I’m a simple man. I see Pokémon content including Paul, I get excited, and I click! Loved this episode! It was great seeing Chloe find her resolve, and deciding to take on the Kanto Gym Challenge. But of course, my favourite thing about the episode is definitely the return of Brandon AND Paul! Glad some things haven’t changed TOO much 😈 It wouldn’t be Paul if he wasn’t still at least somewhat of a dick. At the same time though, his interactions with Ash are always a treat! My favourite thing about their reunion here, besides the reunion itself, would have to be both of them catching up, AND teaming up! After seeing them best TWO Regis alongside one another (without even needing to switch out either of their Pokémon), their bickering squabbles during the Heartrome Tag Tournament frankly feels like ancient history. I also like how Paul becoming a Gym Leader was kept in this story! Who knows? Maybe somewhere along the line, whether he’ll be the Gym Leader of the Viridian Gym or not, Chloe will encounter him as the Gym Leader of a Gym. If Paul DOES become the Viridian Gym Leader in Kanto, and if Chloe’s still trying to find her rhythm battling with Grookey, or Rillaboom, Paul would probably notice something’s up, because Paul’s been there as well, with Torterra and Infernape. If he doesn’t become the Viridian Gym Leader though, I can just as easily see him becoming a Gym Leader in Sinnoh, with a multi-type team perfect for preparing his challengers for the Pokémon League, especially potentially the Elite 4 and Cynthia. He has the perfect roster of Pokémon to prepare them for the Sinnoh Elite 4, and the Sinnoh Champion. But for the benefit of this take on Journeys, I think the Viridian Gym works best in this rewrite’s storyline.
This was an excellent episode! I am glad that Chloe is taking on the Kanto Gym Challenge and that Ash got to reunite with Brandon, Lily, Gladion, and Paul. I still wish that Ash had a massive training session with his greatest rivals (Gary, Paul, Kiawe, and Gladion) in order to face Lance, Cynthia, and Leon.

Now for more questions, I’ve honestly got like infinite questions at this point about this series😅, i just hope this series succeeds: 1) when is the 3 and final season of the pokemon journeys rewrite releasing? 2)Can you get an artist, like say LHZUR or Thiago sinaz, to draw a png of ash as 18 years old while wearing the journeys outfit for your JN rewrite episodes and thumbnails? 3) since this series is giving ash and Pikachu a sense of conclusion the OG journeys series didn’t have, will it also give a sense of conclusion to Jessie, James and meowth from team rocket?
Paul did use that word at least once though, when Ash’s Turtwig evolved into Grotle. He said that if Ash tries to push Grotle to do something it can’t do through blind faith, then Ash is no better than any lowlife loser trainer out there, because he can’t understand just how much Grotle has changed. Only in this video, Paul didn’t mean it maliciously here. Truth be told, that one time in the anime where Paul pretty much called Ash a loser stung WAY more than any of the dozen times Gary said it to Ash.
hey Zanolith there something I wanna meaning to ask you, during the rewite journeys in Sinnoh and Hoenn I was thinking about a new set of Ash's teams in case if you rewrite them, in case of Ash's Hoenn team my suggestion is... 1. Pikachu 2. Swellow 3. Sceptile 4. Crawdaunt 5. Camerupt 6. Flygon the reason why I pick 2 new pokemons it's because I honestly don't like Torkoal since it has most losts and few wins and as for Glalie is something else but for me I would Ash to have strongest fire type pokemon like Camerupt since it looks tough and that the fact ash caught it on a Numel ranch where Ash helps a Numel and Ash encourage Numel to stop Team Rocket then later Numel suggest that he would like to travel with Ash and then Ash catch it and then sooner or later it evolves into a Camerupt. As for Flygon I chose this pokemon because it is like amazing dragon type pokemon aside Salamence, and the fact in the Izabe Island where a Trapinch encounter Ash and then bites him it's Trapinch likes him (which is would be hilarious) and the soon as a group of Trapinch evolves into Vibrava, a Vibrava the one who bites Ash still would like to travel along with him and Ash finally captures it, also in a couple of days later right after the Hoenn league and went to Kanto and battling the battle frontiers that is when Vibrava finally evolves into Flygon. also I obviously would like Corphish evolves into Crawdaunt so that it will be Ash's fully evolved teams in the Hoenn region. And secondly I would suggest that grovyle evolves into sceptile before the Hoenn league like during the 8th gym battle against Juan and his Milotic. As for Sinnoh my suggestion is of Ash's team is... 1. Pikachu 2. Staraptor 3. Torterra 4. Floatzel 5. Infernape 6. Garchomp quite similar as the official series except Gliscor it's because I don't like him either but however in my suggestion Ash still captures Starly, Turtwig, Buizel (which ash actually caughts it instead of trade), and Chimchar like in a canon but as for Gible, I suggest Ash caught a Gible earlier instead of a late season, like after the 5th gym battle against Fantina, a mad Gible munches a park and the gang are looking for that Gible, so when Ash finally found Gible, Gible is actually desperate it's because the original trainer of Gible abandoned him it's because his draco meteor is totally useless that it wants to become stronger like Cynthia's Garchomp and the fact is that Gible is a big fan of her's so when Ash calms that little guy they encountered Team Rocket and then Ash begs Gible to help Pikachu, so once Gible finally learn how to use draco meteor properly Ash ask Gible to travel along with him so he will became stronger like Garchomp. then couple of days later Gible finally saw his former trainer which the trainer is mad believing that Gible has been following him but Ash confronts the trainer for a battle to see how Gible is become stronger, so during the battle between Ash vs the trainer and Gible vs a strong Garchomp, Gible is about feel seeing his former is so disappoint but then Gible manage to stand up and then evolves into Gabite which Ash and Gabite wins against Garchomp that the former runs away of embarrassment and that Gabite feels happy for it, then one day on Sinnoh League on the 16th round Gabite manage to get back up feeling abit but then later Gabite finally evolves into Garchomp and then win for next round. Also for Floatzel like Corphish evolve into Crawdaunt I really thought Buizel should've evolve since he has lots of battles and wants to become stronger like Crasher Wake's Floatzel.
This just got pointed out to me, and now I'm confused. Was there anything in the XY rewrite which kept Serena's crush on Ash? If not, then why are there amourshipping moments in this one? It kinda comes out of left field because there's not any build up
Awesome sauce! Chloe getting grookey. Although I’m disappointed ash didn’t get it but it’s fine. Paul and Brandon here was legend! Same goes for peony. And the heartwarming reunion for Lillie,s family with mohn, that’s ultra wholesome.👍🤩🤟
So Lillie caught Alolan Vulpix (a.k.a. Snowy) during her family quest and evolved it into Alolan Ninetales which is unexpected, but the scene where Lillie reunites with her father (who suffered from amnesia) is such an emotional family moment and Gladion now has a shiny Nihilego on his team. I can't wait for the next video where Ash reunites with his Alolan family and friends (please make Mallow feel more appreciated and loved by her classmates), but its sad that Goh won't be visiting Alola at this time around.

I like this one. It’s rare I actually can say that with no real issue. The idea of Chloe trying the Gym Challenge *and* getting Grookey was certainly a big twist. We have an explanation for the Space-Time Distortion that makes sense in the anime world, and it also makes sense for Paul to get a Hisui Pokémon. Plus, Paul wanting to pass on his knowledge by becoming a Gym Leader is an interesting add-on to Paul becoming a Gym Leader in the anime. Lillie having Alolan Ninetales is an interesting refresh on Snowy, and the Mohn story having the same conclusion is perfectly fine this time. And the set-up for the return to Alola is nice, too. I hope the next episode can be interesting, too.
