I found the early and alternate songs from The Lion King which the title was originally going to be King of The Jungle 1991 Songs: Thanks To Me (a early version of Be Prepared) Happy Days (a early version of Hakuna Matata) Can’t Wait To Be King (First Demo) Can You Feel The Love Tonight (King of The Jungle Demo) Can You Feel The Love Tonight? (Elton John original demo, November 1991) 1992 Songs: To Be King The Lion in The Moon The Warthog Rhapsody The Madness of Scar Be Prepared (reprise) If I Fall In Love Tonight (Brad Kane and Lea Salonga Demo)
Reading that description- I swear Alan Menken puts puppies to shame. Whenever I see him interviewed I feel like shouting "someone give this man a hug, stat!" RIP Howard. A genius, a gentleman, and a most excellent comic poet.
Are the lyrics by Howard Ashman? The description says Howard Menken, but I assume you mean Ashman. Not trying to be pedantic, just wanted to make sure! Thanks for this upload, never even heard of this song before so it's great to hear it!!!
These people in the background witnessed a dragon smash through the windows only a couple of hours ago and now they're clearing up like it's the end of any other normal function. 😂
A 116 and riverside drive huh that sounds like LA not NYC? So was Snow White Wicked Stepmother/Evil Queen ruling two Kingdom at once living double life or did she rule Snow White Kingdom after this one or is she twin Sister of Snow White Evil Stepmother/Wicked Queen or she just like dressing like her? They half to explain this!
I find the evolution of that piano riff at the end interesting in how many things it has represented in the show. It intersects with Seymour's verse on Skid Row, as well as (kind of) being turned major and staccato for The Worse He Treats Me.
Despite being a production master, this version is WAY better than the final. At least we can actually hear the lyrics and vocals better without all those obnoxious sound effects.

Thanks for posting this! It’s a shame this wasn’t used in the film (or even used as an end credits song), but it’s great to have it available to listen to.
Vocal: It’s the Circle of Life (Chorus: Circle of Life) Vocal: And it moves us all (Chorus: And it moves us, oh it moves us all) Vocal: Through despair and hope (Chorus: Who-oa, Who-oa) Plz upload the Brenda Fassie version?
