I don't usually do water changes, mostly top up. I use co2 with a mix of city and RO water with a fully planted tank. BTW...there is always algae in a tank because it's alive but it shouldn't be out of control either.
Here you need to understand what you want from the aquarium. To dig in it and cut plants, or just face especially without interfering in the processes. If you are willing to give the aquarium time to mature leisurely, I don't see a problem.
I notice that there is a pea puffer in there with cherry shrimp. Are they ok together because it is heavily planted? Do you have problems with Mr. Pea picking off your shrimp? TY!
Props to them for disclosing the recipe. It wouldn't have been that difficult to figure out for someone that understands the science behind it, but still cool they make it easy for anyone.
Interesting review thank you. As one of the other comments stated you can drill another 20 holes in the prefilter pipe to increase the flow. Alternatively and even better, replace the tube completely with a bigger white 21.5mm overflow pipe from a DIY store and drill 40 holes in it. It will fit over the connector rather than inside it. The foam rings will still fit.

Hey, I have a similar setup with a Dooa "wabi-kusa-wall-60". Looks great but I always had some mold/algue/cyano within the moss wall. The water parametes were good though so maybe missing ventilation I don't know. I hope the same doe not happen to you ;) (And I hope if this happen to you that you'll keep us posted with a solution 🤣😁) As always top tier video
You have great aquariums! The shallow Tank is really amazing! I would be glad, if you can help me. The Styleline 125, is it Bug enough for green neon tetras over a long time? Do they school very much? And do the led get in contact with the surface of the water? I am looking forward to your new gallery! :)
They just need water, light and nutrition. So, in this setup, as long as the roots have access to the water (or the water flowing through the sponges) they will be fine. I'm guessing he'll dose some liquid fertilizer now and then.
Vielen Dank vorab!
A Palu....awesome ! I really like the whole concept but there is a small feature I think people will suffer with: The integrated fogger will clog in notime with the water in the tank. Those ceramic discs are very fickle over time ....dont ask how I know that..my first one only worked 2 months and then I changed to RO water to run it with. Great review ....and noew you need a dart frog terrarium 😉😁👍...edit : the price is a bit offputting though for such a small thing 🤨
As usual, you are clear about what is your opinion then immediately follow with your experience that show why you have that opinion. You have an uncanny knack for being able to add things that even experienced fish & plant keepers and aquascapers learn from. I have been a fan since your earliest videos and will arm wrestle @BlackLionDZ for the #1 fan title. LOL
i wish people would stop keeping shrimps in such small spaces. please put a shrimp in a 100 liter aquarium and take notice how regularly it will swim from side to side, bottom to top and diagonale. too small for shrimp. small snails would be happy
@@nathanpowell5367 1st reality: there is a 100l tank with shrimps zooming all over in the room i am sat in. 2nd reality: until some do point out, no very few will take notice and keep creatures in something they can swim in. how many took the fish in the bowl normal till years later, finally, the hobby now cosider a tank and adapted size a bare minimum ;) dream more, its a good thing
The regret that comes when you walk past that terrarium and destroy the entire design because the branch coming out of the tank also likes your t-shirt and won't let you go. 🤣🤣
quite pretty. always wondered when he tier aquascapers decide to do a terrarium or paludarium like you or juris, where do you get your inspiration? do you just look at some photos and wing it, or are you guys like serpa addicts like the rest of us?
