Hello, I'm cottage witch Vera la Moss and welcome to Mothwing Cottage, my little cottage and homestead where I run my apothecary and witchcraft business for the local townsfolk of Mossvale. On this channel, I show little vlogs and snippets of my life spent gardening, making magical potions, working in my kitchen, and doing general witchcraft deeds throughout the year. This is a slice of life, a day in the life of a green/kitchen/cottage witch, channel with a heavy focus on ASMR, surreal fantasy imagery, and slow, seasonal living out in the magical countryside. Follow along for our magical adventures and day-to-day doings!

Hi Vera 🙂 thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage herb garden and your tincture recipes. I'm starting slowly a herb garden although mine will be much smaller. The holy basil and chocolate mint i will definately look for. The mimosa tree where i live have yellow flowers in early spring. Never seen pink fluffy flowered mimosa before. ❤ Blessed be
I've never heard of a yellow mimosa before so I looked it up and they're different species but with the same common name. Thanks for telling me about the yellow blooming one; it sounds like a really cool plant and its flowers are gorgeous too! This pink one is also called Silk Tree in some parts of the world, but here in the Southern US we call it mimosa. Good luck with your herb garden!
I'm sorry you've had trouble with yeast! You could try proofing the yeast with just warm water. Not hot water or cold water, just warm. If it bubbles, then you can add it to the flour with the sugar and salt and it should work better.
I always look forward to your videos! Will you be doing a follow up video on your broom corn ? I'd love to see a broom making tutorial if that's your plan for it.
Thankyou! If the broom corn grows well and I get enough to harvest, then yes, I'll be making a broom with it this fall! It looks like it's all sprouted in the garden now but it'll take a few months for it to mature.
That's a shame! I've lost entire harvests to the critters before too haha! I covered my strawberries this year with some wire fencing, and I think that's the only reason they weren't taken by all the birds and squirrels.
The music you played for the fireflies segment did sound like what their little world and little light might sound like, loved it! Can you share the name of it? I don't have fireflies where I live but I have seen them on holiday. 🌟
I'm glad I could share some firefly magic with you! The music is custom made for this video and it was entirely improvised, so it doesn't really exist on its own or have a name unfortunately

Happy Imbolc! What a cozy video! I love seeing how fellow creators celebrate 🕯 It's also fascinating to see how different your climate is and how that affects how you celebrate compared to my snowy homestead in Quebec. :)
Vera, SUPER Loaves of Bread. That is one neat HAT. Love it. AND such a great vessel and cover to mix and let your bread rise. AND ...not a drop of flour on your fashional outfit. I ALWAYS WEAR AN APRON. And ...usually get flour on SOMETHING. Thank you for sharing. Very enjoyable voice and light music behind. I DO HAVE A COPY OF YOUR RECIPE. Aria
