@@xtrapolis29 theres a chronic underfunding of railways. if west gate tunnel and eastlink can cost several times more than rail projects but still be considered feasible, then cheap myki fares and expansive projects like srl should be a given to counter the subsidy taxpayers unconditionally funnel into cars, cars and more cars, even if the taxpayer does not drive
Because of the antiquated system, tourists have to buy Mykis to travel in the city, and will inevitably leave with funds left over. They’re never going to get that back. The government should use the leftover to subsidise the prices rather than raising them twice a year 😡.
Think these old farts need to realise that when safety is the problem, it’s their responsibility to make the roads more safe, not ban the new helpful technology. We should be banning cars from the CBD, not harmless scooters.

I feel like “terminate” is a pretty simple term that people should learn. “This train ends here” sounds like a dramatic line from a movie. And “get off here” just sounds a little rude.

Can someone please explain why a train or bus to the airport should cost any more than a regular train or bus? Its like 4 times the price!! The current bus for over $20 is robbery!
