What degree is that hill? I have some 15+ degree hills you may have to drop it down a few. It's an intermediate class mountain bike trail called Simpson Park in Hemet, CA. My ebike is only 500 Watt/ 48V/12Ah. I have mine programed to throttle only mode so I can just very the throttle. Currently doing some mods to it so it can climb these hills with out overheating 😅
At least it's stubble. I usually use my biggest coil and crank up the sensitivity! I'll have to try the DP tone on my Equinox 900 next time. Subscribed! Nice job in getting Sponsors! I got an eBike sponsor on my channel too ;) I want to try and get a drone sponsor too as I've been fly RC planes and helicopters for over 40 years!
A lot of valuable information on this video Gaz. Should help those of us who are stubble bashing at this time of the year, with many farmers signing up to different schemes this year we may find these stubble fields will be left over winter, making searching much easier after frosts and rain. That said roll on ploughing 👍 😊
Greetings from 🇩🇰 I really miss the XY on the D2. I know it's there, but for some reason not as precise as the D1 🤔 Love both machines though running my favorite program TEKKNA on D2 and ULTIMATE on D1 🙂 Thanks Gray - I will try the PITCH on my next stubble hunt 😉
@@The-skillschool funny thing I met you 10 years ago when we both were staying at a hotel I think was called The Stag. you programmed the "hot" program into my Deus before it was included and also gave me a beta charging clip with larger pins. well both worked great. my hammered coin production immediately significantly increased. THANK YOU!
Is the deus 2 more noisy than the 1? I have the 1 and will not upgrade, but i will go for the Trippel score when i need a multi freq and waterproof machine
Awesome video as always Gary. Not had my D1 out for some time, but after watching your video, I’m dusting the old girl down and giving it a blast on the yellow stuff, you never know it might turn up a yellow coin. Thanks mate for sharing.
As always good sound advice from Gary , I always end up walking up and down them tractor tracks 😂 Them stubble fields are a lot of people’s nemesis , Are you still popping up to Krazy Horse it would be good to catch up over a coffee in there cafe 👍
Stubble.. Gotta love it :) I find that when it is a certain length it can stop you swinging by jamming the middle of the coil.. I often wonder if a simple flat cover on the bottom of the HF coil ( maybe made from an ice cream container lid) would be worth a try in stubble..
I've tried using other programs in the stubble on the Deus but always end up back on the hot program. Oddly, I like using the gold program with the ORX on the spiky stuff.
Good sound advice as usual Gary , Stubble is most people’s Nemesis , Are you still popping up to Krazy Horse ? Would be good to catch up over a coffee in there cafe 👍
Grazie
Greetings from Turkey. I would like to ask you a question. I am undecided between the 24x13 XP HF Elliptical Coil and the XP 9'' HF Coil for my XP Deus 1 device. Which do you think would be the most effective?
Thanks for your video Garry, I tried pitch several times and found very deep targets. you hear them but you don't see an ID yet. I would like to see the pitch available in several programs, such as Tekkna. That seems perfect to me, the combination of sensitivity and pitch.😊
I am planning to make metal detecting videos and I already have “Pocket 3” in my arsenal, and currently it’s out of my budget to buy brand new camera for shooting so this video was really helpful and informative for me! Thanks for your time and effort!
@@The-skillschool Have you ever tried to use chest mount for smartphone and record the metal detecting video? I am considering this as well but I haven’t seen yet anyone doing that.
Paul's Nero settings. Base program Deep HC. Tones : 2 Tone -202 -881. Reactivity 2. Square High Audio. More metal detecting videos on the Skill School channel. @The-skillschool
Hi Gary, I was using the Goldfield program today with the following settings I.A.R off, Audio response 1-2, Recovery 0, All notches off, Square tones, Sens 95-98. What lead me to end up at these settings was discovering that a piece of iron ringing up at 00-03 laid on top of a copper coin would still sound like iron with the I.A.R off, but would still give the VDI of the copper coin 86-88. As i believed the machine would still give me a VDI reading of a non-ferrous target next to ferrous, i was convinced that I could lower the response speed to 0 as I was no longer concerned about a ferrous target masking a non-ferrous one as I was hearing evvery signal I detected and not worrying about the machine recovering in time in-between. The lower Audio response gave me a better perception of depth and also helped reduce ground chatter as a result of the higher sens levels. I was digging some very deep targets, without being concerned about my sweep spead being too fast for the recovery setting as I was not discing or notching anything out. Just wondering your thoughts, am I making a mistake here? Cheers Antoni
