👉 Dimash sang Ikanaide (live and for the first time in Japanese) on the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021(in his studio). Because of the pandemic, the annual Tokyo Jazz Festival took place online again. Filmmakers verify that the videos have not been edited and manipulated, so the singer sings live. In 2020 Dimash also participated in the famous annual Tokyo Online Festival with 2 songs: * S.O.S. - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WdKYDoqKLP8.html * Samaltau - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cEyLyKW-gWY.html The original song Ikanaide was composed in 1989 by Koji Tamaki (*1958) singer and songwriter, the lyrics come from one of his lyricists Goro Matsui. In the same year, the song was used as the theme song for a Chinese-Japanese television series Farewell, Lixianglan, about the Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920 - † 2014) a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling. Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese. Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to Koji Tamaki. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out: Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OpgnM2MccCQ.html Dimash's Japan Fan Club asked the famous Japanese author of lyrics of 'Ikanaide' Goro Matsui about his emotions at Dimash performance. It's one of his favorite songs: "… I heard Dimash singing "Ikanaide" by accident. The first thing that impressed me was his crystal clear tone and expressive voice. I heard other Asian artists perform the song many times, but despite their magnificent vocal skills, none seemed to capture the true meaning of the original lyrics. In the chorus of the song, the line "Ah, Ikanaide" is repeated several times. And although these are the same words, each line has a different meaning. And it seems to me that Dimash felt it. " In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dtM2EsgHD3M.html The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently: - The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for the passage of time, a farewell and change...sad but inevitable and irrevocable - The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss of a loved one, is full of pain, begs, suffers... heartbreaking. I'm totally mesmerized by how sensitively Dimash differentiates and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whispers and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears flow... and at the end everyone suddenly holds their breath, we hear Dimash breathing, then a deep and comforting hum. I've never heard anything like that from other singers in my entire life. Only Dimash can do that. This is true mastery. * The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Autuumn Strong - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kmi2cVijdMo.html This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong. * Great performance (Chinese version) of Dimash from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: Autumn Strong - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-437IEsDIZfE.html * Other version by Dimash: In Moscow on March, 2019 - Autumn Strong - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--ewR8Boc21I.html (Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)
Ikanaide means 'don't go' and was written by the Japanese singer Koji Tamaki in 1989. This song is sooo beautiful❤️. And he performed it with so much emotions. You literally can feel his pain😪. His first song in Japanese. He has been invited to perform at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. But he couldn't go to Japan because of Covid. So he had to sing it from the studio in China. There he took part in the show Shine! Super Brothers. I’m not sure but I think it was his studio in China. But I do know he got a studio as a gift for his birthday. If the Japanese reactors are to be believed, Dimash sang in perfect Japanese. Some also claimed that it was better Japanese than many Japanese themselves😅. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️
Dimash recorded Ikanaide performance for the Tokyo Jazz Festival Nov 2021 online concert during Japanese quarantine while Dimash was in China for resumed live autumn and new year's performances there. This is why you see him singing in a studio instead of on a stage. Dimash sang Ikanaide as a tribute to Koji Tamaki, the composer's 30th anniversary in the music industry. Koji is a very famous singer/composer with an illustrious music career in Japan/Asia. Dimash has actually been singing the Mandarin version (different lyrics that replaced the original Ikanaide lyrics for a tv docudrama theme song called Autumn Strong) since 2017 when he sang it on the Singer competition. Very different emotional flavor to Autumn Strong vs Ikanaide which Dimash differentiates beautifully in each different song. Same melody but not the same song. Only Dimash could do both songs justice. He sings Autumn Strong (so far) at each of his solo concerts through this day. The Singer version is absolutely gorgeous but the version he sang in Kiev Ukraine in 2020 was haunting and prophetic (on his RU-vid channel). You should hear both versions. Caution: the Gloria Wu recording of the Singer version of Autumn Strong has the audio manipulated 1/2 step down from the original CCTV aired version to avoid copyright so you might want to view only the "behind the scenes" info from Gloria Wu and skip the actual performance and find the CCTV original version of Dimash's performance on the Singer 2017 to hear the true notes.
This is a new version Dimash asked Igor to compose to be religion neutral where regardless of religion, denomination, or sect you could appreciate the song.
It's not a straight forward answer, easrly in his career Igor Krutoy was composing songs for him, since Dimashes has compos3d some of his own songs, but generally doesn't write the lyrics. And it can be a couple of people with him that irons out the composure. He has a bachelor's degree in classical and contemporary music, a masters in composition, and should be finishing up his Phd soon. Dimash typically has his input into just about everything. He is very capable. Not a perfect answer, but a truthful one.
One of my absolute favourites. He is the master of conveying the emotion of a song & this is based on a very sad true story. The writer & original singer is Japanese singer Koji Tamaki. Thanks for reacting to this mesmerising song 😊🙏💞
This is such a sad song.😢 Thank you for this wonderful reaction to our beloved Dimash. Best singer on the planet. Many are experts in one or 2 genres but Dimash has technical prowess, stamina and versitility. You should check out "When I've Got You" music video or "Be With Me" music video. Thank you👍❤️🔥👍 🥰🥰Much love from Canada🇨🇦
This is one of my favorites, Thanks Dear. He is 31 this May. Check out his dedication to his fans and his life, Omir. A love prayer, love that you are going down this rabbit hole, we are with you. There are two versions, one has his brother Mansur playing the guitar, love both. He sent this to us on his birthday last year.
This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!". For those who want to know the original work, just check this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2j3ab7cu_30.html
You got the pronunciation right. He will be 30 y.o. on May 24th. Thank you for a wonderful reaction and commentary! The original version by Koji Tamaki is very emotional too.
LYRICS IN BOTH SONGS 🎶 ARE EVERYTHING🎶 Autumn Strong 🇨🇳 & lkanaide 🇯🇵 There’s a historic backstory 🥺China WWII Japan😢💙 The “Autumn Strong” performance of Dimash in China’s “I’m a singer” competition. He learned Chinese in a week 🇨🇳 Now he’s learned Japanese & sings the original version for Japan 🇯🇵 The JAZZ FESTIVAL was during LOCKDOWN 😯 This puts his language count at 13 at the time of this recording 💿 His HONOR is showing again‼️🤗 DIMASH - AUTUMN STRONG “BACKSTORY” 👀 🇨🇳 with subtitles ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FXQ58U-Eddg.html DIMASH - IKANAIDE 🇯🇵 with subtitles ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8mM-bp5PB34.html KOJI TAMAKI - IKANAIDE ORIGINAL SONG 🇯🇵 with subtitles ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2j3ab7cu_30.html I love how he’s blended the 🇯🇵 & 🇨🇳 songs together with the warble in the beginning’s, and the vocalizing “Her” at the ending’s 🥺 The song writer 🎼 praised Dimash on his getting the “Ah’s” 🎶 so perfectly to what he intended they should convey in each phase👌🎤 Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦 I also watched a Japanese reactor comment that the 🇯🇵 language is usually pronounced wrong with a hard consonant sound of most western speakers. He said that it’s different and should be weaker to get it right. He was so impressed with Dimash getting the enunciation correct ❤️🇯🇵 Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦 ❤️2U&ALLU❤️🦌🦌💫🌎🕊️🇺🇸
Beautiful reaction ☺️ I believe he is already the best singer we have on this planet! There might be very few singers like Pavarotti, that were/are a little better only in their own genre and their own range. (At the end of a long career.) But none of them can do all the other stuff Dimash is able to do, while Dimash would in time be able to surpass the others even in their own specialty. Since he is already at world-class level in all kinds of different singing styles and techniques. ❤
