It at least looks nice. I test drove one of these and I wasn’t really that impressed either. I decided to just keep my old 2002 Porsche Carrera4 911. Yeah, she’s old, but I done all the maintenance on her and she still runs very well.
I had a 81 turbo Smokey and the bandit trans am at 16, I had a 2001 ZO6 along with several other cool cars.first Gen Camaros and Firebirds ,SS SLPs , 87 GN ECT. . I now have a 2016 Z06 I love it!!
I absolutely love this vehicle. I only buy Lexus because they are reliable and reasonably priced, and maintenance won't "kill" your budget. This is a fair and great review, and I perfectly match this vehicle's "target" market makeup. I'm so happy and look forward to pushing the mileage well into the 150,000s; you can do this easily with a well-maintained Lexus.
You said you wouldnt buy it now because of the pricing, I think the 2017 is still around the same price, milage dependant, so I have been looking at the grand sport.
Spend a little more for a grand sport and you get better handling, better looks, a dry sump oil pump, and with the manual a hand assembled LS3 among other goodies.
@@alexwest4253 while the Grand sport might look, handle and stop better, it tends to be 50% more for a grand sport that doesn't necessarily add 50% more performance
Really hope I get to own one of these in my life time, they were my dream cars during the release when I was little and it still is my dream car today, so glad it's at a somewhat affordable price, the BMW can't stay forever
It needs sport tuning and steering, and the interior is embarrassingly dated. Get rid of track pad and CD player put in new infotainment system. Redesign dash.
No The supercharged 6.2 is the v-series to get 670 horsepower I believe. it also has a manual transmission.. It's a bit more than the 420 hp the V6 has
Got my 1987 n/a auto 740 in Vancouver BC for 675$ in 2017, drove it back to Quebec, over the course of 4 years driving it semi daily and doing regular maintenance, i swapped in an m47 from a volvo 240, re painted it, sold it in 2021, just re bought it a month ago and the thing is still working, it has over 500 000km’s on the original engine and it still starts at a quarter turn, the thing is a beast and i will keep it forever, got a spare turbo engine this time too, so only good things to come for my ole volvo. (Got the same Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel also, from 1987 too) My car has the same specs as your car im pretty sure, just 2 years difference, ZF tranny did hold up for about 300k km’s, it disintegrates smoothly though, lost 4th, a bit later 3rd and so on made it from my job to halfway up my hill and it stayed there for a while lmao
Awesome vid, your camera work is really impressive. I'm very tempted to trade my 2022 WRX in for a C6 one of these days. $30k seems like such a small price to pay for a car of this caliber.
It's not a sports car, its actually a GT. This was a rather cursory review. You left out many features that make the car more desirable for someone who is looking for a GT (e.g. four wheel steering, limited slip differential, double wishbone aluminium front suspension, variable damping, six piston front brake calipers, variable ratio steering... etc etc).
I did not know Toyota made a V-8. I think my F150 3.5 eco-boost is faster than that car. I don’t like the fact that it has two different size wheels and tires..
Always wanted to own one of these but insurance for younger people is absolute horse shit. Perfect driving record with zero traffic warnings, tickets, or encounters, yet I still pay almost twice the amount of my dad who gets speeding tickets weekly.
I have the 2016 , stock , looks like yours , I drive it on some weekends it only has 20k miles , it is refreshing to drive after driving my 2022 corolla all week ...lol
