I hope that my support for both Jacob Geller and PMG on Patreon will lead to a collab in which Jacob Geller uses the brand new PMG zipline, while bringing along the author of my favorite short story collection Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah who he happened to introduce me too, and then PMG end up back in Estonia and they all talk about Disco Elysium. Tried to fit enough references in there
Recent fan to channel following the Disco Elysium video but loved diving in & out of the content and kudos to the brilliant animations/artwork (special mention to the "Gandhi Civ" stop animation work).
you simply inspired us to do what we do in our channel. we want to be similar to People Make Games but in Spanish. Your work is THAT important us. Simply thanks. I will become a patron next month
I'm sure you'll be able to tell this from the timing of when people sign up, but I just wanted to say, this video worked on me! I watched it and went "oh hey, why am I not subscribed to them yet?" And I'm on my way to sign up now. Thanks for all the great content you make
I've been looking at my subscriptions.. seeing what I can cull.. Patreon (thus, yall) was on the chopping block.. but ya'll are just too good. Really love your work :)
Your work on the Disco Elysium developers was really helpful in informing me on such a dense and complicated issue. Mad respect to you for pursuing that endeavor.
Well, if I wasn't on a fixed income, I would totally support you guys. So, I'll do what I can: share the videos on all my social media, like them, and comment. I'll also say thanks to all the people who do donate so that I can enjoy these amazing stories for free. Keep up the great work, y'all. It is appreciated. I'm looking forward to new videos.
lots of big gaming media outlets have taken a lot of L's this year but i believe there is a bright fiuture for gaming journalism ahead where we can get more independent journalism
I had to retract my patreon support because of money issues, but now that i've just received a nice bonus, i'm excited to throw my money at you again! love what you're doing and i especially love your independent games journalism. i'm not a gamer myself, but i love your stories!
Your artists drawings and graphics are amazing she really brings the videos to life in a very visually engaging way big props to her and people like her who do all that special work that rarely gets to have a face or name put to it ❤
Those stories were heavy and probably some of the hardest, but they were very much needed. You guys are doing the kind of journalism gaming desperately needs more of, and I hope you keep doing it for years to come.
Patreon since last month, it's the first time I had enough money to support you. Did not get in the bonus stuff yet, just happy to support your stuff that is available to all!
just subscribed and honestly y'all are doing great things and im really interested - this is the kind of stuff I want to do one day :) y'all's passion shows. You work hard and you care about the stories you wanna tell. Exciting to see what else y'all do !
Hi team - What type of one off donation give YOU the biggest share of my input? I'm not able to support Patreon unfortunately, but I'm still very keen to show financial support.
This really reminds me of how important your videos have been. I feel like the coverage of Valves involvement in betting is really important, especially when teenagers are involved. Has any larger media institutions picked it up and pressured Valve about it? I also really appreciated both the Excel video (I use Excel a lot in my work) and the Disco Elysium video. Thank you!
I did walk (not climb) it a few years ago. There's this lovely little cafe right at the top that sells pasties?! #1 best location I've ever purchased a baked good. -Chris
I've been living outside of the UK for like 9 months living in China and more than anything this video made me miss home lol. Having been hiking just by those ziplines and been rained on in a service station, I think I have to be a patron now!
I'm curious why the profanity is censored in the subtitles but not in the audio? I think the general consensus among subtitle users is that if something is spoken out loud, it should be written in the subtitles, otherwise the people who can't hear the audio get a different version of the same content purely because they can't hear, which isn't great.
Ah that's a great point. Usually we bleep both, as swearing can lead to videos being demonetised. But given this one isn't monetised in the first place, we don't need to. I think we bleeped the captions out of habit, to be honest. I'll get that changed now, thanks! -Chris
Hello from Singapore! Surprised to hear my country mentioned - didn't think there was even enough game-making activities here to warrant a visit. Looking forward to it nonetheless :)
Keep up the phenomenal work team. Your content and presentation really shines on a platform that is so highly saturated with gaming content. I hope you can keep producing stand out content long into the future ✌️
Thanks for all the awesome content you have done so far :) It has been a amazing journey. Not sure if this idea has already been given, but what about a positivie video? I wouldnt mind seeing some Larian Studio stuff and about the development process and rise of their new succes story, Baldurs Gate 3. Heard there is a interesting backstory with Larian.
You are honestly one of if not the only good games journalists. You don't do game reviews because why would you. Instaed you make videos about how and why and what will it mean. Just amazing.
