Use some plastic tools for not damaging the surfaces. In the video as you guys can see, the button that I ordered is not the one we need to finish this job. I uploaded this video for those who don't know how to change the button or what button to choose. Coming soon....

I found my start button on Amazon for $14. I noticed the button I needed was an F-chassis without off. At least that’s what mine was called for a 2011 X3 f25

There is a replacement button for under 5 USD now on chinese sites in multiple colors. Can be changed just with sticky clay and pull.

Tried that. Not working... ended with replacement of the whole module...

Hi this button DOES exist on Aliexpress, for those looking for it. Most of the buttons you will see on Amazon will not fit the horizontal style of mounting as shown in this video. The key is to look for a replacement button with the square mounting holes on the top left and bottom right hand side of the button. In other words, the holes should be at the 11:00 and 5:00 positions on the button to fit this horizontal mounting orientation. Hope this helps.

Did you get the right button to finish the job.i have the same problem and can't find which button to fit or how to do it.will you post the next video to show this please.

Hi. Unfortunately BMW does not have a spare part for the button. They replace the whole module. I didn't find the right button, even on ali Express.... . The solution is to buy a new module start stop on Ebay. Is cheaper and faster. U cand find new parts even on 25$. Good luck!

*goes to dealership; gets part number and part; schedules appt..... swap and done. They break it they replace it.... you break it or order the wrong part then what.

Hi. BMW does not replace the plastic button, they replace whole button unit! But the price is over 170$. I bought a new module start stop from Ebay! Best regards S.
