Ive no idea if marvel comics should reboot.. but the MCU should DEFINITELY reboot after or even before secret wars What I will say though is I like some of the new ultimate universe ideas, not all of them (the doom plot and the avengers don't resonate with me at all I'm 50/50 on black panther (him being married to okoye is.. hmm) But if they reboot they should do what they always do and copy DC.. streamline the heck out of the 616 timeline (&no I don't mean synergise with the MCU either 🙄) then establish the Ultimate universe as it's own thing akin to absolute DC Move Miles Morales over to that universe have him be the one and only ultimate Spider-Man over there, not a legacy not an inherited role, just an alternate Spider-Man who has his own origins, maybe alter his origin a tad, have his dad be afro Latino and his mom afro american so they can retcon that GODAWFUL racist naming gaff bendis put in miles origin first time round Have Hickman quarterback the universe to get it on its feet or let him have full control as repayment for screwing him over with Power of X Transplant a version of his new ultimate Spider-Man over to 616 (beard, married to MJ a daughter named mayday...... Basically make him ITSV ATSV parker I guess) As for 616 pick a lane, either stick with the new guys (captain samerica shuri black panther riri iron heart etc) Or go full status quo, this umm ahhing Inbetween back n forth BS doesn't work.. two captain America's (in the same universe) doesn't work, never has, because one will always suffer. Just pick a lane and stick with it .
Sal you and Tiffany are the reason I got back into reading comics again. Hyping up Tom King's runs is the reason I started reading DC. Gotham City was great, and I am about to start Penguin because of how much you continue to be impressed by it.

I believe the suit is black because black absorb all spectrum of light so a being who is powered by light would benefit from the extra absorption. Atleast that's the thought. 45:06 Agree to this so much! It IS a bleak story. And I definitely did not like it. I'd even go back as far as Bendis' Illuminati story where they blew up a Skrull spaceship killing a bunch of them. They just keep wanting to turn the heroes into villains/ monsters for some reason. Ugh.

I literally told him when I met him at BCC to keep coming on the channel because I wouldn't have picked up half of these books without him promoting it on here or you embracing them Sal. Im now a Tom King STAN. You guys have crazy good chemistry too. Always fun to listen to He was a lovely dude and drew a little doodle for my friend and played along with our buffoonery. It was super fun and im glad i went.
15:00 You can say that again. I've just read Countdown for the first time last month. It was awful and not worth the price I paid... which was nothing because my friend lend me his copy he bought way back when.
These are the best interviews, also I pitched Tom King a GL team up book with John and Hal in the style of Samurai Champloo in a comment on this channel a few years back and now he's writing the GL show, I find it soo cool
