That's bullshit. It's great at balancing out your core. And there are sooo many different variations you can do with it. It's a great exercise. Because it makes you move in so many different awkward angles
yep went through the wild goose chase myself. at 23 i was an amateur boxer turned bodybuilder wannabe. Trained hard and fast. sub 10 body fat was like a forever illusive goal but it kept me going. work, life, injuries, illness and ten years forward, I kept getting weaker and fatter till I went through a hiatus of 3 years where I did next to nothing. it was then I discovered the importance of reestablishing your values. Now my goal as a middle aged man is to be relatively athletic, flexible, look lean, and most importantly, enjoy the process. No longer do I chase the burn, obsess over gains. Instead of hitting the gym 5 times a week, I incorporate easy jogging, took up badminton and bouldering and for the first time in about 13 years went back to boxing, and boy does it feel good there not being screamed at by the coach and not having to prove anything to anyone going hard sparring and all that. I am still constantly evolving and growing and that includes inevitable aging and further deterioration of my body. There will be one day I won’t be able to climb up a boulder wall at all (something I enjoy so damned much these days) but I already have a plan to take up Taichi or some internal martial arts at that time and am feeling excited for that! God, it feels good to be middle aged!
I love machines, but I've read that if you lift heavy, statistically you're more likely to get a back injury if you never squat and build your back with your legs.
I'm not as strong as I was 10 years ago. I'm not doing 140kg squats or 180kg deadlifts anymore. But I'm now 12% BF instead of 25% and I'm more happy with my appearance than ever.
Some really solid adjustments to basic exercises that are inline with more and more studies such as enhanced hypertrophy working muscles from their elongated positions. Added bonus watching Mountain Dog John Meadows getting huge air from jumping at the 7:30 mark.
Roughly😆 she’s an inch if not pushing two on you fam but I get what you’re trying to convey just lets be real if the hair isn’t bushy she might have 3 on you
Love the positivity here but let’s be real for a sec, it was the gear. This is the main reason I haven’t hopped on, too scared of the dysmorphia I’ll face after I jump off.
It seems to me in doing the lat pulls that the closer the hands together the lower the lats are hit and the wider grip the higher the lats are hit. I can feel the difference when I do them that way.
Not to give TMI, but I had to chuckle at the butt wipe example because I can identify with that! 😂❤ This was so refreshing and informative! New subbie here!
