You can FINALLY stop dieting and learn how to eat "NORMALLY"!! Videos about trusting your hunger, making peace with food, and living your LIFE! Thanks for watching, Eve Lahijani
I’m a member of the clean plate club, my house mate is not. Any time she she leaves any food on a dish, ie egg yolk on her plate, jelly on her knife, I panic saying to myself “How dare she waste that food!!” I know it’s dysfunctional, I know it doesn’t matter but it’s still SOOOO triggering. I was raised in a waste not want not home and I have a long way to go before I get to a point where I’m not panicking and “cleaning” her dishes for her in a rage full panic.
Love the connection you have to what you are feeling inside!! I wonder what that part that’s feeling panicked is afraid will happen if there is “waste”?
For anyone who's thinking about taking Eve's free private session -- I did that and it was great. There was no attempt to upsell. It was a legit, full-on session, and I found it very helpful! Eve is sincere and brilliant. I can't recommend her enough. And no I don't get anything for shilling. 😆
I have been living an extremely difficult life for more than 2 years, with constant uncertainty and fear. I also struggle with a negative body image, which leads me to try different diets. I have experimented with KETO, OMAD, and even a 7-day water fast. Despite these efforts, I have gained more than 10 kg in weight over the past 2 years. Recently, I deleted the fasting app, and since then, I have felt much better. better.
Good for you for deleting that app!! Turns out dieting is an effective way to gain weight (and food obsession, overeating, etc). What a journey you have had, welcome here @ellentan5068!
❤"School in session". Eve your wisdom has been saving my world for years. In this video , you are looking gorgeous. The candles are so calming. What caught my attention is the pink stone, whats that? Its so wholesome. Its having a good vibe. Recently , I heard a guru preach that we need to eat less and stay hungry for a certain time as its good for the body. It worked only for 2 days ,in those 2 days i binged a lot and when i was not eating i was thinking about food and eating.... which made me realise what you have told in tedx " The hunger fullness scale" and " getting myself too hungry to binge later on" " too much food fog " i immediately realised what i experienced . From that day onwards, I am back to eating according to how much my body is asking for ,including little binges if any. I have started going for walks and peaceful cycling to understand my emotions better. I am never going to play around with my body's hunger unneceserrily esp because Im really happy with my eating slowly over the years. At least I am a little bit far from inner judgement . Thankyou Eve.❤ May you be very happy and may your life be very fulfilling always. God bless you .❤
Yes, it seems like staying in touch with your body has been a journey for you - with several temptations to ignoring it or putting someone else's advice above your own connection. Good for you for coming back to your own inner guidance and wisdom again and again. Love that you are enjoying gentle movement and tuning into your emotions. The crystal you are seeing is Rose Quartz and I have it sprinkled throughout my space ✨💖✨. All my love!
Yes , you are at the right place. This channel will transform your inner world in a very loving way. I promise you will never ever want to leave from here ( #experience is speaking ). Peace 🌷🌷
Just found your channel….struggling with my food choices…husband eats food very fast….feel like I am now isync with his pace….awful feeling….would rather eat alone. Love to cook but don’t enjoy eating…find myself over eating if we sit down together.
@corra7 welcome to the channel, so glad you’re here! Nice work in pinpointing the challenge, the next step is to determine - what about his eating makes it hard for you to stay in alignment with yourself? How can you stay in alignment with yourself no matter what he’s doing w food…? Give yourself some time to observe yourself and ponder this, and let us know what you find out ♥️!
"My clothes are meant to fit my body, and not the other way around." 💪Also what you said about making a shopping list for clothes, and taking along a family member. My kids get me and would be great at this. Also they're great at thrifting. I'm looking forward to a boho phase! Thanks for this video!
BOHO phase! Dave I love that!! What an asset to have kids who are good shoppers AND thrifting! Good luck with your new threads and thanks for sharing 🙌🏽
I'm convinced that if you focus on nutrition then the calories take care of themselves! Plus, I found that it's true that if you're not getting adequate nutrition, then your body keeps you hungry.
Yay so glad you could join me! Ooo I love a good strir fry :) (they don't have to be exact at all!) 1/2 onion yellow or red (chopped) 5 cloves garlic (chopped) 1 pound carrots (chopped) 4 celery sticks (chopped) 2 zucchini (chopped) - and/or any veggie you love - - Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, mushrooms and broccoli work well too! 1/2 boullion cube 1/2 cup marinara 2-3 cans of your favorite beans drained and rinsed (I use some mixture of black, garbanzo, cannelloni) * Saute the onion in oil until translucent in a big pot * Add the garlic for about 2 minutes * Add the rest of the veggies and saute for a few minutes * Add the beans * Add just enough water to cover all the ingredients * Add consume and marinara * Bring to a boil It should be ready within 10-20 minutes depending on how cooked you like your vegetables. Eat and enjoy!! Note you can cut the veggies anyway you want - so I like to play with different shapes LOL. I like bland foods, so you can add more of anything for more flavor. Sometimes I sprinkle some shredded cheese or corn chips on top! Maybe a squeeze of lemon or a shake of pepper if I am feeling wild LOL! If you have it, let me know what you think ❤
Haha I was triggered by the title, but then when I watched the video, the advice felt super good. I'm a big fan of tip #1, adding nutrition. That was probably the biggest thing I did to reduce hunger and cravings. It turns out that previously I had been constantly hungry because I constantly needed nutrition, no matter how many calories I ate. Adding nutrition was magic. (And I found that, contrary to our cultural indoctrination, nutritious food properly prepared is the most delicious food there is.) Thanks for the video, Eve!
You’re right, I was being tricky with the title 😈 glad I lured you in and that you found it felt good and resonated with you! Thanks for sharing your valuable experience and your point around our cultural programming 🙌🏽
Also please share the crispy recipe , it would be amaziiiiiing if you continue these sweet eat alongs with us ❤❤❤ thankyou. Also, have you tried naan ,it is an indian bread .
Yes, naan is delicious! Especially with the garlic ❤ Here's the recipe for the vegan tuna salad: 1 can rinsed garbanzo beans 1Tablespoon yellow mustard 1Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup hummus Juice of one lemon Mash all the above ingredients together, then add: 1-2 small dill pickles 1/4 chopped red onion Goes great on seaweed or in a sandwich or with some crackers... Even on naan!! If you try it, let us know what you think!
Hello Eve ❤ , Thankyou for making this beautiful video. I am so deeply loving it ,want to cry tears of inner joy ,its so full of love and calm. 😊 Really Wholesome ! ❤❤❤❤❤
No amount of self help can compensate if their is a lack of self love .- Eve 🙏🩷🌷 Personally, this video makes me feel i have read the essence of all the books i have read and videos i watched. Somehow i find layers of wisdom in your words starting from your tedx . This video esp. Is amazing. Thankyou .
Lots of usefull tips. To recongnise what's going on in you live is so hard. I will focus on it more often in the near future again. Thank you! I missed your video's.
This is great! Thank you! A takeaway from this video for me is to think about the difference between negative instant gratification and positive instant gratification. The words "instant gratification" are commonly seen to be negative, but I don't think they always are. After all, we say, "No time like the present!" in other contexts. But I think you nailed it when you mentioned the feeling of there being something wrong with the present moment, and one has to fix it. As part of sitting with my cravings, I'm also going to notice when that negative feeling about the present moment shows up and when it doesn't. 🥰
I saw in another place that for any kind of learning, stuff that you learn over a longer period of time sticks better than stuff learned over a shorter period of time.
Have been caught in the vicious cycle of eating mindlessly and promising myself to compensate for it the next day or thinking now that I've ruined my discipline why not go all the way and eat as much as I possibly can and make up for it later? After all that starvation, I deserve it and torturing myself like that. I'm glad I'm out of it now.
I paused the video to answer the question you asked. What a brilliant question! What a fabulous poem! I feel like I've been ungrateful, unkind and violent to my body by trying everything under the sun to change it. I've embarked on a journey to be grateful for my amazing body. Thanks for the great knowledge you're sharing with us ❤
What I learned from this video is to pause for a moment before reaching out for food and make sure my body is really hungry for that food and eliminate reasons such as boredom, tiredness, sleepiness or simply because that food is available.
I hate seeing food being wasted, I like good food, I’m a fast eater because food begins to feel nasty when it stays long in my mouth, and when I do eat out, I don’t see the point of packing to go when I came to eat there, especially if I’ve eaten most of it This feels relatable and I hope it helps
Hi Eve, so good to see you! <3 I recently hurt my back and had to stop exercise all together! That was hard, and as you know I had a severe eating disorder and exercise addiction. I got a spinal epidural steroid injection today, hoping to start feeling better so i can get back to my normal lifestyle! But I will definitely have to go about exercise differently now, I need a new routine, so I don't hurt my back again. Love seeing you and your videos are always so informative and sweet! I hope you are doing well! <3
Blessings ahead to your body and your journey Robin! How wonderful to hear that you are willing to adjust your routine to protect your back. Love having you in my world and your updates!! 😘😘😘
What about waking up late like around 2 pm in the afternoon and family is eating lunch. After eating lunch at like 5/6 pm I wouldn’t feel hungry until 9 pm then i would tell myself to fast but unfortunately binge at midnight
@@vitamineve i think I wouldn’t be able to make up for binging and i feel afraid of adding more calories to it. Sometimes i have this feeling after a while of eating the meal where i start craving the taste of the food and all I could think about is the leftovers. I don’t know why my mind keeps telling me to go eat stuff even though I’m not hungry and i just ate. What’s this called please?? And how do i stop it
Can i eat breakfast if i woke up during lunch time? Can it be just 2 meals for the day? Can i eat dinner late like at midnight? I’m scared bc people say I would gain weight if i eat at night
@@RU-viduser10873 These are all really great questions and illuminate your determination and commitment! Yah! Yes of course you can eat whenever you wake up! Also, if you see that you are going over 4 or 5 hours without eating - - you may be setting yourself up for a binge/overeating/food obsession situation. So feeding yourself "regularly" is key in overcoming things... even if that means eating at "late/odd" hours. And this can feel really scary too! To let yourself eat throughout the day (especially if you are used to going long hours without eating). So if you want to talk anymore about it - - you can learn more about having a call with me as my gift to you, here: vitamineve.com/application.
