Great video. Real world stuff. Here in the States sometimes the only good signals left at the old hammered sites are mixed with iron. Like you said, having a look at those iffy tones can be rewarding. I mostly adjust my digging to my mood and energy levels. Thanks for the video and the great artwork!😂
Notching out the iron or lowering the iron volume will give a nice clean tone on misshaped and large deep iron. The way to dig less iron is to raise your iron volume high so you can identify the falsing iron tone. I do not mind digging some iron. Digging misshaped iron in a hotspot of nonferrous targets is "COIN FINDING WINNER MODE"
Gary,i noticed you said some people make the mistake of raising the discrim,,but the TEKKNA is running discrim at 42,and this is a program i'm enjoying using,as i find it lets me know when something is ferrous or non ferrous.
Love it Gaz, always somethng to learn from these vids mate... (Funny stuff too! ). Btw: Nice Vicky Shilling yesterday with TEKKNA! Smashing it mate... Thanks 🙏 as ever, Bob 👊
Nice one Gary! Great info. You missed your calling.. Watching you draw your hose based masterpiece was better than watching Bob Ross! It should be in the National Gallery
Wow, thank you Neil, perhaps I missed my calling and should have gone for a TV art carrier, rather than scratching around in a field looking for pieces of junk.
Very interesting information Gary! Depending where I'm at i like to dig the large iron out of a site just to see if it's making something good. I have definitely found some interesting iron pieces over the years!
Haha Luna likes to roll in the fox shite 😂 German Shepherd master trait 🤣 I always get a few bits of iron, sometimes you have to risk it. Great informative video mate and top notch artistry 🐴
Got my Deus 2 just before everything froze. Love your videos. You sound a bit like Baldrick, can you say, "I've got a cunning plan" in your next video?
Hi Gary. What software version are you running in your Deus 2? I just bought a Deus 2 and it has version 6 in it. Thinking about updating the software and was curious what version you prefer.
Hey Gary, I've just got the new Deus 11 & the wsa11. Well now what's your tutorial? It said when you turn off the remote the headphones as well as the coil turns off well. The coil turns off but the light on the WSA 11 stays flashing every 5 seconds. I went into the system. It is on auto. What must I do? I don't want the battery going flat so when I go to use it I've got no headphones. Please advise. Thanks Also on the Deus 1 which I have is my backup. I could change from horseshoe to XY and as your instructions noted, you do not have to save it. It would automatically save. I like using the XY system now. I've gone into settings on the Deus 11 and done the same thing but it's not saving. Every time I turn the remote off it loses that XY program and defaults to the horseshoe. Is that correct? Should that be doing that. Is there something I can do to make it default as I could do with the? Deus 1 please.
Gracias como siempre gary, hecho de menos tus videos enseñandonos los trucos del deus1.estaria,estaria bien hacer un video sobre profundidades entre en 1&2.fuerte abrazo desde asturias españa❤
Thanks for the informative video. I'm still a newbie and have struggled with this issue using my Minelab Vanquish 440. Some days, the signal jumps all over the place with low grunts and high squeals over the same patch of earth. Those kind of signals drive me nuts and it's often a struggle to know if it's worthwhile digging. I change the settings to jewellery mode to try and knock out any iron, but when i open it back up, sure enough the high pitched noises are discovered to be masking the iron grunts. Of course, they could be a silver coin lying next to a nail, but it's very frustrating. The Deus seems to separate the metal types more easily?
Thanks Russell, yes the Deus does a good job, I would suggest try to run in all metal with and Iron tone. Then judge the target size by lifting the coil while sweeping over a target. If you can still get it at 1ft, its probably not going to be a coin.
Awesome video as always Gary. Proper cave man drawing, or that’s missing is a spear haha. I’m afraid iron is a dig it or leave it thing, if I’m not getting many signals then in desperation I often dig the 50-50 signals, only to find it’s iron, still if you don’t dig you don’t discover. Thanks for sharing mate.
i dig every thing run the coil slow before vdi low to the ground so dont miss any thing deep cause digging hole today still have not found it yet just cant beleave the nokta leagion at 12 inchs runing m3 40 khz could be probably old pipe or coins in a jar since it is a old house from 1890 will see after digging that hole needed nap for 20 min
Bonsoir Gary, le plus souvent ce sont les ferreux profond qui sonnent bien et en creusant, le son devient grave.. mais il est difficile de savoir avant de creuser, des fois en baissant la réactivité le son devient grave.. merci Alex et toch
Love the drawing, I had a pen like that when I was in school. Gary I would love to have a copy of that. My email is on my about page. I normally don't dig much iron, so that is cool I must be doing something right LOL. Great info as always. Thanks for sharing. You help make my hunts more knowledgeable.
I think rejecting a small nail would be enough for most site, (6.4 - 6.8) if you are using an XP in factory dettings, also having an Iron tone really helps. If it is a Deus 2 with the Tekkna program discrimination at 42 will give good information.
ILL TAKE A COPY OF THE HORSES ASS !! THATS HOW I FEEL WHEN I GET FOOLED ON A PICES OF IRON. but as we all know it happens to the best of us. Crack on Mate!
I was cringing as you started down the path of the lady horse, but I was needlessly worried. You clarified your equine gendering in alignment with DEI guidelines... 🤣
