great info! but it is boillie, not ballie **BOIL** lol my Husband and I thought it'd be funny if someone made a drinking game out of this video. drink every time you say BALLIE not boillie! lol
Yes, the math on when to repair will always be up to date because it's just regular math that I used with the numbers the devs provided on the equipment. There's no trick to it, it's just regular math. The percentages on the mech weight is specifically what the math was for to keep the mech weight above the lines weight, so the reels' mech wont break instead of the line. However the other percentages of when to repair, like the line guides and friction brakes, are really up to the player and don't need math to figure out. If I were to go back and change any info on the video I'd say I'd suggest not repairing the line guides of the poles till about 50%. It's fine at around 15% - 30% for cheaper rods but later on when you've got super expensive rods it can be costly. on top of that people are starting to realize that line guides don't do hardly any damage whatsoever to the line.
Yeah Bear can be a little frustrating like that. I believe it was supposed to be a crossing point between Old Burg and carping with wet bread and potatoes and starting to use the more advanced Boilies. So sometimes it becomes really active and you can use Boilies and catch more Leather and Mirror carp, and others it drops off and you're forced to use potatoes and wet break for simple Common Carp. Then other times it just falls flat with no hot spots. So I always skip it completely when leveling an account.
I fly fish also and I can tell you rn you should not be tieing a piece of line to the tip of your tippet when you lose the tip of the tippet bc first of all your making a weak point and second of all you can use a 12 foot tippet that was been broken and cut down to 10 feet itll just be stronger than it was at the start and when the tippet gets down to the point were ya cant fit the line thro your flies eye you change it out
Yeah none of that is true. The line that is attached to the end of your fly line is the leader, it starts thick then tappers off to be really thin so the fish can't see it. Tippet is a thin line that is specifically made to be tied to the end if your leader to replace the thin line that you've cut multiple flies off of and so you don't have to replace the leader. By not adding on tippet your cutting back to thicker parts of the line where the fish can start to see it and will stop biting as much. There are leaders that are different lengths that are made specifically for different fly fishing scenarios. 5 foot for tight spots with lots of bushes and trees, 12 foot for long distance casting, 7 foot for in between scenarios. If you're not using the right length of leader for the specific scenario your fishing in then you're not fly fishing correctly. Buying a much longer leader just so you don't have to tie tippet on the end isn't the way to properly prepare for the spot you're going to be fishing in. Tippet is literally created to be tied to the end of your leader or to the end of other tippets. As long as you use a proper knot, like a surgeons knot, and you spit on or soak the knot while you tighten it then the liquid negates the friction that tightening it causes and doesn't weaken the line. Multiple tippet lines can be tied to other tippet lines and it doesn't make a difference if done correctly.
Here's another one that may elaborate a little more as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kp5xMD-8EpA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6d7diVjOACs.html
Was very helpful! I did have one question -- and I'm sure if I did a little investigating in the game I may be able to find it... but! Where are you getting the information regarding the mechanical weight of the reels? I'll check out your rod/reel setup video and maybe that will give some info as well! Take care!
As far as I know you can't switch hands. However if you really want to, a spin reel forces you to hold the rod in your right hand while reeling with your left. A casting reel forces you to hold the rod in your left while reeling with your right.
Hello! Nice vid! I was wondering, how to look up the power of the mechanics in kg. I want to find out on my own for my reel. (Upgraded Lagoon 3000s, 6.5kg max drag) Can you help by any chance?
Idk i gotta cheap black spinner used it on Kaori and it sucked i go a bigger higher rated hook and i have lost one yet on the lure but wid stock hooks lost 4 fish in a row
Cheap lures have cheap low grade hooks you'll get a lot of "fish got off" messages. Replace the hooks with higher quality hooks and it helps get less "fish got off" messages but you'll still get them every now and then. Depending on what stock hook the lure or spinner comes with it will always affect the "fish got off" message rate. If you're lure comes with great high quality hooks as stock, which most of the high star rated lures do, you'll see much less "fish got off" messages. However, you'll always get some.
For the most part yes. There is a little bit of a debate on if the line guide wear on a rod wears the line down faster, they may have changed that in new updates, but in the past the moderators said it does. Personally I don't repair my Ocean Queen till about 60% line guide wear. It's a little expensive and I've found that you don't see an increase in line wear going that high. As for the beluga c30 it depends on how you use the reel. If you fish for smaller fish or allow the fish to run and wear itself out then you can go upwards of 50% wear on the mech. However, if you're someone like me who likes to full lock or tentative lock the reel then having your mech weight as high as possible is huge and I would repair at around 15% - 20% wear. Just remember if you're using a casting reel, your bearing wear affects your casting distance. So if you're on Norway just dropping your line you can go 60%+ wear, but if you're spinning and casting you're going to want to repair at around 30%. As far as friction brake, again that depends on how you fish. Small fish 30%+ wear. Big fish 15% wear. Big fish short line 5% - 10% wear. The more wear the harder it is to get a fish to wear out and come in.
this is odd, because I never get it to say jig step with wobblers anymore, I used to, I still get bites like jigstep though. I suppose I am getting ghost jig step with wobblers, this video is 2 years old so I don't know if it still works like this
Wobbles don't jig step and never have. In fact the only two things that wobblers don't do are jig step and walk the dog. Jig step works by the lure touching and sitting on the ground for a certain amount of time and then leaving the ground. When you reel the wobbler sinks and may hit the ground, but still moves. When you stop reeling the wobbler floats. This makes it impossible for the jig step to work on wobblers. But yes the ghost jig step works on everything because technically the lure moving at all makes fish spawn and bite. However fishing techniques actually only increase the bite rate.
@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 yeah I know this is bs because I saw it with my own two eyes, did it with my own two hands, but I suppose it must have been a glitch, jigstep with wobblers was my favorite way to do it and I still do it with the technique because I don't get bites if I do a straight retrieve. I am happy to hear what techniques you recommend for wobblers though
@@samuelhugo3387 Sorry man but I've been playing since the game launched and the wobblers have never been able to jig step. When you stop reeling with them they float, so jig step was impossible. In fact here is a post on the RF4 forums made by Levy, who was a moderator on the game, where half way down the page he showed the techniques you could do with different rig setups in a table. This post is back in 2019 and as you can see, you couldn't do jig steps with wobblers back then either. Only thing I can think of is you're confusing spoons with wobblers in your memory. As far as wobblers if you're trolling you don't really need to do anything, but if you must speed up is easiest. If you're sitting in a boat or on the bank all the techniques work the best, but stop and go are my favorite. @@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 well I jigsteped with something other than a spoons maybe I am confusing the wobblers for soft bodys idk, anyways thanks for info but stop and go I also can't get to work with wobblers
hi Midnight, im a big fan of yours, but just have to tell you, a sbirolino its not a float, its a translucid weight you put it a few couple of meters 1 or 2 before the bait, usually a spinner bait...its used just to cast longer....sorry about my english
You don't have a choice, you have to use a fluoro leader that is smaller than 7kg or the browns won't bite. You were unlucky. It's very rare that pike are big enough here to cut a fluoro leader. I've always used a 3kg fluoro leader fishing here for years and never had a pike bite through it.
Not true. That's why I put 3 different types of builds in the video. Expensive, upgraded but affordable, and newbie cheap. The newbie cheap build is almost free. You get the rod and reel completely free from starting the game. All you have to buy is the 3kg - 5kg 350m braided line, 3kg - 6kg leader and a couple lures. All those things should be less than 250 silver which is very easy to get float fishing on Mosquito for a few hours as a newbie. By the time you open Bel you should have all the gear you need if you're a newbie and only bought those items.
Hey Mystic,i just want to ask a question, will you ever post a video again? Every 1-2 months i just come and watch all your videos again and just every month i just come and see if you posted anything new.this used to be and still is my favourite chanel,i just love watching your videos in the background while i play this masterpiece of a game.I wish your the best,Mystic!
Yeah I'll start posting again. I've got 3 ideas for videos when I start posting again. I've just had some health problems and other stuff that have prevented me from posting for a while.
what like hot drinks give energy when i am fighting fish and it dains my energy i heard you said cocoa for raining days to gte my comfort but what if my fish that i pull out drains my whole energy what drink should i use the to gte y energy back up
Tea and coffee, coffee being the best gives energy and comfort. So if you're fighting a fish and you need energy quickly go for coffee or tea. If you're fighting a fish and you need comfort to help speed up your energy regeneration AND you need energy then coffee and tea again. However if you're not fighting a fish, it is really bad weather and your comfort is low, it can stop your energy from regenerating fast. That is when you want to use hot cocoa to bring your comfort up. However if the Christmas event is still going on the best energy AND comfort drink in the game is available at the snowmen shop. It's called Sbiten. It is the best drink in the game for comfort and energy, so if you have the silver buy a few hundred before the holiday event ends.
@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 okey thank you so much you dont know how much this helps and i think you should continue maling videos you explain lotetally everyting and i enjoy hearing your totorials even though it was a long time ago
Ground bait always depends on the main bait you use. If you have tuti fruiti boilie as your main bait then you make a ground bait with tuti fruiti chopped up boilies and tuti fruiti dip. Any pellets or other flavors of ground bait additives that are also tuti fruiti you throw those in as well. If you use two different flavors you split them both up and put both flavors in the ground bait. I have an Amber Lake video that talks a bunch about ground baits. Here's the link to the video at the time I start talking about ground baits: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ql1VMUh5FOo.html
Besides casting Range which is a huge benefit in my modest opinion I agree do not fill the skill points in till you are 100% sure which way you want to go, they are limited and you can by far not fill them all. See what how, where and what you like the best and distribute them accordingly.
Yup they sure did. A lot of people were pretty pissed about it saying it ruined leveling food altogether. I think they did it because it made it so you'd have lots of different stacks of food with different qualities. In the end it kind of cluttered up the food inventory when trying to eat.
Line stretch is now in the game and effects the tension bar. If you have a stretchy line then the line will help to soften the blows of the fish. On top of this if the line is stretchy, like mono, it can give you a couple more seconds of not breaking if you max out your tension bar. This may help you notice you're maxed and allow you to turn down your friction brake before something breaks on your gear. If you have a low stretch line, like braid, the tension bar movement while fighting a fish will be slightly more violent and will almost immediately break something if you max out your tension bar.
Did you read the description and check to see if the newer file location in the description works? If it doesn't let me know so I can change the description.
Will that work differently on an ultra-light setup? What I mean is for example you have a Heaven Creek Cardena CST CSM68UL rod that has a load capacity of 8kg and a Trident Mayor 2 TMC-R reel with a max drag of 7.3kg. So far so good, the reel is below the rod's load capacity, right? But that reel has a mech drag of 27.9kg. Will I be able to utilize a 26kg line and leader, without risking the rod or will the line and leader have to be below 8kg?
The reel is not below the rods load capacity if it has a 27.9kg mech weight. The Max Drag is not the load capacity of the reel. It's how much pressure, or drag, it can put on the fish to wear the fish out.The higher the pressure (drag) the faster the fish will wear out. The mech weight is the load capacity of the reel. So no you won't be able to use a 26kg line on a 8kg rod. On a 8kg rod you wouldn't want to go over a 7.2 kg line. However if you had a 20kg rod you could use upwards of a 15kg - 17kg line and still be fine with a reel that has 7.3kg max drag with a 27.9kg mech. However you also have to watch out with how close your reels max drag is to your rods weight capacity. Reels are very powerful. Usually you want your rod to be close to double your reels max drag. If your reels max drag is only a couple kg under your rods weight limit then you'll notice the reel is too powerful for your rod and you won't be able to turn the reels brake to 29 before you redline your tension bar. So that reel you have is a little powerful for your rod. I'd either jump your rod up to a 15kg - 20kg rod, or lower your reel to at least a 5kg - 6kg max drag reel.
@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 Thanks, I'll look around for a decent setup for Belaya as currently using your setup with the first rod the game gives you. That's not an actual rod/reel I have, only an example, but thanks a lot, now I get it.
@@JivkoEnev You don't have the Corona S60L and the spark reel the game gives you when you start playing? They only cost like 20 silver for the rod and 9 silver for the spark if you don't. Or you could use the free Old Spinning rod the game gives you at the Admissions building. Then buy the Spark reel for 9 silver to use with it.
@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 I do, these are the ones I'm currently using on Belaya, but collecting for an upgrade as I plan to stay there for quite a while, until I get completely bored of it, but so far enjoying it there and contemplating whether to save for a casting rod and a baitcasting reel or another spinner rod and whether I should go for an ultra light setup or get something medium heavy or more and also go after the pikes.
@@JivkoEnev After Belaya you're going to be trolling for quite a while on Kuori Lake and Volkhov river. I'd get either a spinning rod and reel or a casting rod and reel to handle that. If you want my advice, Caliber HSV reels with either superduty spinning rod or model one spinning rod. You can use them for trolling, fishing from the bank, pike, or you can buy a model one feeder rods or fortuna carp rods and use them for bottom fishing or carp fishing with those same reels.
