The worst part about the Fern Hollow Bridge collapse is that that bridge was built in 1970, BY FAR not close to the oldest bridge in town. Many date to the 1920s and 1930s, Hell the Smithfield Street Bridge is from the '80s... The 1880s!
I love Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities. People are friendly, sports, arts, the schools (except for city) are some of the best in the country. The weather is much warmer than it was when I was a kid and we have more clear days. Winters have been mild over the past few years
What kind of sales person are you? Who the H... badmouths their product? Do you live here? We have a vibrant arts community [theater, world class symphony, museums, opera, ballet]. Pollen yes -from trees and flowers. Visitors from other cities can't believe how green the area is [ we aren't The Smokey Old Town any more] But you probably don't know anything of Pittsburgh's history. I wouldn't buy ice water from you if I was in the desert. Sorry to be whinny but I need to defend my home.
when you travel some times can be back to back traffic some thimes hardly any one on the road i have gotten lost in Pittsburgh even with a gps when there like sings and you have split second to go from one lane to another i will say last time i was in Pittsburgh every one was speeding going about 20 miles over the limit they will get it better roads bridges wet basements can be fixed if you have the money to do so inspections to get there are many you can get check for gas leaks insulation inspection electric inspection terracotta pipes do work the metal and plastic pipes a another thing to get tested is the ground soil to make sure it is not toxic best to get a whole home inspection that covers everything inside and out the new houses are nice i would rather get something older with a bigger yard and just up date it
Pittsburgh is a working class city. Not sure why we got to be like other cities yes business close early probably cause are public transportation does not run 24/7. Just saying
You can tell she's from Pgh by the way she says "eggspecially" instead of especially. Ugh, I'm a Pittsburgher who finds the accent very jarring and harsh to the ear.
Ive lived here all my life i cannot stand the port authority busses ugh friendly city? Lol yeah right... Wexdo not speak like this maybe many years past but not today. We do say red up for clean up but grocery shopping never heard buggy hear basket or shopping cart... No yens honestly maybe past years but not hearing words your saying. Weather upsets us due to lousy weather people rarely right... They give 10 day forecast but cannot get weather right today😮 i still get lost GPS cannot get it right....our streets are like an amusement park ride they are a mess! We do have country in city living. Primanti ugh gave it 3 chances to eat yuk 3 strikes primanti brothers OUT!
I Hate looking at those houses at least they are not brown anymore plus who want to spend a million dollars on a townhouse, let alone next to an industrial park and highway
I’m originally from Pittsburgh, I moved my Family to Denver 10 years ago and after the inflation the last few years I Decided I’m moving back and getting out of expensive Colorado. I wonder how many others like me are trying to return home and are causing this houses market to go up. Interesting stuff.
10 yrs ago we decided that we wanted to leave city life (Philly). We wanted to find a home with a little bit of property. There was no way we could afford something like that in the southeastern part of PA. We noticed that the further west in PA we looked, the more affordable the homes were. We ended up finding exactly what we were looking for about an hour outside of Pittsburgh. It was priced as such that we could even buy it for cash. Southwestern PA has so much to offer as far as real estate is concerned. I highly recommend. Pro Tip: In addition to Pittsburgh metro, Johnstown is another of SW Pennsylvania’s best kept real estate secrets.
The microphone belongs closer to your mouth and further away from the camera. I’m not exactly sure why you think that having a large microphone in frame is a better result than having clear audio. Pro tip: fix that for your next video. It’s hard to watch when it’s hard to hear.
@@livinginpittsburghpennsylvania Good to hear . . . no pun intended, but there is nothing wrong with the equipment, physics dictates that the farther away from the source the less signal to noise it will pick up. A far away mic will hear more room reflections, have a higher noise floor. You can post process the audio, but that will remove some quality to eliminate the distractions and is an extra unnecessary step. Scoot that mic closer, and problem solved 😉
i am from pittsburgh, and was just back there in mid june. they shaved all the hilltops off for the last 30 years and built condos on them and rich houses. well it seems to me that they are running out of hill tops. by the way they never expanded the local roads for all these new people that live there now. look out for left hand turn lanes bleeding into the left lanes. i seen 2 rear enders in 10 days back there. also there are dead animals all over the roads. it is nice and green back there but i could never move back. it can take you 30 minutes to go 5 miles.
