1:39 this video is fantastic thanks! One thing to clarify: at this point of the procedure you need to insert a flathead screwdriver on the top side of the tank, where the tank’s mounting clip attaches to the frame, in order to release the locking tab that holds the expansion tank into its mount. It would be good to have video showing this part. it’s not entirely clear from the video but I eventually figured it out. Great video though!
Hey bro. Thank you for the video and the disassembly and repair instructions. I drive a BMW X4 and have exactly the same problem as shown in your video. I asked the BMW workshop if they could re-glue it. They rejected that and instead tried to sell me a completely new glove compartment for a whopping 435 Swiss francs. So now I'm repairing it myself thanks to your instructions. Thank you!!
Good channel :) I just removed the redundant mobile phone holder in my dad's F25 X3 that you see in this video. I used this vid as a guide ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QUy0cYQTY_0.htmlsi=u1_9Wa8sPwoLQ5rt
Hallo Freund! Ich hatte den gleichen Fehler. Sie müssen jemanden finden, der sich mit ISTA auskennt, es muss codiert sein. Aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es funktionsfähig und stört nicht, zumindest war es bei mir so.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have the problem that the new one won't go in, it stuck on the first ring try to push in but won't move. Do you have any suggestion. Thanks
Something gone wrong. Did you move the steering wheel while the bushing was out?? You may not do that. If you put the old piece back, it will go in ? Thx
How has this repair held up to the test of time and would you do anything different if you were to attemp it again? Also awesome tutorial and thank you for taking the time to record and post this!
So i replaced the thrust piece, however had to use a torque wrench to tighten it to 70nm torque spec. But also had to loosenit a few time to get the right feel. I still have the knocking clunk, most if the time its coming from passenger side front wheel. I think it could be control arms, but im not sure. It seems like a common issue as per some blogs Ive read.
Hi this button DOES exist on Aliexpress, for those looking for it. Most of the buttons you will see on Amazon will not fit the horizontal style of mounting as shown in this video. The key is to look for a replacement button with the square mounting holes on the top left and bottom right hand side of the button. In other words, the holes should be at the 11:00 and 5:00 positions on the button to fit this horizontal mounting orientation. Hope this helps.
And thats a job well done! Mine peels from the other side. Already ordered some epoxy and clamps to do this on the weekend. Next week the car gets traded in for a Model Y
