13:33 so blind, I understand I just hit 49 years old and never needed glasses till now . I have a job that I need to read gauges and blue prints and I cant see shit up close.
I love welcome home sanatorium, my school was in an old sanatorium with on the atic a psychotron, isolationcel and clasroom with human brains in jars. The also performed lobotomies.
The song, and the mathematical/compositional brilliance that went into making the song just drive home the meaning - stop over-thinking, over-analizing, separating the body from the mind - and just enjoy the damn music! ;)
There's just so much stuff to recommend, but it's hard to narrow down without some idea of what you're already familiar with and what your interest is, your perspective on music. But here's a few of my favourite songs. V.A.S.T. - Touched The Beat/The English Beat - Too Nice To Talk To. British Ska (2nd Wave/2-Tone Revival) sleepmakeswaves - One Day You will Teach Me To Let Go Of My Fears My favourite Post-Rock band. Instrumental. PPK - Resurrection / ППК - Воскрешение Sovietwave. Kate Rusby - My Young Man. Honestly all of her stuff is impossibly beautiful, it's very hard to choose.
Your interpretation is 100% bang on. The imagery is not aliens imo, its us, its our inner demons, traumas, ego, pride etc portrayed almost as parasites living within us, and disabling our ability to do what we need to fix the relationship. To communicate at a deep level to resolve our issues. Cheers!
This HAS to be said.......Tool is not a "Metal" band. Lateralus is not a "Metal" song. There's a great interview with Adam Jones describing his reaction to people calling Tool....Metal. "Every time someone calls us Metal I kind of wanna go.....take a bath. We're not a bunch of grungy head banging Vikings, it's much more than that."
Here is a video someone did on just how much tool and Maynard heavily rooted this song in the Fibonacci Sequence; it's mind blowing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uOHkeH2VaE0.htmlsi=BJdU4B8rEApBog6D
Next: "Sulfur" or "Duality"... Check the band Stone Sour, another project with this vocalist. The lyrics of Slipknot are deep, full of energy, rage and emotion. When I was a teenager, this band wasn't one of my favourites but I crossed paths with people who loved this band and it growed in me. Awesome band. I see you got a black cat, one of mine is also black but the poor guy needs a diet, he's massive, looks like a fat baby panther 😅
Omg. You were practicing playing Guitar. I haven't seen you since your last Tool reaction. Good to see you. Took the sails out of me seeing you are okay.
No lyrics important but voice notes and drums . + no left right hand banging in metaal fans but foward back or if long hir then rings with head to graet "windmill" effect.
It’s been a minute. Please explore more Slipknot. It will lead more to the lead singer side projects. So much to hear. I hope you can listen to an acoustic Corey Taylor version of Slipknot version of Snuff. Hope you can check it out.
