Do you find yourself an instant gratification patterns with food?
For example:
* When you have a craving for something you feel you have to eat it immediately.
* You’re uncomfortable with food in your stomach so you feel a sense of urgency to change some thing to feel less full.
* You don’t like the way your body looks so you have to find a miracle quick fix.
* You ate the wrong thing and you have to hurry up and compensate now.
* Or something else?
Furthermore, many who struggle with these patterns are also in a hurry to overcome them!
Learning how to work with the need for instant gratification with food (or in general) can be a key part in healing your relationship with food.

This is great! Thank you! A takeaway from this video for me is to think about the difference between negative instant gratification and positive instant gratification. The words "instant gratification" are commonly seen to be negative, but I don't think they always are. After all, we say, "No time like the present!" in other contexts. But I think you nailed it when you mentioned the feeling of there being something wrong with the present moment, and one has to fix it. As part of sitting with my cravings, I'm also going to notice when that negative feeling about the present moment shows up and when it doesn't. 🥰
