you kinda sound like elo musk, this isnt the idea that inspired the cyber truck is it? joking :) thinking of putting a few on the side too, why not grab a few more amps along the way : )
Hello I also had the same problem, only I have an older model of fiat Ducato 2005 and it is not the same, please help me where the switch off button could be
I am about to sortout the scuttle on my Boxer motorhome as I have the same leaking, I am going to remove it thorugh (and wipers, bonnet etc...) as I have a ton of dirt behind it. I will be resealing mine back in with sikaflex ebt+
Interesting and somewhat alarming vid - thank you. I’m going to treat the injector valley on our van with XCP Rust Blocker as I think it’s more suitable than WD-40 for inhibiting corrosion
Many thanks for your video Afram, you are the hero of the day. Got stuck this afternoon in a viaduct in Porto after a big pothole. Waiting 4 hours for someone to pull us away. Before they arrived I found the button (the manual was not clear to me, your video was!) Keep on the good work! 🫶🏼👏
Drive her on ... on just the rims. Do you realise what climate change goes into producing the rubber for tyres ? Second thoughts ditch the rims as well. Steel production. Ditch the hubs. The track ends. The cv. The axle. Hey ... ditch the whole frikkin' van while you're at it. Buy a horse and stick a rubber bung in his arse to stop it's climate change far... Was probably a good video otherwise though, auto mechanics know-how bits and bobs usually are. Tuned out at the climate change bit. Aussie WILL get COOLER and I'll give you any odds on that.
Wd40 isn't much good, it's mostly white spirit with a tiny bit of oil. I've sprayed my recessed injectors with corrosion x ...it polar bonds to the metal and is unbelievably good at freeing seized components as it creeps up the threads. I've sprayed all other areas with corroheat. Use self amalgamating tape to wrap around the union of the windscreen drain that is immediately above the engine cover. I don't get any water drips in at all now and boy has it rained lately 😢
Thanks for posting. Very helpful. Also. Do you know where the Hydraulic Fluid goes? And does it need checking or maintenance? Can’t seem to find anything on it. I think it is the black cap behind that one
You knew the statistics on how much those windmills save. Do you know how long they last, the cost of maintenance to include the diesel to get them through the factory, to the farm and then for maintenance. Don't forget to add the cost of material and what the global impact is to make all those materials. According to many studies produced, these would need to produce for 12 to 20 years to pay for themselves, which they are lasting an average of 6 years. Then to recover from the impact on the environment they need an average of 84 years non stop production, with no additional repairs. Don't get me wrong I think we need to be my responsible but your a idiot if you think this is the answer. We live off grid, and on solar so we understand the concepts and principles of wind power and solar. You clearly have a limited knowledge or experience in these fields so why you opening your mouth?
Hi Afram, Could you please tell me what time of year did you do this trip? I have just put a deposit on a Horizon Casuarina (Ducato chassis). Unfortunately, it is on the dealers lot, but I can not have it until late September. It is their display model for the yard as well as one they to motorhome shows. Their replacement to this one won't be built until October. It's painful to wait. But then again, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos and learning a lot. Many thanks for your time and effort for an enjoyable viewing. Cheers Paul.
I love this. There are solar farms with the PV panels mounted upright. They are bringing in shockingly high amperage like this. I am planning on running panels down both sided of my van. Sure half will be in the shade, but I will still get much more power than if I am limited to the roof only.
Having a switch with a light built-in would make installing a bit simpler. There is only one hole to drill in the dash. And it would be very obvious what switch needs to be switched off.
I LOVE YOU!!! Ive spent hours at the "rear" doors testing cables, plugs, sensor etc trying to fix this problem. Why the hell they cound not call it the "sliding" or "side" door is beyond me. Thank you👍
Hello , whag was the BBC rebd if thud camera?? Where to buy it..i see so many different camera dale looking but different price? There is no green or red line for guidance of distance?? After years is it still good quality ,? No bugs?
Hmmm, not very useful to be honest. The feed to the remote switch is after the mechanical switch, therefore to be powered the light has to initially be on. So you can benefit from using both a mechanical and remote switch independently. It would be much better to build in a 2-way circuit (UK) or 3-way circuit (US). Then each switch would work independently, like the upstairs light in a home, switchable downstairs and upstairs. Can't honestly see a use for wiring it your way described 🤷
I live on a niesman bischoff flair and whenever i use the electric kettle while connected to the electricity charging, it triggers off and stop charging and has to be reconnected again all the time. So now before i boil the water, i remove the electricity... boil it and connect again ... interestingly, I'm indian and the product you mentioned or the prestige company is very popupar in india for household appliances and pressure cooker.
Sweden calling! I spent much effort fixing this on my Ducato x250 back in 2021. I removed everything and did it from scratch. I USED THIS SEALANT: SikaLastomer-710 (Butyl-sealant). Really happy with the result. I messed up some plastic clips of course but everything was easy to find online and order.
I don't mean to be negative (pun intended) but I expect you'll have a problem sooner or later with that connection to the headlight. There's a fair bit of current and heat in there, and you need a really solid connection for it to be durable. A previous owner of my car made a headlamp connection much as you've done, and the poor connection heated up, melted the cabling and made a real mess.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am thinking about glueing 3 solar panels (flat, light ones) with 130 watt peak each on the side(s) of the van, additionaly to my 420watt peak on the roof (standard poly crystal ones), because I am planning to do winter camping in mediterranean area. So I thought, for winter time, I could face the wall with the panels to the sun, and because of it´s lower azimuth of winter sun rising, it should give even more power than the roof ones.
Hi thank you for updating his video;I have a question about the Fiat ducato gearbox (ducato turbo diesel camper 2013) . I was away for 45 days. Came back home and started the car but it showed me the message " gearbox unavailable" Would you happen to know what might cause this. Anything to do with low fluid in the gearbox?
Used that same one few years too and to all to know you can put even two shunts in series! I have now this one and Victron Smart Shunt in series and working fine!
What is this? Is this newer version problem? Mine is 15 years old and it is full and never even checked this? In Mine that reservor is in good and easy place also!
