Question concerning Corbeau, as I was about to pull the trigger on a bucket and bracket. Is the stamped base too flexible to get consistent seat feel when chasing tenths or is it dangerously flexible, something you wouldn’t trust? I’ll only be using it for spirited driving but my mtn’s corners still have you really trying to hold yourself upright in the oem seats.

@@reshinguneko2355 I believe David touched the loaded rear tire on the grass and that's what caused the spin, it was crazy quick. Also not the first time I've seen that separation happen, the stock sheet metal is just spot welded in place. Stitch welding the chassis for track use isn't a bad idea.

've been going back and forth between a ge8 and a fiesta st for a dd (and to possibly dip my toe into the sundae cup). The fit just seems like such a solid unit. I had an 89 wagovan and absolutely loved it with coilovers, tires and brakes, if the fit is anything like that....the fiesta st may be less appealing.. What happened with the off? seemed like a total loss of grip in the rear?? I hope you absolutely rip it in the sundae cup for the rest of the year, I''ll be rooting for you on the stream! *For the fit/sundae cup guys and gals, is there a specific year of ge8 that does not have vsc from the factory?*
@JoosshhST
@JoosshhST 13 дней назад
I owned a Fiesta ST before I sold it and bought my GE now. In my opinion, just get the GE Fit. The power of the ST is cool and all; But, the overall build quality, cost of ownership, and ease of maintenance of the Fit is just much better. But, try them both out for sure and see what you like more.
@Sebs.garage_
@Sebs.garage_ 13 дней назад
@@lynnmckenney1987 don't think the ST is allowed in SC because of boost. The GE is a fantastic chassis, but it does not allow for rear camber adjustment while the GD chassis does. That said, the GE is still very capable and in my opinion the better street car.
@DecaTarce
@DecaTarce 10 дней назад
I believe the very first year of the GE does not have VSC, possibly the second as well. Don't worry too much about that though, it's extremely easy to disable with a single wire cut, and it barely takes any effort beyond that to put it on a switch if you think you might want to turn it back on at some point. I daily my car year round without it and as long as you run proper snow tires it isn't an issue at all.

No need to go through all that hassle to remove the glare shield, you can just push and bend it in and out of the way using a flat head and don't worry it won't break, it's metal for GD and GK and then put your projectors on. Took 30 minutes to swap them, as I took the tires off.

Awesome Video Man! Have you ever checked your 0-60 times? I am just curious because I just got a 2008 Fit and its way slower then my 2012. So I am trying to get more low end torque from 2008. From what I gathered in your video you would reccomend these things to get the best performance. 4-2-1 Exhaust Flashpro Plugs Tune You think those things will get me better 0-60 speeds?
@Sebs.garage_
@Sebs.garage_ 2 месяца назад
@@gregburnley 0-60 is approximately two to three business days Jokes aside, I don't think the car is really all that much faster down low with my particular setup and I also don't think low end torque is really where these small engines shine. Where I do notice a big difference is top end and highway speeds, I can actually keep up with traffic without issue and have more oomph to make passes without trouble. The throttle response from the tune will also make it so that the small amount of power these make is on tap a lot sooner, which is really helpful.

I would have liked to have seen more of a comparison of the brights... Every LED light I've used the brights barely make a difference & from what I saw here it's the same deal. Granted, the low beams are pretty freaking amazing. I've found on cars that have double headlight bulbs like EF civic/CRX LED in the headlight & standard halogen in the high beams gives the best of both worlds. Allot of LED lights are very hard to see when it's wet conditions. On my GD I've got LED headlamps & halogens in the fogs & it's much better than when I had LED & LED. Another good upload Seb, keep them coming. We all appreciate the content. MrE Garage signing off.

Only issue i have with these types of aftermarket headlight setups is they don't last long ended up using quality halogen bulbs & they are pretty bright & was only 40 bucks
@Sebs.garage_
@Sebs.garage_ 2 месяца назад
It really depends on the bulbs. I've used Sylvania LED bulbs in my fog lights and they've been on there for 5 or so years without issue. I've had Sylvania ZXE bulbs last under two years. Either way, any halogen bulbs I've used do not hold a candle in comparison to a projector LED (retrofit, or these bulbs in particular) in terms of light output and visibility.

@Sebs.garage_

I don't think there would be because they are larger than the hole, but I'm all ears (and eyes) if someone comes up with a way to do it. The instructions for removal are a bit different on the Roadmanners website, so take your pick on which method you'd like to use. @@carthos4402 I think pretty much every year other than 2015 is solid, I would just try to avoid buying a base model and always go with a Sport as the added benefits are largely worth the small price increase. As with any used car, look for rust, fluid leaks, condition of tires/brakes/suspension components, maintenance records, etc. (including valve adjustments, people forget about that part of the maintenance schedule). Each gen has its own little quirks, so go out and test drive some cars and see what you like best.
