I saw Aubrey Plaza and thought this was going to tie into Legion somehow. And that's the second time Agatha has tricked me into thinking something X-Men-related was involved.
I’m with sal the thing marvel needs to lean into is making each franchise feel it’s own, with the cinematography and sound, then you can use those elements in the cross over/ avengers films for big pops(crowed cheers)
Yeah, I was not at all interested in this show, and I still don't know if it will be good or if I'm even the audience for it, but it at least has some things in it that got me intrigued. I can't believe they went forward with it, and now it's here and I'm not hating it already, so that's at least one step in the right direction.
It looks more fun than I expected it to be. I don't think that's Wanda really there, she "died" in freaking Wondagore ,she isn't going to end up in the middle of a forest near Westwood randomly. I think that's all part of the magical block Agatha is on somehow. Katherin Hahn made the role and earned this chance of developing this new story beyond being based on Marvel characters, so this can be a good show without being heavily tied to the comics lore. Also fitting ending for this video with Tiffany laughing loudly 😁
The only thing about this that interests me and makes me want to watch is to find out what they're doing with Billy and find out how they're reintroducing the twins with their powers.
Clip said the witch who did this is gone. As opposed to dead. An important distinction. Also, the Wanda corpse was part of Agatha's induced delusions. Again, no guarantee the corpse is real, is Wanda, or is this reality's Wanda. Lastly, Jennifer Kale is one of the coven. Jennifer has importance to the nexus of realities in the comics.
haven't been paying attention to trailers, I can't believe they're actually going through with the Agatha show - when it was declared they'd be paring down their content, I thought this would be the first to go. That said, this looks like there's some genuine effort and intentionality going into the show, so I'm actually curious to see what Marvel's gonna do with it
"all of these are mini-movies" .. I dunno I would consider them Maxi-Movies now. They are so cinematic, but you get 6-10 hours for the story to play out.
They are not very cinematic and you are lucky to get 4 hours with 30 minute episodes. You do not get that many hours with Disney+ shows. The first 4 episodes of House of the Dragon are over 4 hours and The Acolyte with 6 episodes is not even at 3 hours.
@@DanV900the acolyte is absolutely a maxi movie. After this weeks episode I can say for a fact if cut down they could have released it as its own movie and it would have flowed better
My guess is it’s either more Darkhold, or if they go with the montesi formula (spelled those wrong) it could lead in to blade, just finished the brood saga epic collection and if Dracula comes into the mcu i wouldn’t be against it (annual 6, x-men was cool)
Wasn't interested. Watching the trailer made me more intrested. Love Witches. Toward the end it did feel they were going to add the Marvel humor. Which felt like conflicting tones, but I hope it is better then expected. I would like to see more Witch media.
The word I use for ‘expensive but bad’ is corporate. Something that FEELS like a mass-produced product. SO polished, SO clean, SO clearly lacking in imperfections that it also lacks flavor and uniqueness that it feels like it came off a conveyor belt. It LOOKS like something that went through 100 layers of corporate marketing red tape to be as mass-appealing and digestible as possible. That’s not to say that it’ll be garbage. It’ll likely be good. But it’ll lack the spice to make it great because ‘that wouldnt appeal to the 25-35 demographic that doesn’t like spice’
4:51- As a Marvel employee, This statement is wildly false. This is the 1st show that was put on the docket for release for this ENTIRE year, and it is the 2nd show that has been released this entire year. It also is a follow up to the highest rated, and most viewed show out of the Original 5. The other 2 projects for this year were moved to pending (although there release will probably still occur). This show is not “set up” for one season at Halloween. Every character on that screen is from the comics including Billy. Depending on how the show is reacted to, it has connections for another season. Any continuation of the Wandavision story will be placed in front of ANY OTHER STORY LINE, the audience reaction is too strong to ignore. There is also a show in production around Vision, it is unnamed (it was VisionQuest but that idea has been scrapped), the new show is set to premiere in May ‘26.

Agatha did become Scarlet's mentor. So this could be the beginning of that. It was highly speculated that Wanda would return. This is how they could do it. Honestly, I don't see any other reason for an Agatha show.
The whole thing where they kept changing the title wouldn't really have worked if the MCU weren't in such a confusing time and half the other stuff wasnt getting new names too. I still wonder if that was intentional AT ALL honestly
Anyone who read the Alias MAX series would've been interested in a Jessica Jones show. She's a fan-favourite character. Agatha Harkness however? This show only got made because the 'Agatha All Along' song went viral... And that was FOUR years ago!!!
@@PirateJacques79 I don't think the song is the only reason. Agatha was a very popular character, and elevated past the comic book realm by a fantastic performance by Hahn. That's not to say the show will be perfect, nothing truly is. Also, Jessica Jones was unknown in comparison to any of the other Defenders, and she was given a much larger audience by the show than any of the comics could have reached.
Who was clamoring for an Ant Man movie? Or Guardians of the Galaxy? If there’s one thing the MCU is good at it’s taking B or C list characters and making them fan favorites. You could have put Iron Man in this category at one point.
I enjoy most of the things Aubrey Plaza does and she seems to be a bit more picky about what she does so thats a reason for me to be exited for it. The "Marvel" look I think is a bit overblown, to me the issue has been weak scripts being pushed out to get a product out.
It really does feel like more people were interested in this trailer reaction than the show itself. Besides a small number of Twitter Marvel diehards I’ve not heard a single mention of this show since it was announced.
Since it wasn’t actually “Agatha All Along” in Wandavision, thanks to rewrites, they should have called it “The Boner Files.” Such a waste of talented actresses….
Tbh I still think that logic is kinda dumb. Why did we need an Andor show? Why did we need a Peacemaker show? They both turned out to be very good, despite no one asking for them. Now that being said, I have no clue if this show will be good, but I was always kinda interested in it, as it feels like they needed to have an idea before Marvel would greenlight it.
Agatha became a fan favorite after WandaVision, but I believe this shows main purpose is to introduce Billy (Wiccan), taking us another step closer to the Young Avengers movie.

I think its lame and corny that theyre using a portion of a song quote as the shows title. Was that really the best way for yall to make people care about this show that was obviously greenlit as a kneejerk reaction.
At the end of WandaVision, Wanda trapped Agatha into Agnes persona but this Détective doesn't even seems to be Agnes untill Aubrey Plaza's character comes in. I wouldn't be surprise if SOMEHOW Wanda used some of her powers to put Agatha on the lead of her corpse so that she can be brought back at the end of the Witche's Road. Wanda would be back and Agatha could take her own true power stolen by Wanda instead of using another source of magic.
