🇦🇺 Aussie. Excellent tutorial thanks. It’s resolved creeping in my Impact. One note, the brass side of mine was domed (convex) which means the seal face is focused on the central portal. I’ve purchased, used and the 3M material as recommended too. What was an unusable Impact when I was given it is now tuned thanks to your leak and seal videos. Thanks champ.

I have no experience in nitrogen, I have a dive compressor and are available from $500 - $6000 large selection to choose from, I haven’t seen a nitrogen pump/compressor. Not convenience to buy a large flash tank and nitrogen scuba tank. I guess we like to make our own compress air.

@@ernestrowe5061 I am not an advertiser I am a customer, fx thin barrel and color is garbage power but super. when will you switch to thick barrel? for example daystate uses huma reg and thick barrel art, cz barrel is vulcan 3 super but reg is not huma but super
@@kricketkricket6737thats great, but i love FX barrel, when the 1st impact came out I started improving the the gun that what it is today, even i don’t work for FX anymore i continue to improve the platform. I stated with Daystate and all Russian gun years ago and abandon them and yes i used to fix lots of HUMA regs. so don’t convince me to switch back and thats not going to happen.
@@ernestrowe5061 I'm not telling you to go back, I'm just saying don't let the fx get damaged while it's selling well. There's power, just renew the reg and barrel. You know it yourself, the huma reg is high quality, the barrel is thin, there are many bending problems, the barrel should be thick.
I agree about the barrel- i gave my suggestion of 16 mm OD barrel with a bore friction fit liner- no go, so i offered a 40mm OD 5lbs 700mm dull barrel weight that is tensioned by the silencer- so its stiffer than any art barrel

Ernest, do you know of a place that sells a variety of hammer springs for the Impact (M4) and/or have specs on what the stock one is? I’d like to play around with them some. I can find “performance” springs here and there but there’s no way of knowing what they are.
I used to have custom hammer spring made years ago, the company was in NY but need to look contact info. Its best to get a 56mm long and cut one coil and ground / polish. So u can have six different size for testing. Maybe I need to make a video in how too🤔
No, they still outshoot most PCP as is, in FX mft they don’t mic each belleville washers and test each one like i do. I don’t know how knowledgeable are you in large manufacturing process that said You may ask yourself why buy a Ferrari then customize the engine To get more horsepower 🤔 in PCP the accuracy is the main goal. Don’t be like me, if i can modify or make it better- i won’t buy it. So if you buy a $2000 PCP, you don’t have to customize it just shoot if that what u enjoy
Collection of old and new Belleville that I collected over the years, washer in different sizes / in-line changes, the .55 washers are R&D washers from Lee Springs. Haven’t measured the M4 Billville washers when I get to EBR I’m gonna change out the M4 stacks and compare the gun is already there so it’s not in my possession. M4 are: ((())())()), 48,48,48,48, 48,48,48,48,42,42,42
Mcmaster Carr has them, on some OEM belleville kit there are some 48-50’s I think there are some tolerance issue and thickness so it’s best to get a batch and measure all of them and get consistent with the size
I recently updated my Crown mk 2 reg piston, I noticed after fitting a digital gauge that refresh time was over half a minute, now it's around 5 seconds, I would never have known if hadn't changed the gauge.
Yup, refresh rate of the gauge is 1/2 of the total refresh accuracy factor also. You could have a gauge that refresh too fast, not measuring the true refresh rate.
Its really depends on accuracy of your rag gauge used i recommend a digital gauge analog are slow to respond, Pressure in the Plenum fluctuates this short amount of time shot to shot. As long as you’re consistent between shot the pressure in the plenum will be consistent. Sure if i wait another minute pressure may stabilized 1 bar higher or lower or maybe not.
