This is a channel about a DIY guy who loves to work on cars and repair them by himself or with the help of his friends. he currently owns a 1996 f150 and a 2013 mustang gt/cs convertible
Just changed my spark plugs and the engine is now shaking and getting a squalling noise when I start the car(2006 Impala). Any suggestions? flashing engine light.
@TristanCoburn yes it still has the stock efi with no tuning at all. It runs a little lean but I'm hoping an adjustable fuel pressure regulator will fix that
@@fixitauto1616 T5 only came in the 94/95 SN cars, 96-98 used the T45 and 99-01 cars, and I think they switched late 01 for the TR3650 until 04 and of course the 03/04 Cobra got the T56.
@Mike-Honcho- in V8 Cars you are correct, V6 cars had the T5 from 1994-2004, only reason I know is because I pulled a T5 out of a 98 V6, reason ford did this was to keep cost of V6 down to nothing, it shared alot of design with the old 5.0 block, and the new 4.6 V8s got the t45 because it was entirely a new bell housing design for it amongst other reasons such as torque and power output
Thanks for the video. Noticed oil leaking from the rear bottom corner on the driver side. Thought it was going to be a hard job with all of the electrical components. Thanks for the tips!!!
My buddy had a 5.8 351 T5 fox. That thing would eat transmissions every few months. That too rad hose is very close, maybe a taller thermostat housing or something. Missing stickers sucks, last order I made from rockauto didn’t come with a magnet like the usually do… I feel your pain 😂 RiP Adam he died in jail last year apparently
I'm planning on putting a tkx transmission in it eventually. The t5 is just to get it running and driving for now. Besides I think the 7.5" diff will blow before the t5 😂.
even w/out dual tanks there is an electrical connector at that location AND it has to be connected to the dash bezel. a connection is made between a couple of the wires by the dummy connector on the bezel.
thanks so much for this helpful video, I'm working on my first 5.8l Ford Bronco and that part about only needing to remove the 2 hex nuts on the intake manifold studs so that you can rotate that whole coil/condensor/fuel harness connections assembly away all together saved me so much time! I probably would have taken all that stuff apart piece by piece!
Routed my belt the way he mentioned in the video and after installing a 250 amp alternator it came with a smaller pulley so I went down half an inch as recommended by the alternator company and now the belt keeps slipping and seems to flap around a lot and I went down another 1/2 inch and it won’t even go over, any help?
How are you I got a 1992 ford econoline e150 with a 351 widsor I like to delete the smog pump and change the crankshaft position sensor at the same time but I can't find the crankshaft position sensor it supposed to be close to the balancer I can't seem to find it is their one in this motors or do you know where is located at
So while I was trying to pull the white cable the plastic adjuster threads broke and are stuck in the bracket. I have no idea how to get the wire out now or replace it
