Makes you wonder how Egyptians could have made granite sculptures far more precise and ten times bigger with only flint and copper chisels.

This is awesome. May i ask if you feel that people thousands of years ago would have been able to do this? Could this be done with stone, iron or copper tools? Or is having extremely hard steel or tungsten essential?

Beethoven and Chopin’s no longer walk this earth because nobody dedicates themselves to creating pure music. The same can be said for the Egyptians and their “lost technology.” That lost technology was grit, determination and genius. I also once saw a video of a guy lifting damn near an entire car’s engine with his bare hands. People like that were making those pyramids, not the softies you see nowadays.

Hmmm 🤔 the ancient alien folks seem to think that this is impossible with hand tools. 😂

Gentle reminder : when East India company invaded India a lot of artisans and skillful people were either killed or forced to do something else for a century. There is a high probability we lost valuable technologies, tools and skills due to the shift.

Lotta people saying that smooth curves with simple metal chizels in granite is impoosible. Obviously complete horseshit. Carving looks damn fine, especially for something that's "impossible"

And how exactly did the egyptians precisely shape 100-1000 tons tatues and obelisks with copper chisels? That thing barely chips away with a steel chisel and a sledge hammer. A copper chisel would have folded like a lawn chair against granite.
@Brian-ve2ff
@Brian-ve2ff Год назад
Why is that misleading question always asked? Copper is not a suggested metal used by Egyptians. They had arsenical copper alloy which is much stronger than copper but still not so great for stone removal in granite. They used flint chisels more effectively.
