Question for any pilots in the comment section. If you’ve ever piloted a plane that can land on water like this one, was your first water landing a bizarre feeling? I just imagine that it feels wrong the first time you do it.
It wld be so sick if there was modern avionics and living quater and flying this everywhere, I rememeber some guys did it with a pby4 catalyna there was a documentry
my father has two oldtimer cars and this reminds me so much of the experience to drive them...but flying in the air! absolutely stunning, thanks for the video
I unfortunately do not know. There’s so few in existence you have to know someone to be able to buy one. This one had sat for a while and although looks good from the video, has needed substantial work to get flying.
PBY is my favorite amphibious ww2 plane, or actually favorite amphibious in general. but the Goose is great! I would totally make it a camper kinda, like the PBY concept one, with a full kitchen and all.
You see that box top left of the pilots seat with the switches and black and white labels, does anyone know where I could get parts to replicate that kind of switch box?
