Great video. I have 2 x V6 Calibras here in the UK and need to do this as they have been sat for 2 to 3 years. Need to drop tank, drain fuel, check hoses, and check pump. If the lid hasn't corroded too much, it can be taken down to bare metal and resealed to repair the existing one, as i made a similar repair some years ago!

Hey on the buttons work and onboard computer show aux when you watch movies and radio also works like they should.About the language i cant tell because the car is 140 km from where i live,but i think ot supports it.its like a normal android then i think it can be changed.
@@TheMeisner87 The old car looks much more modern with many more functions than the original. my car is a Ford Smax 2012 Titanium S, I hope it will work without any problems. I just saw your other video about how everything works, which you uploaded later. absolutely amazing! I will buy this device. Hey cupholder and console light have different lighting.Cupholder only has 2 wires broken.If your console lights dont work then there is a led that needs to be replaced.
The seller where i bought it is not selling it anymore. But this seller has the same specs. Mine is android 9.0 and 64g 4g a.aliexpress.com/_EwYrJdT It has rca connection behind the screen and you can put any aftermarket reversing camera there.When you put your gear to reverse then it activates.
How does the sound quality compare to ford's own system. Where would you put the external mic if you don't already have it fitted do all functions work regardless of connectivity
Hi, great video. I have some questions if you could answer please? I got the same radio for my s max but I have android 12 on mine. My s max is titanium x sport and it seems it doesn't work with OEM parking sensors. What did you do to fix the parking sensors if possible? I've tried going in the settings and turning them on but that didn't work for me. Also do you know if its possible to update the android unit or factory reset it? Mine asks me for a pin code and the seller on Aliexpress just ignores me :(, thanks.
Hey thank you.I didn’t had problems with the sensors.Pin should come from the seller.Write him that if you wont answer i will put an additional review and tell everything whats bad and put it very low.They usually are afraid of such comments.
Thank you I am going to have the parking sensors looked at today. I have contacted the seller and they are just ignoring me. I've opened a dispute with AliExpress and they have also refused to help and said to contact the seller. I don't really know what else to do. I've shown them all the video, photos and chat logs with the seller :(
@@TheMeisner87 just checked and sensors are all fine including the wiring. Issue i found is that the old unit (OEM Sony) the sound was coming from the head unit and not the speakers. So with this one it doesn't and now I either need to retrofit new sensors or buy a product called b-3674212-pdc to connect to OEM sound to the speakers. FYI I don't recommend fitting this for titanium x sport model I had to cut inside to make this unit fit. Was really a pain lol. I think this unit best fits pre facelift models.
@@TheLegendMuz ok it seems there are differences.Mine was plug and play.Everything is working from the beginning.I didn’t need to cut anything like you saw from the video and its also titanium,but maybe yes there are differences between pre and facelift.
Hello, I would like to install to S-Max 04-2012. Do you think that could be used existing gps antenna? It looks like that there is also slot for 4G card, so there could be internet also via this. I have just front and rear sensors, no camera. It shall work after installation right? Thank you.
First check is your climate and multimedia part separate.There have been situations where they are together and then you cant use your climate,because climate panel must stay behind the screen.You must use the antenna what comes with the unit.My unit didn’t have the 4g card place.Maybe newer have that option.i had rear and front sensors also and i just added the camera.

wow you are VERY courageous !!!! good job ! I also have this same interior ! A8 2013 4.0TT ... my light on the cupholder is also out...I am amazed there is no other way to get to those wires but to dismantle the entire console !!! and more !!!! I guess you reseached this before doing all this work. I would love to be able to get to them from the console/lid only...
Thank you for the kind words.I like that interior more special then just black.I bet most of the A8 D4 have that same problem because the wires are so thin.Sadly you cant get the wires out other way.I hope you can fix yours also with that video.🙂
How did you manage to remove the instrument cluster so easily? Do you have to unhook the speed cable from the transmission first? I can't seem to remove my instrument cluster
V6 dont have a cable for the transmission.It has a wire connection.I remember when i worked on my previous calibra then the cable has a stopper so you need to push it towards the speedo with your fingers and then it comes off.I know there is not much room there,but if you remove it one time then it’s easier.
