Hey, hi, hello! I'm Laura and I am a writer. I am watching anime as a hobby, but also as a research for my books, and I thought it would be fun to bring you all along. Thanks for stopping by!
thank you for your reactions! to explain some of the military dynamics since you seemed a bit confused about it: lt tsurumi leads a group that has basically gone rogue from the rest of the military. they haven't defected and are still part of the greater 7th division, but they're acting independently. there will be a lot more explained about lt tsurumi's motivations later on, but he has basically collected a band of soldiers who are fiercely loyal to him over the central govt (hence why upon receiving an order to shoot lt tsurumi, the soldier shot the man giving the order instead) and he has more power than his station might suggest because of his powers of persuasion and how intimidating he is. so the only people aware of what sugimoto and asirpa are doing are lt tsurumi and his men, not the higher ups. hope this helps!
The Ainu are not indigenous to Japan. The indigenous people of Japan are the Jomon people. Do not believe those who lie about the Ainu being indigenous to Japan.
were gonna wait another couple of months for the next episode XD, im born to a place without snow so i dont really know about the icicle, i just think that if there's still icicle it could mean that the bear is still hibernating and itll break icicle if it came out, or there no bear in the hole to begin with

Yay! A Scottish person! Or at the very least you've lived here a long time, unless I'm mistaken. 😂 Anyway... this does goes give some insight regarding his personality - perhaps not necessarily controlling and narcissistic in the traditional sense but more akin to a comforting behaviour that masks a deeper insecurity. Really good anime.
You who have seen the first episode should watch the music video of the theme song, yoasobi "IDOL". you will understand why the music is structured this way, why the visuals are designed like this, and why the lyrics are the way they are. There is also an official English version. The remarkable aspect of this seemingly unnatural English translation is that it not only matches the sounds of the Japanese language but also aligns with the meaning of the story. In many cases, it matches the sound of the beginning and the end of the lyrics. Moreover, after listening to the Japanese version several times, when you listen to the English version, there are parts where it sounds like Japanese despite being in English. ENG"That emotion melts"=JPN"daremoga mewo" and ENG"Completely deny"=JPN"kanpekijanai" etc
Nice to meet you, I am Japanese. A minor but masterful anime is ”Skip and Loafer”. The story begins when a pure country high school girl moves to Tokyo. She falls in love with a mysterious boy. The realistic relationships are interesting. It is sure to make you laugh and warm your heart. 🤩
