I didn’t want to extend so I told them that. And they were fine with it as I had enough results to graduate. They did ask if I wanted to extend but I insisted that I finish.
It's not necessary, but you should explain what you are interested in doing. it's good to have a proposal prepared though, because they might ask you for one

I think I'm too retarded to go to that school, I study computer science in school here in italy (I'm 17) and I struggle, I'm no where near the best students of my class, if I go to ETH it might be suicide.

WHAT FOR? I am unemployed 5 years after my PhD in LAW in Switzerland - I am the author of 8 books, more than 1200 citations, 4 degrees, fluent in 4 languages, a lot of connections and I am unemployed person! I applied for 2200 positions without any success.
