I have always been a massive Star Trek fan, having every film released on either 4K or Standard Blu-Ray, the restored original series and TNG on Blu-Ray and an avid fan of fan made releases like the brilliant Star Trek Continues, Axanar and others. THIS production made with such love, outstanding acting, effects, music and writing, had me SO engaged in minutes that I literally forgot it was fan made and I kept waiting to see and hear the TNG cast enter a scene. I am so impressed and happy to have finally come across this masterpiece. Bravo.

I am hoping the rumors are true-Paramount sells the Trek franchise-Perhaps then the new owner will allow full length fan films. Maybe that is wishful thinking. Realistically I would otherwise hope the new owner would bring on board some of the better fan films . Great stories CAN come from fans of the show. Paramount says not so but they are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice and fitting story for Star Trek. Normally, with a fan film you have to kind of shrug off some inexperience with the actors, but here that thought didn't cross my mind.
There's a lot to compliment here from top to bottom, but holy crap the score is perfect. Everything from the instrumentation to the timing is absolutely perfect. If I were just listening to this, it would be indistinguishable from a televised episode of TNG.
@TheNeonParadox Ah, thank you! I gathered as many TNG, DS9 and Voyager pieces as I could and spent a lot of time blending and mixing them together to fit our story beats. It was time consuming, but fun! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. Good point, but we were very careful to write it so the Doctor would not give anything away. He would be very aware of not breaking the temporal directive even more than he already had.
looks like you rounded up every good looking actor and actress in Britain who wanted to be in Trek... nice to hear all the parts done with a British accent... production values look great , the script is excellent, story is excellent , everyone can actually act,....rivals the real TNG..... great job...

Wow just discovered this !! What an amazing film , wish they had given you quys the money they paid to make " Discovery and SNWs" (: I would defiantly pay to watch this. Sets Acting all amazing Sad about loosing the Cmdr though :(

I'm a little late but, I just watched this 30 minute episode and holy crap I felt more in this condensed TNG-esque episode than anything on Discovery, let alone Picard. If you've never seen this, give it a watch. Totally worth it. I actually damn near shed a tear by the end because it actually felt like Star Trek.

Woah. I've been a Star Trek and sci-fi fan since my childhood in the early 70's when I first watched TOS and sci-fi shows like Space: 1999 on TV. How could I have not stumbled across this before? I have watched plenty of fan made Star Trek like Phase II, ST Continues etc. This is the best TNG style fan film I have watched so far. The quality of the spaceship scenes had such a TNG era feel to them. Uniforms fitted the crew members. The story was typical TNG era episode storyline. Only critique would be the actors voices was not re-recorded with studio quality sound and added on top but felt a bit like recorded in a room while filming, but that was a minor thing to me. To imagine fans could create and upload this 5 years ago and still all Paramount "professionals" can come up with is the Jar Jar Abrams action movies, STD and even ruin the Star Trek era and feel with Picard. I'm looking forward to watching any other episode from you. I saw a playlist with 16 items added. Hopefully all full episodes. This is like finding a hidden box with unreleased TNG spin-offs from the Star Trek glory days. 👍

@@FPSD Thank you and you're welcome. Yes I have put it in my daily playlist for today. Paramount should hire people like you and some others who make Star Wars fan projects. Compared to what Bad Robot and Alex Kurtzman does with Star Trek, these types of movies is so much better at capturing the Star Trek feel/atmosphere. JJ Abrams an Alex Kurtzman Trek can't even get the design of the Klingon ships or even the species to look right. They just keep ruining it. This was a wonderful watch.
@@FixFilmsLtd Well, thank you for making these movies. Giving us fans, Trekkies, Trekkers etc what we actually want to watch and not the bad stuff Paramount produces. Fan creations like yours, Star Trek continues, Avalon (and others) are the ones who are actually keeping the Star Trek legacy alive for actual Star Trek fans. Enjoyed both the film and this video. Then I realized these are 7 years old. The quality and prep work to accomplish the film(s), the numbers above are disappointing and unexplained. 5.14 / 11K / 450. I hope you are still making films - I will go look.
There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. This WAS Star Trek. Very very well done. Congratulations. Given that I am only seeing this five years after it's release, I certainly hope it spawned additional episodes as well done as this.

The acting is good, the sets are good, though I believe Roddenberry would cringe at any apologetics for religion, he practically considered religion a fairy tale for adults and was a staunch supporter of keeping religion well away from government.
Thanks for watching and your interesting comments. Fascinating you believe there is apologies for religion here. In many of the comments below, the Holy Core is considered blasphemous. As a writer of the film it was about exploring aspects of faith and science within a dramatic narrative, something that Star Trek has done too. I recall Deep Space Nine exploring faith, notably with the Bajorans. Everyone has their beliefs and interpretations and I appreciate yours.
