At around 3:00 you say that everything comes from there (centerline). But i think i misunderstood. I mean, the punches come from the shoulders which are to the sides so the punches do not really come from the center, and even if you are cpntrolling somebody's center, they can still potentially do a lot (like stab you with a knife). I think that i'm getting this all wrong
Think conceptually, not literally. Visualize your punches coming from your own heart (your center), not from your shoulder. All power and balance goes thru their center. If someone has a knife, run.
I have quite a few questions. Why are the upper dummy arms on an angle while the lower one goes straight into the center? You said that they simbolize pressure and energy, so why is that we train with energy that goes on an angle rather than straight in? Is it because it's simbolizing that we already used a technique or footwork to dispel it? I really don't get it
Sifu Adam I want to take your On-line Course. I am on a tight budget. Is it possible to make Installment Payments. That come up to the $97.00. Please respond. 🙏
Thank you Sifu for this lesson. At the end of my training session I do a little bit of a striking practice like chain punching and similar stuff but I can maintain my full speed for only short time, like 20-25 seconds. After that my strenght and speed drops. What may be causing this?
Chain punches aren’t meant to be trained as fast as you can. They’re meant for precision and efficiency. Instead of focusing on speed focus on doing it more correctly. See ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N3hzfGxs5CE.htmlsi=_3p0JITq6yI17TAk
Right on brother ur right about training at home very important .+ U become Wc in ur being .I was blessed to train with Grandmaster of wing chun .Master Chris Chan . The strongest Man in the 🌍 😊much Respect . SF .
Interesting. My visual study of the 3 masters doing Siu Nim Tao seems to validate the fact each master can adapt a form to meet their own needs. Interesting. You have to go back in time and be present to understand why. Interesting, just really interesting.
My thing is… people tell a lot of stories about ip man. If he didn’t tell any stories, don’t tell it for him, just leave it like it was. If he did, then tell it like it is and leave it like that. Too many people got a lot to say about the man but they never knew the man. But I understand many are inspired by him.
Thank you for the help. It is very hard to get people to try anything without the group. This is a good starting point. Growth is essential for the future.
The 3 forms are in Wing Chun so that your techniques become second nature. But this will take you time but with lots of practice with a mirror to correct your form so that you can see your form as your Sifu has shown you. This can take you years to Master but if you use your free time to practice you might progress faster and your Sifu will teach you how to use that form in a practical application of each technique from either Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu and of course Biu Jee the 3rd form. There is no 4th form. but there are weapons in Wing Chun like the Dragon Pole and Baat Jaam Do The Butterfly Swords not to be confused with the balisong butterfly knive
My mate always drummed it into me that I will never know 100% structure or how to punch straight properly, he had a sifu that, would be all about structure, and his sifu practices forms alot. And he lived in China. He is just as accomplished as you. And a veteran like you, for years he has been wingchun. When he said that it made me question my wingchun, but as you said if you do the basics repetively thats the true homework.
