Review of the the Samsung Z-Fold 4 after using it for a week!

I challenged myself to use a Samsung for a week and was surprised with how it went. I have been an Apple user for years and stand by my iPhone. However, over the past week, I have come to love Samsung as well! As a tech reviewer, I want my content to be as non-bias as possible. Giving myself this challenge has opened my eyes to new perspectives on tech. I hope you enjoy the video!

The front screen is narrow and tall but I use the Microsoft SwiftKey as my keyboard of choice. It's so adaptive to fit for anyone to the style and size you desire.

I think the camera under the the screen is perfect for its intended design use. its not a "im a model" selfie camera, its main use is for teams and Zoom meetings. I dont know why everyone seems to hate this camera when there are literally the main camera and the back as well as the cam on the smaller screen camera to choose from.

The battery actually will last longer than the s22 ultra (even with the big screen). so i think its very good.

You didn't tell people that you have a monster sized hands and 8 foot tall. For a normal person, the front screen is absolutely fine. I have it in front of me and I can use it all day long.

i just got it for 2 weeks and i gotta say how impress i am with the facial and fingerprint unlock . its way too quick until there are times i dont even realise i was holding my phone unlocked and accidentally pressed some stuffs. the only cons i have is im pretty sure many will put on a thick case over it including myself since it cost a bomb. hence its very bulky when folded

The question i ask myself all the time about the Fold 4: So the front display ist slim and the keyboard is small, but werent the first 5 generations of the iphone as well as a lot of android smartphones in the beginning even smaller as well as their keyboards...🤨

i mean why would any one complain about front screen, its absolutley fully functional beautiful 120hrz, i type as fast with a little bit more mistakes but thats it.

After using the fold 4 for a while and listening to your review, I cannot say I have experienced your bad luck. Have you figured out how to adjust your camera/keyboard and battery settings. And at anytime have you run your diagnostic as requested in your manual? Are you still experiencing those things you listed or did you trade in your fold 4? Good and bad, are there any updates?

You missed my favorite feature...the ereading. I don't scroll FB anymore in a taxi, I read books because it's beautiful. Also 0 crashes and lag for me. Also you didn't talk aout the selfie mode using the front camera preview. This was a subpar review.

I swear as soon as Samsung increases the cover screen to match a standard size phone, whatever iteration of Fold that is, thats the one im committing to. It'll be expensive as hell, but honestly worth it. The cover size is the only thing stopping me from grabbing a Fold4

IDk how to feel about having the main screen be just as big as the normal flagships. I mean at that point might as well just stick with normal flagship phone. However I can see that the main screen can be for texting and for normal tasks and then unfold it for media use and productivity

I love the outside screen. I use it for checking texts, emails, appointments, and other notifications. Perfect for one handed use and excellent thumb to device ration. For browsing the web, gaming, youtube, movies, reading, and youtube tv, I use the mini tablet

I have the same opinion regarding front screen and keyboard. I found the Google keyboard set at extra tall helps a lot.

You also can expand the Samsung default keyboard either through the accessing your settings/keyboard/and adjusting the size and position or you could have accessed the keyboard size through your Samsung keyboard toolbar and tapping the keyboard icon and hit the resize symbol. It is a 5-second fix. You would have gotten a laugh out of it also.

I sold my z fold 3 because off the main screen is to narrow I always need to open it so I can use it . Secondly the battery 🪫 is drain very fast .

Thank you for the great clip. We both have a problem about the front screen. I went from a Note 10 to the extremely small front screen fold4. Samsung should do like Surface duo2 and just join 2 Notes together.

hopefully the s pen pro will work on the front screen that would help with texting they should of went wider hands down f it note 22 ultra wide wise. I know the standard pen does nothing on the front screen.

I've never experienced lag or force closes on my fold 4. Maybe it's just sheer bad luck on your end but I mainly just use the same few apps for consuming content so maybe the ram isn't being used much. Sorry to hear about your experience.

It’s always happens. It’s just you’re gotten use to it so you likely don’t notice it. The dude in the video uses an iPhone it seems as he’s recording with it. Meaning he’s use to very optimized smooth performance. It’s like from 120hz to 60hz. You’ll notice the jittery of Samsung android. But if that’s all you are use to then you won’t notice it much

Can anybody confirm that this phone can have constant hinge and screen issues as far as the bigger folding screen? I wanted to get this phone but I’ve heard more negative things about it, than I have positive!!

Yea it definitely takes time to get used to the small keyboard. I came from the wooly mammoth galaxy s22 ultra to this phone. The only word I start to struggle with is with "you" I always type yoy

@@xSouIess ya I've tried all the keyboards including the stock 1 and in my opinion SwiftKey is my go to keyboard. I like that I can make the keyboard gigantic and choose so many keyboard themes. The autocorrect is pretty decent too unlike the stock 1 and gboard. It's personal preference though.

To be honest the front screen is wider than most smartphones except the Note series from up to just a few years ago and nobody had any trouble typing on them. Also swipe typing works wonders even on the samsung keyboard

@@designbehindtech I used notes exclusively since Samsung Note3 when everyone was laughing at me for using a phablet. It takes some time to get used to the small screen, but 2 weeks later I find it really usable for most tasks while saving the big screen for reading, work and games.

1:08 interesting - the width is like 3mm wider than the iPhone 13 mini - the width is ~ 30mm smaller than the Tab S8 - I wish the internal screen was more sturdy - I'd be pissed if I bought one and my screen went to shit

once you get use to it it is kick ass. front could be wider they should of just did it s22 ultra wide wise stacked . the case needs a hinge protector period it's a must . why Samsung sells a case with no hinge protector is laughable. id agree front display needs to be wider . mans hands are big I struggled on my note 20 ultra.

I kindoff like your review but one point i want to mention is that you said it's camera quality is not good but for your kind information it is a phone made by samsung to manage their bussinesses or other things...not for camera quality...if you want camera quality then buy samsung galaxy s22 ultra it has a 100x zoom feature and also ..I can say it's camera quality is better than iphone 😇😇for more information about s22 ultra you can see viedeos of mr who's the boss... comparission between iphone 13 pro max and s22 ultra... The native camera app in the z fold is actually extremely good in my opinion. I was more commenting on the fact that third party apps such as Snapchat are not optimized for android base systems like they are on iPhone. I appreciate your feedback though and I’ll definitely check out that video!

I find your comment rather derogatory tbh, however irrespective of your opinion, considering you paying £1650-00 for the Z Fold4 I think the camera quality is really a let down & I think it should come with nothing less than the best camera Samsung has to offer. I speak from first hand experience as I own both the Samsung Z Fold4 & iPhone 13 Pro Max & for the record I don't think ANY Android phone including the oversaturated S22 Ultra comes close to the picture quality of the mighty iPhone. Specs on paper are simply just that. You cant beat experience. Hope you understand.

The worst decision i made in my life, now i will try to sell it fast. I never used the outside display, the phone is tall and cramped, the camera is so bad, you dont even want to take pictures, outside when the phone has the sun on it when opened, the crease is so distracting you cant even use the phone.

I don't think any android phone can keep up with an iphone in my opinion. Reason why is because apple optimizes its ios compared to android that has to meet the needs for other manufactures that want to use the OS. I mean just watch other youtuber's battery test run comparison and you'll mostly see that the iphone lasts longer. My fold lasts longer than my 22 ultra
