I'm so sad I missed the stream Snowy! I'm just catching it now. Any live of yours I can catch makes me happy! It's nice to interact with you! Actually, when I visited the USA I interacted a little with some Americans, really nice people, in fact. What do you think about Brazilians? Have you ever met one Brazilian guy or girl over there? I think it's not common where you live, I guess... In the north US, right? I guess immigrants don't usually go that far. Well, thank you for having streamed once again. Although I have lost the live I can watch later anyway. I wish you much success and luck in life, bro!
Hey Snowy I dream of playing Pokemon with you competitively! Pokemon crystal, of course It would be fun! Or pokemon stadium... Who knows. Well, I have much fun watching you playing too! Thanks for playing!
Oh Snowy, I fell asleep while I was hearing you playing the game! 😔I hope next time I can remain awake 😊the best time was when you sang "Diglett dig, Diglett dig, Diglett dig trio, trio, trio, trio" 😂! You're pretty fun! Thank your for displaying all attention to me in the beginning! I'm gonna watch this carefully and slowly very soon, since I fell asleep... Thank you for the video!
Was surprised to see some FF content when I came over to check out some pokemon runs, let alone my fav one! Ik this one isn't as popular as other FF entries but I just love the optimization aspects of it, especially on GBA. Came to appreciate the story more replaying it later too. Very much a core game to my childhood even when it was before my time. I'd love to see you tackle more stuff in this game, as a kid I had fun doing stuff like soloing all the omegas in the omega mk. II room so it's very cool to see other people push this game to its limit. Active mode + highest ATB speed and this game becomes one of the most difficult turn based RPGs. Side note: I knew of the Objet d'art ABP grinder but I had no idea you could KO them with level 5 death, I always used the gold needles they dropped or just KOed them lmao that could have saved me hours
I think Morty could have a future form of Flutter Mane, which should be ok, since as we all know, future forms are typically weaker than past forms, as seen with Great Tusk (very viable competetively) and Iron Treads (meh).
Hey Snowy! How are you doing? Please tell me! Last time you told you had an awful headache! I prayed for you! You're always too kind to me and I'm very thankful for that! I'm watching this challenge once again, I miss your challenges 😢! You're really a bro! I really sympathize with you! I really hope You are feeling better today! As always, Snowy, best regards! Thank you for your challenges! They really cheer me up! I hope we meet in a live once again, God willing you will be feeling much better! Btw I've watched again until 105 and it was an excellent stretch of the run! Now I'm gonna finish rewatching it! Take care!
Hey Snowy how are you bro? Sorry sorry, I couldn't be together today! I had many visitors here! I really wish I was there when you were streaming! I wish I am next time! Thank you for the video!
CORRECTION: Pikachu has 171 speed, not 182 speed. We were definitely fine for the Red fight! Also, the Lance game time split is wrong - that was the final game time. Seems I spoiled it a lil bit! The actual Lance split is 3:01.
My original strategy was ACTUALLY to use Headbutt + Attract, but I accidentally overwrote Headbutt instead of Ice Punch, and I didn't want to throw away a potentially good run. This strategy was pretty reliable. Sadly, my nerves were getting to me, as you could see with me accidentally giving 1 Rare Candy to Abra (luckily this was inconsequential!!!) Anyway, there are a few reasons why I avoided Curse! First off, Curse is slower, and it adds a lot of risk to the fight: all of the setup time that goes into Curse goes away if I reset. Second, Kangaskhan is too underleveled. You saw how much Psychic from Espeon did - we are so underleveled that everything on Red's team 3HKOs us. Curse will not help here. Third, Curse means we lose our speed advantage. Unlike with Attract+Flinch, we are guaranteed to take hits. Since Red's team primarily uses special attacks, Curse does not save us here. As such, I'd also be forced to run Rest and Sleep Talk. Rest-Talk is good, but it is random. Because I will need it to heal me every other turn due to the high damage I take, I will end up losing a lot of fights here due to not getting Rest exactly when I need it. Attract is a 50% chance on the first turn, and with Headbutt, it is a 64.8% chance on subsequent turns, and without Sleep Talk, I am guaranteed to attack and outspeed everything on every turn, and the risk of setting up Attract is much lower than the risk of setting up Curse. Since I was aiming for sub-hour, I figured I could afford one reset from Attract, but not from Curse. That said, I probably should've equipped Leftovers, because it would've given Kangaskhan a lot of sustain. And Rest (without Sleep Talk) would've made this even more reliable.
Personally I think Johto should have a ghost type that isn't weak to ground, maybe part flying type. If it was shaped like a Chinese lantern or balloon then it could be placed in Tin Tower since that's the same town as the ghost gym anyway.
This is a perfect example of an excellent pokemon being held back by the runner. Ice Punch into Arkanine? That's resisted and using Totodiles abysmal special. What a failure of a runner, smh furiously. Subbed to become a hate watcher.
Honestly I think it's still ridiculous that it has 21 more attack than special attack. Absolutely egregious for a water type before the physical/special split. I'm glad you were able to make use of the better attacking stat in close combat
No mention of the Cianwood drug racket preventing any medicine that doesn't cure Sleep, Paralysis, Freeze, Burn, Poison or Death from reaching mainland Johto, which is a pretty pressing issue for a video of this topic, but despite this noticeable drop in quality I still enjoyed the video.
Shhhh, they'll hear you!! In honesty, I rushed the heck out of this video to get it out today, and so the quality of both the editing and the voiceover took a pretty big drop. I'm definitely none too proud of this one.
Yes, in all games, Beat Up does damage based on base stats. That said, in newer games, it's the base power that is based off of base stats, where the main attacking stat is your current attack.
