I’m confused why is she acting like black and Latina are two separate things?..there are Afro Latinos. Born to both black parents who just happen to be of Latin origin. I can’t stand mfs like that. They’re usually black and mestizo at least the ones that act like this. Therefore she’s not Afro Latina.. she’s biracial.

Shera has been doing this for years long before Kevin Samuels and the podcast bros. I found her in my early 20s in late 2018 and I'm currently 28 years old. I learned within 2 years of watching her that her advice just wasn't for me. I wanted romance and a provider and most of what she teaches is the "get what you can from men" mindset which isn't my style. I noticed most of the women who followed her were only getting pennies and not the full package out of the men they were dealing with. For me, I want it all, not just a couple hundred or thousand dollars from a man who isn't my husband, but to each their own. I think her advice works if you're looking to attract colorist and texturist black men and non-black men. Please be careful who you listen to online ladies, think to yourself if another woman is telling you not to wear your natural hair or natural extensions it's probably because she doesn't want the extra competition that will certainly come when you showcase the beauty that is unique to you. I took the advice that I liked from her (which was very little) and left the rest, now I'm currently engaged to an amazing man who gives me the FULL package, not just a few crumbs under the couch cushion I had to lay on my back to hopefully get lol 🤣❤️💕😘

Also, Black femininity ideals are very different from white femininity ideals, even when dating white men. I really wish they would stop the foolery! I’ve dated hypergamously at every point of my life and only ONCE did a guy say something about my hair, and he was a coon who hated being dark-skinned, so that ended anyways. It seems like when ppl say “natural” hair, they mean unstyled and unkempt. You can wear you real hair and still look beautiful- in fact, I think it’s best. Even when I wear wigs, it’s still kinky straight or 4b (my natural texture)!
@ShekaGolden
@ShekaGolden 5 часов назад
As a person who was raised to date hypergamously, ABSOLUTELY HATE the advice against natural hair. Black men absolutely love natural hair, braids, and locs over straight hair, and ANY black woman in the dating game will tell you that natural hair attracts more white men than fake/straight hair does. Men are not one size fits all. Primp yourself in a way that’s true to YOU, and always be yourself, man or no man.

Lengthism is a huge problem for us. Especially, when our natural beauty is oftentimes enhanced with shorter hairstyles. The reason so many black women who are models get hair cuts or hair styles that are short, is because our facial structures are the focal point of much of our beauty. I have been saying this for a little bit, but I think that the "long hair" beauty standard is somewhat anti-black. Like, why do we put so much energy in trying to "prove" that we can "grow long hair?" Especially when our hair's natural, resting state will never appear to be long, no matter how many inches the strand it. We should not have to defy the resting state of our own hair in order to meet a beauty standard, and if we do, then the beauty standard is not for us. "Bald-headed" has been an insult for us for so long, that we will do anything to avoid being associated with short hair, when in fact, short hair might even compliment some of our beauty much more than longer hair could. It is such an unfortunate standard that continues to force us into a corner of only being able to acknowledge beauty when it is euro-centric and applied to us. Black women look good in short hair, shrinkage is going to always look short. We need to get more comfortable with having short or short-appearing hair, because it suits us very well and everybody does not want to stretch manipulate their hair all the time to be seen.

Them spirits in all that remy hair from actual humans are triggered probably not even them as a person upset. Because why would anyone get so offended or aggressive for saying something that is true. It's not even insulting something that benefits your hair health is insulting???

Please I’m tired of reading in the comments that natural hair wash day is hard. STOP! It’s not. Just find a method that works for you. Not every wash day has to be in sections and blah blah. I used to do that and it took up my whole weekend. Now I use products that work for me and wash my hair in either 4 sections or I get in the shower and free form it, I still have to detangle it when I come out so why waste time doing that for 6 sections of hair and literally I swear takes me 1 hour and that includes the deep conditioning. I keep my products light, I only use 3 and they work with my hair and make detangling so much easy. Just find what works for you and don’t feed into the same negative troop of black hair being difficult because imagine there were no wigs to cover it up then you’d be forced to learn it. Peace to all. I know I’m 5 months late but I just had to say that after reading the comments.

The ingredients may be the same, but the place where the ingredients come from may not be the same. Welcome to advertising. Advertising has used trickery to sell any and everything, since advertising began. The sad truth is people want to make money. You invent a product for 4C hair. Then some BIG company like P&G gives you a number and makes you an offer, you sign on the dotted line and that's it. The product is no longer yours.

Glad youtube recommended this to me. Subscribing! The amount of times I hear black americans and west africans tell me that my toddlers need their hair done when I occasionally give them a break from manipulation hairstyles is ridiculous. When I do wear wigs/protective styles, I make sure they are similar to my hair texture. Y'all stay safe, wear your hair how you want to.

Femininity coaches are all silly and delusional. It doesn't matter if you wear make up, or not, if your hair is straight or long or short . If your man is crap, he will cheat on you and leave. BTW, the "coach" that keeps talking about hair? Her hair looks like a wig.

I’m so glad you mentioned how oil can irritate the scalp..especially if you have a sensitive scalp. I don’t put oil on my scalp either! My scalp will just start itching within 2 days, so I decided to stop. Also, I never had a problem with Mielle products…but will definitely not buy anymore! Proctor and Gamble can really screw up a good thing!!

The woman having people take pics of her is doing that for $$$. She's dressed like that BECAUSE she wants people to take pictures of her. There are folks who walk up and down the street in beaches in the US carrying large boa constrictors, for people to take pics of them.

This situation is not as deep as y’all are trying to make it out to be. They went on a comedian podcast. They laughed at a joke. Y’all were not upset about that joke until they said that they went to Atlanta and they didn’t find any bad women they didn’t say they didn’t find any bad black women or white women they said women in general, but somehow y’all took that personal if everybody has a horror story with a black woman at what point do y’all not think that maybe there is some truth to whatever everybody collectively is saying about us, including other black women

Hi Mayowa, I was watching a video the other day of a type 4 hair influencer. She did a wash day routine with 4C Only products and the amount of time she took styling her hair was an all day affair: shampoo, deep conditioning, detangling in sections, sitting with a heated cap, rinsing, leave-in conditioner, brushing, two-strand twists, 24-hour air drying, taking down (carefully, so as not to produce frizz) the twists with hair oil, stretching with a RevAir dryer (shrinkage is a no-no!), picking the roots with an afro pick, slicking the edges...MY GAWD, I was exhausted just watching it! We need to normalize being at peace with letting our hair do what it does with minimal to no manipulation! Believe me when I say, I have better things to do with my time than that! 🤣 Also, I think this article speaks to what you discussed: www.allure.com/story/natural-cloud-hair

Notice how women and black women can pretty much say anything about men and black men specifically but the second it’s reversed “how dare you say anything about black women” “how dare you say anything about women” it’s sad.
