow High and Shadow High was just so much fun... All the unique friends in doll groups. Yeah, I may have to push it back til the 3rd to make sure I have plenty of time to post them all together because I have two important doctors appointments tomorrow and the next day that could affect how much I can get done by the end of tomorrow, but that’s not so bad. Haha, I bet our husbands would love having a museum dedicated to our craziness lol. I do hope to keep customizing, making videos, etc but with less mess to keep me stressed lol. But agreed, the luster is tarnished for me. The Moonbows and the other new stuff hinted at, none of it looks super interesting:( I know you and I both love our moms and want to take care of them!

It was really hard- I had to buy seconds of each and it took ages- I couldn’t find a second Daphne at all and luckily a doll friend a few states away had seen plenty and got one for me. I was getting worried I’d never get one.
you've mentioned the risks of dyemore and staining, is that just when dyeing clothes? have dolls you've dyed stained their clothes or has it not been an issue?
The staining happens with clothes as well. I had a pair of Kia shorts that stained one of my Bella’s really badly, same with shoes. Dyemore just isn’t great, but I think if there’s a Dyemore color you really want, maybe use the Rit Color Stay at the same time as dyeing. I only recently found out about it so I can’t say for sure that it’ll work, but it seems like it would give a better chance. Definitely rinse til waters clear and then make sure it’s fully dry before putting on a doll either way though.
I use fingernail clippers to remove the prongs and then they have a universal fit, but if you’d prefer to keep the prongs, message me on Instagram with what color you’d like and I’ll see what I have available and maybe can help :3

@xXprettyxkittyXx I just saw where someone took the lighter colored eyes, soaked the paper off the backs, then used colored markers to fill in the colored eye area and change the eyes that way and I was amazed tbh!
This is super common, Rita blacks and browns/tans are mostly all green based, so you’re going to want to use hot tap water- not boiling- and a small amount of Rit coral or orange and do a neutralizing rinse. It’ll help tone the green. Pink or red may also work if you don’t have the others on hand.
