Amazing video! I totally agree with you on it. That's why this is my favourite anime movie and one of my top 3 favourite soundtracks ever. You probably know this, but I'll just leave it here: there are two guys - a therapist and a filmmaker - who react to films (their channel is called Cinema Therapy) and they've watched this movie. *SPOILER ALERT* Regarding the silence you mention, the filmmaker said something about the 20 second silence that happens on the father's death scene (with some voiceover) that I didn't noticed the first time I saw the film, but, afterwards, I'd always notice, and would always feel deeper and deeper everytime I'd see it. He said that those 20 seconds of silence are amazing storytelling because it gives you the impression that your/Hanna's world stopped and you/she counldn't process what you/she had just seen; as if you got stuck there, despite the world around you continues moving. All by standing in silence. Now, I adore this film and I've seen it a few times over the years (probably once a year or so) and, last time, I just focused a lot on some particular scenes. And this was one of them. When Hanna's «husband» is missing and she goes look for him with the kids - the whole scene is like 2 minutes long, I think - there's some "everyday" sounds that strike me as if they were more intense than usual: the rain feels heavier and more agressive, the traffic sounds are more rough and more annoying, thunder hits you, but Hanna's steps feel lost or useless and we can't hear much of her breathing, as if she was being overpowered by the world. When she gets to the bridge and our point of view is repositioned on her back, the umbrella she carries covers much of the screen, its color breaking through all that gray. Still listening everything around her, we see her umbrella fall and, as soon as it hits the ground, suddendly there's pure, clean silence - almost as if it was an editing malfunction or something - a silence that cuts terribly deep, and it's followed by Hanna's terrified gasp. Few seconds later, Yuki's voiceover continues the scene, but still no other sound is heard: no rain, no cars, no thunder, nothing. The world's noises only come back when the «husband»'s body is being removed. So, between the umbrella hitting the floor and the body being removed, we become bystanders right next to Hanna: we are not Hanna, but we are there, next to her, shoulder to shoulder, whatching that horror scene, trying to process it, trying to figure it out, just like she is. As that filmmaker said, that she got stuck in that moment for a few seconds, WE too get to experience her shock as if we too got stuck in that moment and counldn't move for 20 seconds. I don't know, probably I'm exagerating, but that scene hits me hard every single time and I just get impressed by it over and over again. Thank you for celebrating this incredible film.
I bought the Logitech crayon, and it is really good. I'm glad i didnt listen to those who said negative stuff about it. I didnt even notice that there's no pressure sensitivity. I always had my pen's sensitivity very high, so i dont have to push hard on the screen to protect it. I have an Xp-pen screen tablet and use photoshop to draw, there's literally no difference in the pencils. So yeah, dont be afraid buying the Logitech crayon if you are low in budget. If you can draw, it wont be a problem.
I am discovering your channel, it's very cool !! I am a french animator student, and yes Fortiche Production is really interesting and innovative. By the way, in French "fortiche" is a familiar word to say "good at something", maybe it cames from the word "fort" (means strong) and we just add "iche" because it's funny to say (lol). Like "sympatoche" comes from "sympa" (means nice), and we add "toche" to make the word more goofy, funny.
Do I understand correctly that if I own a 2017 A1701 10.5” iPad Pro (Pencil Generation 1 device), I can use a Generation 2 Pencil/stylus but I wont benefit from all of the later devices features? But it will still connect and work as a Gen 1 pencil?
I have the same ipad and i have bought a fake stylus from aliexpress it was about $12 basically the same as the kxt stylus and it doesn’t work, it doesn’t come up in the bluetooth at all so i wouldnt risk it but the logitech stylus should work im not sure though
I've had many people tell me that cartoons like avatar the last airbender and teen titans go are "kids cartoons" because they think they're childish at times, but that's completely wrong, and it's just a stereotype. It frustrates me that people still don't know the difference between a cartoon made for children, and a cartoon made for everyone of any age.
The Prince of Egypt is a shitty cartoon! I hate it. Never liked it when I was a kid and still don’t as an adult. It’s a stupid dumbass overrated cartoon that fucking blows! I hate it! It was laughably bad. Bad cartoon
Treasure Planet was a poorly written mess of two mixed genres that should never be mixed. And that's why it bombed. Not to mention the fact that Disney already had two GOOD versions of Treasure Island under their belts already and had no need for a third.
My first pen was jamjake. After using it for a year, I switched to Yebos. Now I prefer Yebos pen. It works quickly and has long battery life, which allows me to focus on my work better. The most important thing is that the price is only $9.9
I have never watched this film but I did see them working on it when I took the tour at MGM Studios. Saw Tarzan being made in 1998 but can't remember what they were making in 1995, think Hercules but not 100% sure
Oddly enough, while _The Rescuers Down Under_ was the very first Disney animated film to make full use of the CAPS digital ink-and-paint process, _The Prince and the Pauper,_ the Mickey Mouse featurette that originally accompanied said animated feature, was the very last Disney short film to use the traditional ink-and-paint process.
A little late but just saw this and I literally went through the same experience as you. I knew I was Aromantic for a few years but just shrugged it off. I then had a 'lightbulb' moment a year later while watching a queer show on Netflix(a character came out as gay) 😊 Let's just say I'm now a happy AA member of the community 💚💜
Jeez why do people think age matters? the industry has been going in and out due to all this drama and excuses about it. And those saying kids movie is just so stupid and selfish. And all these dumb adults care about is being payed. Animation deserves way more than what it is than a art form. We even see a entire universe in there. How can adults be so naive? They all disgust Walt sometimes. They disgust the gods of animation themselves. All because of one thing. THIER DUMB POLITICIANS! Sorry I’m just very serious about everything about animation.

@@ryanmatthews3609They definitely are better in how they treat their partners. It's not even comperable. Disney would never give so much money to some unknown animated studio and writers who have never written a movie script in their life. Instead they would rather make a live action dogwater.
Thank you for showing/sharing/explaining how of the 3D animations steps work. I’m majoring in film at Georgia Gwinnett College. Or GGC, and I need the complete explanation for how this all works. Hopefully I can find a job in the industry I want. I can’t just back down and give up. I mean different types of animations are just so beautiful and amazing to me.
I'm an indie animator in the Philippines, and it's annoying that some of my friends keeps on calling animated cartoons as pambata or for kids even though we have a handful of cartoons aimed at teens like Dragon Ball Z, or even Simpsons. It's not just that, there are some animated shorts that you can look up on RU-vid that tackle more experimental themes like the shorts of NFB or KIS, or even documentaries for teens and adults like Armchair Historian and Oversimplified, and some of our childhood trauma media are animated cartoons like Courage or even Coraline! So next time someone comes up and says something like "Pambata yung cartoon Ito" or "You are too old for cartoons" I'm gonna make them watch Animal Farm and Akira so they would know animation isn't just for kids! Plus it's sad that most 3rd world countries still believe in this false stigma and I think what is to blame is that 99% of the Saturday morning kid's programs contained cartoons...
I think they used the enemy song again in episode 5 because they probably wanted to use the original track at least once. The enemy song in the intro is a remixed version with a lot of orchestra giving it a slightly more epic vibe.
