This channel is all about understanding the value and design of technology. Technology plays a significant role in our world making it crucial that we understand its place in each of our lives. I Brady Pearson have made it a goal to help people better understand why tech is designed the way it is and how technology can be used to better everyone's lives including yours.
I did take a lot of time before having mine (silver) washed since I wear them on and off, and the white headband specially look nastily dirty (and I didn't even know the ear cups could be completely submerged and washed all the way). The sweat and any hair product will transfer to the parts. It was good to know that u can detach the headband (Apple doesn't even mention that) so I followed most of ur directions, but since the dirt wouldn't come out as easy I did use a soft brush and scrubbed the whole thing, like throughly and not delicately. I bought ear cups replacements (costly... like 75 bucks) and now I will have them returned... Thanks for the video.
I have an iPod touch 3 but I’m starting to face an issue. Whenever I charge the iPod battery it just flickers the apple logo and then goes back to the red charging screen, goes to apple logo then turns itself off, what should I do?
In 2020 I did the dumbest and stupidest thing ever. I updated my iPod touch 3rd generation from iOS 4.0 to 5.1.1 without saving SHSH blobs. I regret doing that
@@Revuletta It does, the headband is not symmetric. The weight of the headphones will be concentrated on one of the hard bands and you will dent your head
Can anybody confirm that this phone can have constant hinge and screen issues as far as the bigger folding screen? I wanted to get this phone but I’ve heard more negative things about it, than I have positive!!
6:58 “I just hate reading in general. “ I’m at a loss for words, I guess he’ll never read this anyway but he’s missing out on a lot of good reading. How does one actively ‘hate’ reading, sad.
The worst decision i made in my life, now i will try to sell it fast. I never used the outside display, the phone is tall and cramped, the camera is so bad, you dont even want to take pictures, outside when the phone has the sun on it when opened, the crease is so distracting you cant even use the phone.
Yeah, the first one was the Xerox Alto. Apple had an agreement with Xerox that allowed them to see what they were working on. Steve saw the GUI, got obsessed with it, and although the Apple Lisa wasn't the first PC with a GUI, it was the first _commercial_ one.
Had a Mac 128K (drank Steve Jobs koolaide). It had basically one competency - could run MacPaint and doodle. Well, there was a Pascal interpreter which I used to run Conway's Game of Life, and that was rather interesting to mess with. (I had a Commodore 64 with 64K at the time and so I thought a doubling of memory to 128K would be just fantastic...yeah, was very naive about the technical details of computers.) I took the plunge and used a photocopied guide that made the user group circles, bought 512K memory chips, desoldered the 128K chips, put in sockets, seated the 512K chips, soldered on a bodge wire, and voila - I had a 512K fat Mac. This was enough memory for the Mac to be useful. I got Lightspeed Think C, Macbugs asm monitor, the phone book sized reference on programming the Mac toolbox, and learned to program the Mac. Developing software on a Mac Plus via MPW C was ny first paying job on leaving university.
Pretty cool that you were able to get 512k in that thing and it actually worked. Sucks that the original mac relied more on theatrics and trying to kill the LISA more than actually making a computer that made sense and was useful. 32 bit computer with 128k? Really? Wasn't part of the CPU 16 bit too? So some address spaces couldn't take advantage of the extra bits? Forgive me for possibly getting my programming lingo wrong, I'm no programmer.
@@sgtcreasegrease The MC68K CPU had 32-bit registers but a 16-bit data bus, so is classified as a 16-bit CPU. (It has 24-bit address bus so could address up to 16MB.) The mid to late 80s Amiga and Atari ST that used the MC68K are referred to as 16-bit era computers. To me this is kind of a grey area though, as the IBM PC Intel 8088 had an 8-bit data bus yet because it had 16-bit registers it gets classified as the first significant 16-bit computer. (Could address 1 MB via 20-bit address bus.) In retrospect Steve Jobs always had a touch of being a P.T. Barnum over promoter. But in time the things he first over-sold would tend to pan out as things got improved or refined. (He was always wrong about a one button mouse - he could be weirdly ideological on such things instead of giving sway to some pragmatics.) The Apple Lisa just didn't have a way forward as was way too expensive per its intended market, and was not a technical workstation the way Sun Microsystems computers were that sold at $10K and above, yet could do CAD, etc. to justify that kind of price tag (at the time). Unfortunate that Apple's internal politics was what it was - what was effectively Jobs pitting his Mac project pretty much against the company Lisa project.
I got the second Mac 128k to arrive in New Orleans in 1984. Sales reps (me) were offered a Mac for half price from Apple. I got it, a second floppy disk drive, a carry bag, and an Apple DMP printer.
Surely I vote for MacWrite and MacPaint, grand daddies of all simiilar efforts. GEOS was similar effort on Commodore 64 and surely Windows NotePad / Word{ad and Paint are competiton. It would be good to have some later 030 Mac and MacOS 7 or even 8 to see how they developed!
I’m sorry to tell you, but they’re fake, but there’s nothing wrong with fake AirPods Max’s, if somebody bought them for you, like you mom, dad, or any family member, still appreciate what they bought for you
After using the fold 4 for a while and listening to your review, I cannot say I have experienced your bad luck. Have you figured out how to adjust your camera/keyboard and battery settings. And at anytime have you run your diagnostic as requested in your manual? Are you still experiencing those things you listed or did you trade in your fold 4? Good and bad, are there any updates?
Ah my first computer! I wasn’t even interested in computers until they could operate on a multi-media level! This computer lead to my own channel brother! BTW: Subberd!❤
The Lisa was not the first computer to use a mouse. The Xerox Alto had it way back in 1973, along with a GUI interface. Apple and Microsoft both borrowed the idea from Xerox.
Even before the Xerox Alto, there was Douglas Englebart's demo in 1968 where the demo shows off a device that is clearly a forerunner of the mouse. But there were developments going back to the 50s where mouse like devices were being devised in military research circles. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yJDv-zdhzMY.html
You also can expand the Samsung default keyboard either through the accessing your settings/keyboard/and adjusting the size and position or you could have accessed the keyboard size through your Samsung keyboard toolbar and tapping the keyboard icon and hit the resize symbol. It is a 5-second fix. You would have gotten a laugh out of it also.
1:08 interesting - the width is like 3mm wider than the iPhone 13 mini - the width is ~ 30mm smaller than the Tab S8 - I wish the internal screen was more sturdy - I'd be pissed if I bought one and my screen went to shit
I don't think any android phone can keep up with an iphone in my opinion. Reason why is because apple optimizes its ios compared to android that has to meet the needs for other manufactures that want to use the OS. I mean just watch other youtuber's battery test run comparison and you'll mostly see that the iphone lasts longer. My fold lasts longer than my 22 ultra
I think comparing Iphone with Galaxy Fold 4 is quite unfair. A phone with two screens, screens that can display 4 apps at a go, and still ends up at 20% before bed time? This phone is waaaaaay better than Iphone. This is a hybrid.
Well to this guy posting the video use Microsoft SwiftKey. It's huge compared to the stock one. I heard about screen cracks in the crease area. I had this phone for a few wks and when ppl started saying this I took it back.
