Well, they all become the same after a while tbh, as in it always revolves around using Strategize. I do have a few ideas in mind but they probably wouldn't be fun to watch.
Masakado is an absolute beast with critical zealot and murderous glee (recalcitrant execution is all you need... charge, double luster candy and impaler's glory... bam... 20k+ damage easily) Konohana sakuya, stole idun's spot and became best healer/buff support..(her also regening mp is a massive plus) Beelzebub, minus his sexism, is the best debuffer and has crazy good resistances for multi element coverage, Cleopatra is your gal... you don't even need debilitate on her, Frolic works just fine + high affinity to wind, light and ice Mephisto, the multi element tank + high affinity to fire and dark the Qadistus : they are all excellent for their role (Agrat with queen's decree is the crit fiend, lilith the leader as the tank, also mother earth for tanking, naamah is an excellent support who can decently tank... and i don't like eisheth (even tho she is good phys hitter... but others are way better) Shiva... can't say no to best husband and has great resistances...bit overshadowed but he's good Mastema... annoying bastard, but has great resistance. with 3 repels, crime and punishment alone makes him top tier... pair with nuwa and yoshitsune to literally have infinite press turns as for nahobino... i ran 2 builds murakumo, both almighty pleromas, charge, enduring soul, critical zealot, murderous glee, inflaming divinity other build murakumo, paraselene blur, high light and high almighty pleroma, elusive eclipse, murderous glee, crtical zealot, enduring soul (alilat with donum gladi to cover the charge)
Im assuming you're using freikugal instead of Recalcitrant execution on masakado coz of MP cost? Another option i would propose would be to put high restore instead of freikugal to bring down the cost of Recalcitrant execution by 20. It would still cost 69 mp but maybe it would be enough to get you through the fight fast enough that you wouldn't need to use soma?
Low MP cost + high crit chance for turn generation. Against level 999 enemies, I have around 16% chance to crit with Recal against 36% with Freikugel (and that's assuming they have an average of 750 Luck.) While the MP cost is annoying, Recal's issue really is the non-increased crit rate, which is also why I don't like using Murakumo. Recal is better on Critical turns, although I use it only with buffs on, so the damage becomes worth spamming it.
@@takyjoy2461 You watched all of it? Dayum, thanks! Yeah, if there's a hardtype of the game someday, these strats will definitely be helpful, so I'm glad people enjoy this kind of content.
There's one in Odaiba, at the top of the bridge on the very west side. It's annoying to get but it's the only spot I remember, sorry. watch?v=PGg1Jrxrdlg (this is the video ID.)
Is it possible to do lv999 fights without grinding to Max stats? I’m curious if doing lv100 virtual trainer bosses at lv99 (pre-godborn) is comparable to superbosses like Shiva and Demi-fiend.
At least to the 800s and 999 vit for the last couple bosses (like Lucifer.) No, they should still be easier than superbosses at level 100 because they retain their usual patterns. Plus, True Lucifer is literally level 99, so level 100 hardly matters.
The starts still vastly differ (I think True Masakado still has double regular Masakado's HP, and about a 100-point difference in each stat.) Aside from that, still the Press Turn count, from 5 to 7.
Thanks, i’m curious if fights are really harder or only stats sponges. In virtual trainer battles is there a strategical difference from lv100 to 999 or it’s only more hp and stats?
@@galvusgalvoid1510 It's mainly sponges and enemies using Omagatoki: Pierce instead of Critical, mainly. Same for Challenges, except Challenge Mode gives one extra press turn to every fight, turning some into nightmares, like Tsukuyomi.
So it’s possible to refight bosses at higher levels individually and not only in the boss rushes? Do you think vengeance (excluding virtual trainer) is easier than the original considering the changed level scaling and the added gifts/boosts from Demon haunt and the innate skills?
Only in a boss rush, unfortunately. I gave up on doing Lucifer No Damage legit because each attempt would mean 15+ min of me fiddling with 2 nahobino fights beforehand. That's kinda bad design on the ATLUS team's end. I haven't played the original but Innate Skills alone make it much easier than the original version.
@@galvusgalvoid1510 That's the point: most of these can also be counteracted, and you usually have 4 demons, which means more synergy on your own end. Nocturne (and 4) are definitely much harder than Vengeance.
@kaiserkreuz2110 I’ve seen a lot of people say that godborn is just grindy and not really more difficult than base game strategy-wise. I thought normal demi-fiend or his godborn version would remain the most complex fight in the game.
@@galvusgalvoid1510 Godborn isn't that much complicated yeah, the main difference is that enemies run on Omagatoki: Pierce instead of Critical. Level 999 bosses though have Pierce and one additional Press Turn.
This is the first battle I was able to get to 999 on. Khonsu is always the worst one for me because of how insanely bulky he is (note I do not have max stats)
Tehom's theme is a vibe! Perfect evolution of Yoko's theme. An ancient desire for freedom, for destruction, for chaos: the primordial soup from which all came to be.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 they're so amazing LMAO, after playing through Vengeance and coming to this video, it just hits home. Atlus cooked so good in 2024, SMTVV is definitely my goty.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I enjoyed vanilla SMT V so much, like it was a big part of gaming for me, alongside the franchise in general. When they revealed SMTVV in that direct, I could not stop jumping with joy at work, I'm looking forward to their future releases too, I cannot stop talking about this game
@@skydivisionx I haven't played Vanilla, but the general consensus is Vengeance added so much more to the table, to the point it's barely the same game. When you see what tech (cheesy or not) is possible, it's wild af. Like, I managed to OTK a boss with 500k+ HP on Hard jsut because of some of these crazy mechanics.
Loup-garou is goated. I always wanted to use him, but is easily outclassed outside of this kinda use. At least he's still a much viable choice for Godborn Masakado.
the uhhh text at the start is probably a leftover from your superboss video. it states that this video contains all superbosses found in the canon of vengeance route.
Damn, what a journey. I couldn't make it to the last few streams sadly, but its always nice to have videos up. Congrats on clearing theae! I checked some comments and saw you say that you'll play the Yakuza games? I'll try to be there for those, I have one ending on CoC to get and then just do the virtual trainers on the next run. Thanks foe the advice for before by the way. 🙏
Thanks! Yeah this was a slog towards the end, so you didn't miss much. Yeah, i'll be doing some of the PS3 games cuz why not. Good luck on the platinum,a dn you're welcome for the advice!
Girimekhala, Rangda and Mother Harlot for the protag (Mother Harlot is the best one with all the other resistances), and (SPOILER) Fallen Abdiel for passing the skill to other demons via fusion and essence. Also Serpent Nuwa has Drain Phys for fusion and essence too.
Thanks a lot, and for sticking with me. Was fun talking with you! I'm probably gonna stream next week or something: either game dev shenanigans or Yakuza games. I have a dozen versions left to play (mainly Japanese and Chinese versions of games, hoping to be able to learn how to read important characters with them, like how I learned quite a few hiragana and katakana with the original Digimon World: next 0rder version.) Feel free to ask stuff about SMTV if you need my input, though. If I don't forget to read the comments, I'll reply.
It was a pleasure talking to you, too. Thanks for all the advice and such. I still have a lot to learn, but I'll get there as long as I'm enjoying the game and not getting frustrated 👌 Edit: And I'm looking forward to your later streams. School will begin for me soon, so Idk how often I can show up, but I'll see what I can do
Yeah lol. I wanted to start Ender Lilies, but I've been busy today (and physically tired) so idk if I'm gonna play any game until the end of the week, let alone stream. Might go back to the Yakuza games in braindead fashion (since the games are pretty easy and low-maintenance overall.)
yo is there any reason why you returned garou back to stock after attacking the first time? also, why didn't you have both mermaid and huang long in active party for both thunder reigns? just trying to understand the strat, thank you!
No problem, I'll explain it to you: Arahabaki has an insane Innate Skill: Affable Hospitality. It makes it so that any switched-in demon inherits all its effects, which is what makes Omagatoki: Strategize really busted, because Arahabaki also transfers that effect to any newly-switched ally, making infinite swithing/juggling possible. This is the reason why I didn't put Mermaid for the first Thunder Reign, because I needed Arahabaki for a second cast. The reason why I retracted Loup is because I needed Impaler's Glory (that is consumed after an attack) for the extra damage. I didn't do that for Artemis because I didn't need her to do any damage, she was just there to build Huang Long and Loup's innate damage multiplier. Hope this clears things up. Feel free to ask for more clarifications if needed, because I might've eluded some stuff without paying attention.
@@kaiserkreuz2110ahhhh yeah i got it now! it totally slipped my mind that impaler's is a one-use thing. just one more question though, is mermaid's pandemonic feast only active while she's in-party, or does it stick even when she's returned to stock?
Thanks! It was cathartic doing this, after all the grueling No Damage Trucifer attempts. If I get more ideas like these, I might do them as well. For now, time to take a break from the game (after uploading the Level 999 No Damage compilation.)
Thanks! Tbh I might stream some Yakuza later next week, Idk yet. Getting a setup for my PSVita (without jailbreak) is a pain and a half, so Cyber Sleuth will have to wait.
Silly french awoo boi deals more damage than literal gods. Oh btw, I managed to solo level 999 Agrat. Just throwing that here since I see you haven't completed the Shinjuku battles on Solo.
Silly woof woof vs Indestructible God! 👀 oh yeh I have a strat for it. I never used Luminescent in the early battles but I figure that makes her pretty easy I just was too lazy to go back and do if tbh lmao. Been burnt out and too busy with life stuff :(
Reminds me of that Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby meme lol. Well, still stole your first clear (although I used Items because I couldn't care less lol.) And yeah, same. It's time I hang up the towel, now that's I'm done with No Damage Level 999 bosses and this: I just made the game my bitch at this point lmao. I should focus on my own game projects and if I stream, maybe more chill games like some Yakuza titles lol.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 Yeh you have thoroughly destroyed the game lmaoo 😎 the goat Yeah idk how you do so many things back to back take a damn break lolll…. Then if you’re doing Episode Aigis/Metaphor you’ll be fresh to do it all over when they drop 👀👀
Thanks! You're a GOAT too, bro! I love breaking games down enough to have fun beyond the base mechanics. Thinking of redoing a low level run when all areas can be skipped, just to see where I can go lol. That's my ADHD brain lol. I hate boredom, I always have to do something or I'll go insane. That's also why I only now managed to put the controller down from Vengeance lol. I'll wait before touching Aigis/Metaphor. I might go back to the Yakuza franchise, cuz I really like even the most flawed games in that series, which is rare with how picky I've become.
Only because it's Tehom. Otherwise, possible on Satan if you're very lucky and can stack Dana's Wisdom with it thanks to Virus Carrier deaths filling up the magatsuhi bar without turn cost and then hit a weakness. But yeah, that's some insane stuff to think about, and I was skeptical until I actually made it work lol. Also first worldwide sub 10-min Level 999 Tehom clear speedrun gang let's goooooooo!
@@kaiserkreuz2110i wonder why throne's trait is for light damage, he strikes me as more of a fire guy and also his design is mostly black oh and belphegor and alice should switch traits lol
Wow so thats how you pull off the OTK on this behemoth. I learned a lot from this: 1. Tehom is actually Yoko with beefy stamina. I only realized as of late😅. 2. Ive seen some videos of Japanese players using Mermaid for her innate Pandemonic Feast to do OTKs DF for example) . I really love Mermaid due to her charming design and how good she is at the very early game for bosses, but I never know how good she can be in these super booses stuff. This makes me very happy and I'll definitely give her a try if needed. 3. How Huang Long's innate actually works 4. The more I watch, the more i realize how complex this game is, and it's quite fun yet also extremelt difficult for me. Not only am I not a super big JRPG player, but when it comes to strategy games like these, I still have a lot of learning with smtv. It definitely takes a ton of time and effort for me to do even remotely as good as what you guys do😢
1. Yeah, Yoko fused with whatever and became Tehom. 2. It can work with every Pandemonic Feast user, but Mermaid's a fan favourite, so we all take her. 3. Yeah, you gotta go to the SMT Fusion tool on Github to know how it actually works. 4. Innates add so much to the already complex gameplay. Now you can do stuff like this, which wasn't possible in vanilla and, contrarily to old Yakuza games and DMC, it doesn't require timing or input accuracy, which makes it easier to pull off, if you can plan it ahead. You don't have to be as good as us, just enjoy the game and play it at your own pace.
