Company of heroes 2 was so good that i forgot about coh1 which was gold by itself. Yes, the story mode received a lot of rightful criticisms from russian players due to the unfair portrayal of Soviet Union in ww2. But the theater of war missions were so challenging and fun that i kept playing them. Not to mention the extremely solid multiplayer mode which was extremely fun and epic. I like the expansions too.
O boy !! Sudden strike 4 is 1000× funnier!! And i still loving play it !! ( Men of war 2 havent try it no w so i dont know how the game is) Tripple A industry fucking sucks !! So sad!!😢
At this patch level, IT'S STILL A BAD GAME in my personal opinion. Pretty unbalanced, too. And missing of so many useful features found in COH1 & COH2. I really hope they would choose to fix this game, not leaving it in such a crappy state. DOW3 still teaching how NOT to do.
Sad to see that the apparant development and inclusion of the singplayer strategy map detracted so much from the actual gameplay development, someone dropped the ball big time
I'm going to be real i have more time in coh3 than coh2 and i generally know why people prefer 2 but i cannot with a straight face say 2 is gods gift to mankind and the 2nd coming of Christ like everyone makes it out to be, i will admit light vehicles with only mgs like halftracks are actually usefuland a genuine threat in coh2 but there's just things wrong with it, maxims, literally dogshit at their only use case, infantry squads just evaporate even in good cover if you look in their direction, engineers need to spend munitions every time they want to shoot the flamethrower that you had to pay munitions for also thegame just feels sticky, like there's a long delay on everything.
In order for this game to be good in my opinion it needs to be 10 years of progress better then CoH2, as it stands I do not understand why anyone would play CoH3 when CoH2 or even CoH1 still exists.
Save your money and more importantly save your time, stay far away from this release. The game is full of bugs and pathing issues that have been around since CoH2 and likely will never be solved. The balance in MP (1v1 and 2v2) is as usual screwed up just like it was in CoH2, especially after the community balance team became involved with CoH2 which just made the game extremely boring and overly meta-driven. Basically if you try to do something interesting and off-meta you will be punished and will likely lose the match which leads to incredibly boring and repetitive game play, same as CoH2 was. A lot of the balance changes implemented by the "balance team" made it's way over to CoH3 and is as stale as it was in CoH2. In fact a lot of the units behave the same as they did with CoH2 but just look different. That's generally what happens when amateur mod makers are allowed to make official changes and patches to a game in order to suit their own vision and playstyle. The game was released only a few months ago and already the player base is lower than CoH2 is currently, so essentially the numbers speak for themselves (check Steam Charts for player base). The game is hot garbage and generally feels like it should be called CoH2.1. The only difference being that it's set in the Mediterranean theatre but really doesn't feel unique to it. The map pool is also small and full of bad maps just like CoH2 was. It is definitely not worth $80 Canadian, maybe $10 would be the most I'd pay Relic and their attempts at a quick cash grab. Do yourself a favor and invest your time to a game actually worth your time, forget Relic because it's quite clear that they don't take their titles seriously enough to make them interesting. They just want your money. $80 is a joke and slap in the face for half-assed game that's half completed and likely will never be. Relic must think very lowly of RTS fans to release this pile of dog crap to the public and call it "new".
