"Now put that thing away, and help me clean up the mess that you created!" Really hope his insanity is in some way tied to the fact that she accidentally killed her brother, and he blames her for everything that has happened
13:29 Nah you got to let him cook. Everything he’s doing he’s doing on the fly, adapting as he goes against a system that was rigged against him from the start.
In the 60's and thru much of the 70's, the teachers often had a big paddle on their desk as a reminder' to stay in line. As a kid it was worse (almost) to get paddled because it was done right at the teachers desk in front of everyone.
loving the fallout reactions! you guys should watch amc’s interview with the vampire when you get the chance. the acting, story, setting everything is just phenomenal!
The ring 2 is fine, not outstanding but good...ringu would be worth a watch for comparison, even if you just do it on your own's, it's got a few explanations, there's an element of psychic ability in the male lead which opens some scares and a little clarity, but theres a bit more left open too, little details are fleshed out, but other holes are punched so its just a slight variation in mystery. Tone is the big thing, i find the tone of the original more unsettling, the video itself is much more unpleasant to sit through with different images and all. Both are great, im no purist declaring the original superior in every way, but I'd mark it as an equal in its own right, they bith have a great deal to offer
The spirit is implied in the book to be Wendigo, kind of a pennywise-like spirit, they don't mention it in the movie but the book has little bits and bobs of the entity...the main issue that the film has is in conveying the feeling...like when jud leads him to bury the cat its implied that its kind of a pull he can't really resist because he'd come into contact with it before, and each time Louis buried something there, theres an almost addictive quality to the experience, once it gets its tendrils into him with Church its a simple matter to make the next logical leap with gage, and then when his wife had died and he'd already effectively gone insane he just couldn't help himself but to try with her...each time a person died it's almost akin to holding a big bag of heroin in front of a recovering junkie. It also sort of influenced the town, drivers would just drive faster on that stretch of road without really noticing or understanding why. But yeah, its not spelled out perfectly but the being has shown up in other stories by King in his universe and it's the Wendigo spirit...
Its an apocalypse but always say no to cannibalism. 🤮 Once someone justifies it their humanity is gone. If you disagree you are scary/sick.😅 I hope the Ghoul can redeem himself/remember the good man he was.
"So, The Ring Two..." Honestly, I wouldn't bother. It's got one or two individual moments that have a little oomph to them, but on the whole, Part 2 is pretty inferior to the original.
Of all the horror movies I've seen to date - I'm 48 and have seen quite a few - there are only two that have made me feel genuine, honest-to-goodness fear while I was watching them. This movie is one of them. It's one of my absolute favorites.
I think, if he'd revealed *before* branding him, he'd have had a better chance. But that I think turned the pain from pride to shame in an instant, cause it wasn't a knight, now it was just a squire, and the guy they'd been picking on.
i've heard from big fallout fans (like BIG ones) that the lady in the bridge scene with Lucy and Max is a recognizable character from Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas, i think. they said she at least looks extremely similar to that character. just another easter egg for the fans that isn't necessary for newcomers to know. i respect stuff like that from the filmmakers of this show.
