Man, that sucks it got a flat and fell over. Is the fairing the only place that got scratched? My bike fell over when I was trying to put it on the rear stand. My Woodcraft Sliders saved the fairings and GYTR case guards saved the engine case. The bar end got scratched but the Graves bar end was a nice replacement. Right Rear View Mirror hit the ground and the Front Shield Stay Cracked. I may replace with a carbon fiber one or Moto Holders with Carbon Fiber Intake Tube.
Man, that sucks yours fell over as well like that. That fairing was the only piece that got jacked up luckily. Bar end and exhaust can saved the bike tbh. A small scratch on an exhaust rivot but not even noticeable. No damage to the mirror or cases on the engine as well. I got lucky.
Depends on how you ride, tbh. I don't drag knees through corners. In fact, I am about to order my extended swingarm here in the next few weeks. Here is a vid I did while riding after lowering. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M868g8B_xp0.html I will tell you this...a 2 inch drop will require an extended swingarm, or the lower part of the shock will be banging on the swingarm all the time.
did the exhaust come with bolts in the 02 sensor holes? if so, take the bolts and find a nut they fit on...then, take that nut and see if it fits on to the 02 sensor(s)...if it does, then the size is right... If all of that does not work, contact the seller, file a return claim, and get a replacement...I know that sux af...I didn't have that issue of course, or I would have a definite answer...this is what I would do tho...
@@mxracer5986 I have not, no. I feel that the seating of the top part of the air box did a good job closing out all the exterior elements when I bolted everything down.
2 months now, no issues. I think the fact that the box needed to be tightened pretty good up front might have created a good seal imo, or at least I hope so.
The guy who tuned the bike turned it off while dynoing I believe. It was TCS, traction control system. I am under the impression that with it off, the power delivery is unregulated by any of the electronics, giving full power to the wheel. Max power, now wngine management regulation.
I’ve been looking at parts to get rid of the ugly stock plate holder and tail light mount any recommendations for that would be greatly appreciated thanks
I took the seat off and pulled the battery out. I found a spot where I thought the plate would still be visible and drilled 2 holes. I drilled holes in the license plate and attached it to the bike using black plastic bolts and nuts. Ran my light to the plate as well. If you do the same, just make sure you are drilling through the plastic undertail only and not any metal parts that are hidden. I did have the TST industries mount that tucks the plate in the general location I have it now, but it was not DOT approved, and the tire hid it. Got lit up by 12 for it, so I did the described mod afterward.
@@CrossplaneNation, nice, I got my tune through Bauce Racing. I ordered a stainless midpipe and am using the stock muffler. About as basic as I can get but I’m happy with it. Next will be the Graves Block off plate delete and full exhaust. I’ve been putting those projects aside because it’s so much work. Lol. And my garage is so freakin hot right now.
I can't get over how much faster that R1 is now. It's definitely a lot angrier now. I'm really impressed by how much power you got out of that bike for the price.
to see real power of a randomly 2 bikes, you must do runs based on gear ratios , not by gears alone. One bike can do 300 in 4th ,and another can do 150 in 4th , you cant run in 4th gear and judge by that. Do equal ratios ( similar top speeds) runs ,or set a starting speed point, where each bike can stay on ideal gear. Thats the real power and acceleration capabilities tests.
You had to go through quite a bit to get those suckers installed. But the video spelled it out about as simply as a video can. Well done. Can't wait to see the numbers from the Dyno.
maaaaaaan, it took me forever. Not to mention I was in the garage, 100 degree heat index, and no wind...imagine that...Might be a couple weeks before the tune...
I just read my 500 page official owners manual, they said I have to disconnect tons of wires and hoses to do this. Looks like you skipped that step with styrofoam, THANK YOU SIR!
