Hi Chris, I'm a new subscriber and love your channel. I have a twigthorn and I absolutely love it. My favorite blade is a Gillette silver blue stainless steel because it gives me a great shave in any razor that I put it in. I love the thorn because it's so easy to maneuver around the mouth and nose. Always gives me a great shave. Thanks for all your insight on what shaving. All the best!
The vaccination that was never a vaccination, MRNA clott shot with Graphene Oxide, that was never tested prior to general release ie those that took it were very much Lab Rat's, no wonder you weren't feeling well, health can't be injected, fact.
I’m a school teacher without much money. I want a good razor quality razor. I’m looking at the shaving kit and an open comb plate. I’ve never spent more than $ 40.00 dollars for a razor. Most of mine are old Gillettes. Is a razor like this worth the price? I’ve also thought about the Rockwell stainless kit. What are your thoughts?
Late to the party on this video Chris. Yes i have all three of the the Rex year sets, 66 is my favourite by a country mile, followed by 55 and then the 77. The 77 is a bit of a punch of a scent. I tend to use various vetiver based EDPs and EDTs with it to blend the fragrance to one i really like. Like Jim, my original 77 soap arrived with terrible seperation in the soap puck which my UK vendor notified Rex of and was duly replaced with a puck that was perfect. The 77 was the only set to have this problem. The 55 and 66 were fine.
Nice shave Chris! Great lable on that soap! And that razor is a beauty 🤩👍 I don't think I've seen those GEM blades before, the ones from New Jersey. One of my last SOTDS: Mastro Miche Revisited Rive Gauche shave stick (unfortunately it doesn't smell like CAD or American Blend to my nose), PAA Solar Flare brush, Gillette Cool Wave splash, and Duke Cannon Ice Cold balm. Have a good one! Steve
I wanted to thank you for making me appreciate what was so clear to my grandfather, and that is that newer is not always better. I always had irritation using modern multi blade razors, and you encouraged me to try wet shaving for the first time. I am by no means doing it perfectly, or with the best equipment, but enjoying it all the same.
Nice shave Chris! Sorry to hear about your vehicle. Hopefully it's an easy fix. My shoulder is fortunately back to where I can enjoy some proper shaves again. Sotd was Yaqi final cut with a Vidyut stainless, MacDuffs spring cabin with Rockwell synthetic. Finished up with Proraso green splash. Hope you have some trouble free days ahead. Cheers.
Hi Chris Thanks for yet another excellent shave. Looks like I might have to get some of that soap. Hope the bad days are soon over, and you get some good luck. You deserve it! Look after yourself, and looking forward to the next shave. 👍👍
Super shave Chris checked out the soap on Slick Boys but out of stock unfortunately sounds like a good 1 and worked its magic as well. My SOTD on Fri last week Soap Clubguy PAA Razor Yaqi titanium ghost with Wilkinson sword blade 3rd use Brush red marble Yaqi Post shave witch hazel Stirling barbershop splash and after shave balm. Have a great week and take care of yourself 🙂👍🏻🙌
Great shave. My SOTD will be of the Rockwell 6C with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Platinum on its third use, Maggards B&W synthetic brush, Noble Otter Firefighter soap/splash duo, and the Duke Cannon Ice Cold Balm. Plates 5-6 are usually what I’ll use for heavy growth before adjusting down to the lower settings. Plate 1 does nothing for me at all, and the lowest plate that works for me is 2, which is what I sometimes go with for the ATG pass and cleanups. Plates 3-4 are my favorite setting on the 6C. Have a good one!
Great shave, Chris! IMO, one can never get a bad shave with the Rockwell 6C or 6S. The R4 plate is my daily driver. If I have 3 or more days of growth, I use plate R6 for pass 1 and then finish the shave with R4. I recall Kevy Shaves using the R1 plate for a 3-pass shave with a heavy growth to prove he could get a BBS result.
Yes Phil I couldn't exactly remember 😂 Hope your feeling better mate. Keep your chin up. Thanks for your support mate I appreciate it . Enjoy the rest of your week buddy. Stay smooth and stay strong 👍
Hey Chris. One thing I keep seeing is people saying that Rockwell hesd is too bulky to shave under the nose. This makes no sense to me as half the bulk is below the blade, which makes no difference at all. Above the blade it’s quite normal. As for Tesco Mobile don’t get me started. They don’t recognise my number anymore as being one of theirs, so when I had a grievance recently it couldn’t be dealt with. Even though the only way I can pay my bill is to them. I know. It’s good to hear the animals in the background. Cheers Chris, thanks for the video, be well
Oh yeah, another thing. I also see blokes moaning that the 6S, being matte and not polished, is not smooth enough. In my opinion this would only make a difference if they’re using too much pressure or their lather is not up to snuff. Another gripe lol. Cheers Chris
I totally agree Bill. Sorry to hear about your negative experience with Tesco Mobile. To be honest with you they've been quiet helpful apart from there insurance department. I hope you get it sorted soon buddy 👍
I hear what you're saying Bill. But in my experience it does have a slight drag. But it doesn't effect the shave. Enjoy the rest of your week buddy. Stay smooth and stay safe 👍
Hey Chris. I used this same set today. Have a great week. My SOTD: Razor - Timeless Razor Aluminum Slant Blade - 3rd use Gillette Spoiler blade Brush - Omega 10066 boar brush Soap/AS - Gentleman's Nod Kendei
Hey Steve. It's a great scent isn't it. Haven't used a Spoiler blade for some time now. Might have to dig them out for the next shave. Enjoy the rest of your week buddy. Stay smooth and stay safe 👍
Pretty sure those Excel blades are for cutting cardboard and the like. They look like Gem blades but are the typical workroom paint scraper blades. The ones with cardboard are for work use and not shaving despite their look.
Great shave. Good to see you again after another unexpected absence. I have plenty of floral scented soaps, mostly lavender which I like. My SOTD tomorrow will be of the Rockwell 6C with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Platinum on its second use, Chiseled Face Summer Storm soap, Maggards synthetic B&W brush, AV Ice Blue splash, and the Edge Cooling Post Shave Lotion. Hopefully everything dies down soon, and as always, have a good one!
Hey buddy. Yes it is. It's an exceptional piece of engineering. Always have a great shave with the Saber. Enjoy the rest of your week buddy. Stay smooth and stay safe 👍
Hi Chris great shave, nice to see you and to hear that home gets all well! I have started working in the 📯. I have a lot to learn! But it's okay! Have a great week 😊
Nice one, Chris. Hope things calm down in the weeks ahead. Take care. My SOTD was an all-Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic (soap, witch hazel, balm, splash) using my Rockwell 6S with a Personna Lab Blue (3rd use).
