My main mission is to EMPOWER people to gain access to free educational tools and insights when it comes to the tech industry. There’s a lot of information out there - from starting out in the industry as a newbie, gaining valuable interviewing skills to land the job, actually working as an IT professional, to just keeping up to date/learning more about the latest trends - I’d like to better organize these resources! 💻
I’ve been a software engineer for over 5 years! I currently work at Microsoft and have worked at Target in the past. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science .. although I like to add that I’ve learned much of what I know today from the experiences on the job, as well as through the internet 😉
Enjoy, and Cheers 🥂

I have been living in South Florida for 30 years and am currently studying computer science to become a control system engineer. With four years of experience in the field and an associate's degree in engineering technology, I am finding it challenging to secure a job in South Florida. I aim to leverage my electrical background to pursue a higher-paying remote job in another state while continuing to live in Florida.
Just a suggestion as a noob. People should start with VBA if they already have excel. Even if you decide not to become a professional coder excel can make most jobs easier. I like learning the theory to a certain point. Makes me a lot better but most don't like explaining the theory.
people in canada think that renting a basement and living paycheck to paycheck is middle class life style lol . Canada been a third world shit hole for quiet sometime and canadians just refuse to admit the sad reality . most canadians cant afford buying a house , im not over exagerating , you must be rich to be able to own a house in canada , meaning that there is no middle class anymore , there is a tiny percent of rich families that run the country and the rest are in survival mode , the poor are homeless . this is how society is in third world countries where the middle class is non existant .
Someone has to pay all the wars and the gazillion of dollars the USA puts in his army, start wars and troubles in other countries. The USA has money for everything, except the own population and the own infrastructure….
That's why return-to-office is so awful. I live over 100 miles from a major city and rent my apartment. My wife and I live on about $3K per month. The median sale price of a home in Lawton, Oklahoma is $165K. A small house is even cheaper.
@@PoojaDutt I'm a Data Engineer that delivers pizza for a living. Delivering pizza in a small town is better than return to office in a big city. I can afford to live here delivering pizza near a military base.
I think my dreams of being employed as a software engineer in crushed and probably will never come true. I will do dev woek on ghe job but its not my job. I do it to help some department's where i work
Yes, it's still worth it if you side hustle and build useful products for the mainstream businesses and not rely on big fat paychecks from those overly invested startups.
so finish every project... yes good point but projects can (and for sure they will) grow... something I add is to learn to define the scope or boundaries for the project, to know when is actually finished
If something can make you theoretically better, it can't make you worse 'untheoretically'. And according to which theory and what part of the theory: formulas, laws, or the force as in the THEORY of gravitation ?
You are working for Microsoft and you own apple laptop? :D How does that work for you? (I am a sucker for apple, but I am afraid to get away from Windows!)
Being consistent is really tough, especially when you're prepping for interviews. It's not just about putting hours in normal leetcode practice- you gotta dive into contests headfirst! Yeah, it's tough at the start, but trust me, it gets smoother. I use the CodingDude Chrome extension for tracking contests on various sites.
My laptop is not working..I can't practice coding anymore hmm...no money to buy even the i3 laptop. I'm so stressed and pressured cause I'm a graduating student.
