This channel is dedicated to cruising the scenic landscapes and hidden gems of the Beaver State, both natural and man-made. From breathtaking mountain ranges and lush forests to quirky towns and historical landmarks, I'll be taking you on epic rides and daily commutes that showcase the true beauty and diversity of Oregon.
I encourage everyone to visit Oregon and, if you ride, bring your motorcycle or rent one when you are out here. Oregon's roads and scenic views are beyond compare. Even when riding around an urban area like Portland, you are going to round a corner and be momentarily in awe at the view in front of you.
In my videos I keep my talking to a minimum. I want you to be able to experience the ride as if you were sitting in the saddle.
I hope you enjoy my channel. Subscribe to @pdxt120 and hit that notification bell so you never miss out on the ride!
@@tiffinhappy9744 my GoPro did not record audio for this ride and three other rides that I have posted and will be public over the next weeks. I have sorted out the problem with the GoPro so bike audio will be back. I still wanted to share the rides that I captured without audio. Adding a music track was the only option.
@@pdxt120 nope. I currently have a pair of royal enfield bags and planning to have some custom saddle rails for my ktm duke 390 to mount on. So looking around for considerations on rail length, diameter and dimensions so that in the future I can swop those, rhinowalk or motowolf ones when the bags break down in the tropical climate I'm in. Looking for average quick release solutions. Good to hear the bags are doing you good! Ride safe brother.
Those polls have buttons to turn on the led yellow lights. People need to use them because the pedestrians may have been obscured from view by the other cars. The truck driver was not paying close attention either
It’s so funny so see a bunch of non-Oregonians in the comments joking about the short train when me and other railfans in the area see it all the time and think it’s normal
From a riders point of view: not sure what the speed limit was, but the left lane was open , going that pace -cars are going to pull in front of you. Why not get over in the first place when you see someone is merging?
Cool seeing you zip through my neighborhood by the trestle. Started riding and commuting just 4 months ago on my T120 Black. Always looking for folks to venture out around Oregon with.
Would love to get together for a ride some time. You can find my email by going to my channel description and looking for the reveal email button. Or, if you are on Instagram you can follow me @pdxt120 and message me there.
This is the parking lot to the school where I work and leaving it is one of the most dangerous parts of my ride home. There is a dumpster that blocks your view to the right as you are exiting the parking lot and there are lots of parked vans outside of Outside In that block your view of the nearest lane of traffic. But normally on the sidewalk you only have to watch out for meandering pedestrians. In front of Outside In is usually packed with people who are just hanging out. But they walk slowly and usually pulling out onto the sidewalk is not difficult, it is the next step of getting from the sidewalk onto the road that can be tricky. To make it onto the road safely you have to pull far out onto the sidewalk, usually blocking the pedestrians, in order to see around the parked vehicles. Because in front of Outside In is usually packed with people hanging out, you never see people on motorized scooters, there is not enough room to navigate. This was a total surprise. I had looked to the right, as one always does as I pulled past the dumpster but could not see this guy until the very last minute.
It is for a number of years the worst section of road on my entire commute. There is one other section, actually on my ride home, on the one way street just a little west of here that is also really bad. Someone has spray painted lines and symbols on this road so I am hopeful that it is about to be repaired
And you couldn't be the bigger person and let them over? They used blinkers.. waited a decent amount of time.. and yet here we are.. you're still unhappy. But we all gotta WaTcH oUt FoR bIkErS 🥴🥴
Kind of stupid having that attitude on a Cycle. How long was that car trying to change lanes? How many times did you speed up to block the car? No doubt, you will be road rash with that attitude.
Criticizing the other driver but probably doesn't know what infraction he committed. When you turn onto a two lane road, what lane are you supposed to turn into first?
What video did you watch? I saw him let the same guy in twice, without trying to block him. When did he pointlessly not allow another driver to enter his land, as you put it?
Hey Mang.....I have been riding for 57 years...Have had two crashes...Please ! Just let them go !! The driver of the car MIGHT be elderly,..A mother, not unlike your own,...OR a BRAND NEW driver, NOT UNLIKE one of your children.....Just let them go! .
a few things. I posted this video 2 years ago when gas was more than $5 a gallon and Portland was just emerging from COVID. Because my channel is dedicated to motorcycle riding in Oregon it seemed relevant to talk about the recent changes on the road. During COVID I commuted into work every day. I work IT at a school and we were very busy trying to keep all the teachers teaching and the students learning in distance teaching mode. During these commutes the roads in Portland were empty. And during the early parts of COVID gas prices crashed because nobody was driving. In this video I am discussing how things have changed as we emerge from COVID. Gas prices where high, the roads were crowded once again, and just to imagine that it had been about two years since school buses were on the road. I am sorry that you did not like the video, but this was a strange time for all of us and it still feels OK to leave the video up discussing these things.
I learned to ride on this very road in 1988 on a Yamaha LTD 440 after a Sunset High School party. I much prefer my Thruxton 900 now! I bet I’ll see you out there on the roads this summer!
Dangerous if one of the two parties isnt paying close attention. Very alright is both people are paying attention. Been 23 years. My first ride I was 2yo on my father gas tank.
I am 55 years old, I live in the city of Belo Horizonte-MG in Brazil. I bought a BONEVILLE T120 23/23 and every day I love riding this motorcycle more and more! I invite you to visit my RU-vid channel “Pequi com Bacalhau” where I have videos of my trips
Like with any bike it took a moment to get used to. If you are in 1st and you completely take your hand off the throttle and just allow the idling engine to move the bike it can be a little twitchy. But if you just keep a small amount of throttle on it moves very smoothly at slow speeds. And the weight distribution on the bike is phenomenal so I do not find slow speeds to be a problem.
